Liana walked toward Javier, picking up pieces of roast meat from the grill and placing them onto his plate. Delya, seated on his lap, carefully cut the meat into bite-sized pieces and lifted one to Javier’s lips with her usual dreamy smile. Javier took the piece, chewing slowly as he glanced at Liana.

From the side, Buddy, who had been eyeing the meat from the side, seized his moment. He snapped one of the pieces with a swift, silent motion and gulped it down in an instant, then pretended to stand there innocently, his head turning away as if he had been minding his own business the entire time.

"Young Master? Why did you give her two months?"

Javier smiled, chewing the meat Delya had just fed him before speaking in a calm tone. "What’s the rush, Liana? It’s not like I’m in need of any personal maid right now. Besides, I have you all, right?"

"Still. It’s Lady Mother’s order and request. She specifically asked me to oversee the selection of suitable candidates to serve as your personal maids. She believes it’s time for you to have a dedicated staff, separate from the household."

Javier smiled softly, taking Liana’s hand and pulling her gently onto his lap. He wrapped his arms around her from behind before pulling Delya onto his other lap, holding both of them close.

"I’m grateful that you think so much about it, Liana. But it’s still a long time before I have to take on any official duties or inherit the crown. And besides, I don’t see the need for personal maids right now. Every mission, quest, or job I take on requires me to travel alone, or with Buddy, or with a small team. Having personal maids following me around would only complicate things."

Liana turned her head slightly to face him, her eyes turning serious as she met his gaze.

"But it’s Lady Mother’s order."

Javier chuckled softly, picking up another piece of meat and feeding it to Liana, who accepted it gracefully. He then fed another piece to Delya, who smiled dreamily as she chewed.

"For now, Liana, just do what you need to do and focus on what’s more important. The only first official duty that will require me to be attended to is the upcoming trouble with Lord Zurakan. Until then, let’s just enjoy the peace we have."

Liana puffed her cheek and let out a soft huff, crossing her arms as she turned her head away. Her voice carried a slight pout as she spoke.

"If Lady Mother gets angry, you’ll be the one in trouble. Don’t involve me in your mess. I’m just following orders."

Javier chuckled softly, reaching out and gently pulling Liana close. He pressed a warm kiss to her cheek, his voice low and soothing.

"You know I’d never let you take the blame for anything. If Mother gets upset, I’ll handle it. I always do, right? Besides, you’re too beautiful to be angry with. It makes my heart ache."

Liana let out a soft exhale, giving him a side-eye before picking up a piece of meat and shoving it into his mouth, making him grunt in surprise.

"Chew your food and stop flirting."

She stood up, picking up the tong and turning toward Buddy. With a swift motion, she smacked his beak, making him startle and squawk in protest.

"Cuquawked!" (Oi! My master is the one who caused the trouble, not me!)

Liana waved the tong at him, one hand resting on her hip as she fixed him with a sharp glare.

"Do you think I didn’t notice you just ate several slabs of meat off the grill? Hmm!?"

Buddy gave her a side eye, his beak curling into a smug smirk as he wiggled his eyebrows.

"Cuquawked! Cuquawked~" (It’s just a few slabs! Not like I’m eating everything~)

Javier chuckled softly, watching Liana scold Buddy while the huge pekko averted his eyes, pretending to be innocent. He glanced down at Delya, who leaned against him, resting her cheek against his chest with a soft, contented hum.

Just as he was about to lift another piece of meat to his lips, a rush of hurried footsteps echoed from the direction of the manor.

Javier slowly turned his head.

"Nyaaaa! Husband!!"

His eyes widened. "M... Mimi!?"

Mimi was already in mid-air, her arms spread wide, her tail streaming behind her, her face lit up with pure, gleeful excitement. She crashed into him like a small, furry cannonball.

"Oof!"

She crashed into him at full speed, sending him stumbling backward. The cushion chair tipped, the soft cushions flew, and Javier fell flat on his back with Mimi sprawled on top of him, her chin resting on his chest and her tail swaying happily.

"Nya~ Husband~"

Delya, who had been sitting on his other lap, stood up calmly the moment Mimi crashed toward Javier. She watched the scene unfold with her usual dreamy smile, her chocolate jar still hugged close to her chest, as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened.

Javier pinched the bridge of his nose, letting out a long, weary exhale as he stared up at the sky. After a moment, he glanced down at Mimi, who was still nuzzling against his chest, her ears twitching with contentment and her tail swaying lazily behind her. He reached up and gently patted her head, his fingers threading through her soft hair.

"Mimi... you shouldn’t jump on people like that. You could hurt someone. Or yourself."

Mimi lifted her head, blinked at him before she sat up on his body, straddling his stomach. She tilted her head to the side, placing one finger on her lips as she glanced down at him with a curious expression.

"Nya? Why?"

Javier shook his head, a helpless smile spreading across his face.

"Because it’s dangerous. And it’s not exactly proper behavior for a princess."

"Nya? But I’m your wife. And you’re my husband. So I can~ Tehehe~"

Javier sat up with a soft grunt, and Mimi shifted to his side, immediately latching onto his neck and hugging him tightly, wrapping both her legs around his waist the moment he stood up. She nuzzled into his neck, her tail curling contentedly as he dusted off his pants.

"Nya~ Husband smells nice~"

Delya stepped forward and gently helped brush the dust from his coat, her dreamy smile never fading as she worked.

"Ne~ Ne~ Husband?"

"Hmm? Yes, Mimi?" Javier smiled down at Mimi, who was still clinging to him, her arms wrapped around his neck and her legs locked around his waist.

"Let’s mate, nyaaa~"

Liana paused mid-scold, the tong hovering in the air as she turned her head slowly toward Mimi. Buddy glanced at Mimi with narrowed eyes, his beak curling into a smirk. Delya let out a soft, weary exhale, shaking her head slowly.

"Mimi... you just had yours last night. Until dawn. You could barely walk afterward. And now you want more?" Liana’s voice was flat, but there was a clear edge of disbelief beneath it.

Delya nodded, her voice soft but weary. "Last night until dawn still isn’t enough for you? The rest of us are still sore and tired. You should be resting, not clinging to Husband and asking for more."

Buddy let out a sharp, mocking squawk.

"Cuquawked!" (This horny cat needs to learn some self-control!)

Mimi puffed her cheek slightly, hugging Javier even tighter as she nuzzled into his neck.

"Nya~ But he smells nice. It makes Mimi turn on~ Ehehee~"
