Reborn In A Cultivation World With All Cheat Abilities
Chapter 201: “Infinite… Comprehension”"You asked to see me grandpa?" Jacob said as he closed the door of his Alaric’s office behind him, three days had passed since the incident with his mother and Jacob had so ent most of his time either flying with Raijin or visiting different worlds.
"Yes my boy, take a seat." Alaric took of a pair of gold-framed spectacles and placed them neatly on his desk lined with papers and sealed envelopes.
Jacob took a seat in the brightly illuminated room and crossed his legs, it was something he would almost always do when he sat down, it had slowly become a part of him.
Alaric sighed, Jacob studied the old man for a moment, there was no sign of the man being distressed or worried, from Jacob’s deduction, tbe man was only tired.
"I’ve spoken to Principal Tommen, he would provide you with the very best accommodation once you resume..." the old man said, wiping away the built up perspiration from around his eyes.
"Grandpa, you want my classmates to think I’m some kind of spoilt brat don’t you?" Jacob smiled at Alaric and shifted in the seat.
"No I just want you to be comfortable."
"That really won’t be necessary grandpa, if I get special treatment, then I’ll just come off as an obnoxious, spoilt brat." Jacob reminded him. "Besides, if I ever feel uncomfortable, I’ll just create an AirBnB for myself."
"AirBnB? What’s that?" Alaric said, his face covered in confusion.
"Oh grandpa! It’s something I read about once, it’s some kind of comfortable home that provides you with anything you want."
"Oh... I haven’t read any books that talk about an AirBnB, and I can bet that I’m well read, more than you anyway." Alaric laughed as he placed his glasses back on.
In the two and a half years that Jacob had spent at home, Alaric had bothered him almost every day of it, asking how he got his powers and what exactly they were. Sometimes he even regretted the grand display he put on in the Treant Garden. Eventually he caved and told the man about his <Infinite Comprehension> and that was it.
Jacob told him that this skill allowed whatever he thought about to be possible, and it was a skill he was provided with at birth, and it worked. The man had stopped cornering him and asking him questions.
His father and grandmother, however, had no inkling of this information. Rhoarin was rather preoccupied, and Esty was just happy that her family was safe. She was the kind of person who did not bother too much with things.
After a while Alaric had begun to beg Jacob for a demonstration of this <Infinite Comprehension> he spoke of, until Jacob finally agreed again and materialized a few objects in his hand, the man marveled, his eyes wide with surprise and shock.
’In my entire life I have never seen anyone capable, although history books claim that gods and other entities have walked amongst us for periods at a time. I just haven’t come across anything like this.’ The man said then.
Jacob had also told him that there was no limit to what he could create, just as the name suggested.
"Remember to use that Infinite..." Alaric started.
"Comprehension." Jacob assisted him with finishing his sentence.
"Comprehension. Yes. Remember to use it to give yourself the advantage in that academy boy. We are Ironfell, whatever we find to do, we stand out. Remember that."
"Don’t worry grandpa, I plan to utilize a lot more to my advantage." Jacob smiled knowingly, flashing his pearly white teeth and watching as Alaric nodded back at him.
"Then that will be all grandson." The old man leaned back in his chair and picked up a burly, brown cigar, he placed it between his teeth and lit the other end with the tip of his finger.
"You’re so formal." Jacob grabbed the handles of the chair and pushed himself to his feet. "Also, that stuff will kill you."
"Eh well, it hasn’t killed me yet." Alaric laughed. "See you later grandson."
Jacob merely did a waving gesture and closed the door behind him once again after he had left the room.
He took the long stroll to his room, the sunlight draped almost perfectly through the windows as his sandals clacked against the polished marble floors, when he looked down at them, he could see his reflection in them.
He passed by a couple of servants on his way back to his room and they all greeted him with smiles on their faces as he waved back at them. Jacob was nice to everybody, he loved his life, therefore he was able to display that love to other people.
Some of the maids greeted him with bright red blushes on their faces, but it was only normal, he was used to it by now, so he wasn’t too dazed by it.
He finally reached his room, he had not been able to see Luke much today because he was out with Elena, Rhoarin was in his Patriarch office, attending to his duties.
To be Frank, the man had not had much time to do much for the past few months, which was understandable, as he now shouldered a plethora of responsibilities.
He sat down on his mattress and sighed, then breathed in again.
<You have received a breakthrough>
The notifications were so frequent that he almost always ignored them, he smiled at the glowing panel and in that second, he heard a soft knock on his door, it sounded thrice.
"Come on in." Jacob said, he already knew who it was. He leaned back on the frame of the bed and waited for the person to come in.
Xenia stepped in slowly, gracefully. Her long flowing red hair had been trimmed at the edges and she wore a more womanly dress. Although it was plain, as she did not really like multicolored clothing; it still clung to her curves in a very attractive manner.
Her gold earrings almost touched her shoulders as she stepped in.
"Good day. Young master Jacob."
