Reborn In A Cultivation World With All Cheat Abilities
Chapter 173: The Foreseaable FutureEveryone screamed, the voices of Alaric, Banqui, and Yggros all combined to form a deafening shriek as the red sap splashed on the root of the tree, immediately absorbed into the earth.
Jacob watched in horror as all these thing unfolded before his very eyes. This was a future that was destined without his interference.
The entire space was silent for a while, then there was a low rumbling, the ground began to shake violently as red veins of light were etching onto the tree.
It’s leaves withered and new, red leaves grew in its place. The world was reacting to the tree being corrupted.
Accompanying the rumble, a tear was instantly formed in the ground, running all the way from the root of the tree to the end of the space.
The ground had severed in two. Jacob, and everyone present watched as the ground was split, and the slit was expanding.
It was not just a crack in the ground, it was a tear in reality itself.
The seal that kept the demon king in Helmand all this time was finally opened.
"Yesssss! At long last." Morbius shouted as he fell to his knees.
A glowing, giant red orb floated out of the ground, glowing in insidious colors, everybody watched, jaws dropped, dumbfounded at the sight that they were witnessing.
"Lucien... what have you done?" Alaric turned to the Angel, despair filled his voice. For the first time, Jacob saw his grandfather actively terrified.
Morbius ignored the man’s words, he only bowed continuously as the red orb floated towards the tree.
The red orb suddenly exploded into a pool of blood and a very tall man—even taller than Jacob—dropped onto the floor.
He wore very regal, red clothing embroidered with jewels, and he had very pale skin.
His full, jet black hair ran all the way to his chest as he stood gracefully before Morbius, who lay completely on the ground in reverence.
The man’s pupils were completely red as they carefully, slowly scanned the area.
One thing that really struck Jacob about this strange man was that he was... handsome, extremely handsome.
"Welcome master! At long last, you are free, you can design this wretched world as you please!" Morbius said from the ground.
"Silence Morbius." The man said calmly as he turned to Lucien.
"Lucien, my friend. You have served me faithfully, sometimes against your better judgement. You will be duly rewarded as I will aid in your goal of overthrowing the gods." The Demon King spoke to Lucien.
"I appreciate your support, I will do my best to also pull my—"
"Who said you had to be involved?" The demon king flashed him a sinister look, and with one wave of his hand, Lucien’s neck instantly buckled under extreme pressure, cracking. His head twisted and was instantly ripped off his body.
Everybody else gasped, just like that the Angel was dead.
"This world is not yours to conquer! Or control!" Banqui could be seen shouting from a distance in anger. The Qi around him had burst completely and his body was surging with energy.
But just like Lucien, with one snap of the demon king’s hand, the Dragonborn’s head was immediately disconnected from his body.
"This world is weak. The inhabitants of this world are weak. Which is why intend to change it. I intend to bring strength to this world." The Demon king mouthed as he stretched his hand outwards, breathing in the air aggressively.
Alaric was never one to give up. He stood there, gathering his remaining energy.
"He was right you know. Sooner or later, you’ll be sealed again." Alaric said, his eyes glowing as lightning flickered violently around him.
The Demon King flashed him a disdainful look as he responded. "Is that so."
Jacob was marveled at the amount of power that this being possessed, at how long this entity had spent in this world.
Alaric vanished from his spot, that was the fastest Jacob had ever seen his grandfather move. Unfortunately, the Demon King was faster.
Just before the man could reach the Demon King, a barrier was created, blocking the path between them. Alaric looked as though he was restrained completely, he was held in place as he floated into the air.
"You are also weak, just like your descendants. You will perish. And so will every other weak individual that lives in this world." The Demon King said as he squeezed the life out of Alaric slowly.
The man began to bleed through every hole in his head, his body looked as though it were being compressed by the air around him.
"Grahhhh!" The man screamed as his body writhed in unimaginable pain.
"No!! Nooo! Nooo!" Jacob screamed, and watched in absolute terror as his grandfather was smushed to death by the Demon King and thrown to the ground like a piece of dirt.
"Master. Now there is no one left to hinder your reign!" Morbius said, still on the ground.
"There is one more person." The demon king said as he looked towards the direction where Jacob stood, he began to walk slowly in the direction.
’Can he see me? W-Where is he going?" Jacob’s mind and heart raced as the Demon King walked towards him.
Just as th Demon King reached out to grab him, Jacob was whisked back to the Hall of Destiny. He was clutching the book so tightly he thought he might rip it apart.
There were tears running down his face uncontrollably. He had just witnessed the future, the fate of the World as he knew it.
The regulator was telling the truth. He was the only one who could even stand a chance at stopping this dreadful thing from happening.
He closed the book slowly and placed it back on the shelf, taking a step back.
After what he had just witnessed, it was time to return to the real world and do his best to prevent the demon king from having his way in the world.
If he could ensure that the demon king remained in Helmand then they would not have to worry about him for the next few centuries at least.
