"...A universe entirely and completely separate from the one the Highest Will governs has taken special interest in us, and we don't even know who or where it is."
Kael listened to George, but his mind was already working. He did a double take on the Alphaverse and still found nothing.
He was able to find the strange power on the body of the little Primordial Dragon because he was standing directly in front of it and his power was most intense and concentrated on his own body.
"Hmm," Kael hummed slightly, tilting his head and lowering his body.
Suddenly, Kael's knees bent, and the nearly eight-foot-tall and muscular humanoid went down to the ground, his kneecaps touching the dirty soil gently.
The action was so sudden and so strange that George and the Nanny were flabbergasted.
Instinctively, George went down on one knee, not daring to remain standing while the All-King was on his knees.
Why did the All-King kneel? He did not know, but they were about to find out.
The Nanny also remained on her knees and even bowed her head to avoid looking into Kael's eyes.
Meanwhile, Kael paused them with no attention, or maybe he did. It was unclear what he would have done to them if they didn't go on their knees as well.
At the same time, Kael paid more attention to the little dragon. That was his reason for kneeling.
This would be one of the few times that he would be interacting with a Primordial from the very moment it was born. The first time was with George.
Kael looked at the newborn dragon, and his golden eyes clashed with the purple eyes of the little winged reptile.
Kael opened his mouth. "Come," He said. His voice came out soft and comforting.
The little dragon blinked its eyes, looking at Kael with pure innocence and wonder for this world.
Like a wet machine compelled by its programmer, it took some steps forward. Its little stubby feet and claws helped it move closer and closer to Kael until it was directly in front of Kael.
The All-King smiled a little, a smile that wasn't really genuine, nor did it come from his heart.
He just…smiled
Kael stretched out his right hand and placed it on the smooth head of the baby dragon. It was actually his first time in both lives that he was touching the body of a baby dragon.
It felt nice.
The baby dragon leaned into his hand, feeling the warmth of a being that could shield it from any danger. Just the sensation of Kael's hand on its head made it feel as though it could do absolutely anything and get away with it because Kael would be standing behind it.
For a being affiliated with Destruction to think of such a thing at such a young age, it gave a glimpse of the kind of entity it might grow up to be in the future.
Unlike George, this baby Primordial was not born with an insane level of intelligence and wisdom. It didn't know how to identify itself from others or know what it was yet.
It had the regular mind of a regular baby dragon.
So, it by no means had any pressure or incentive to grow up with a mind that was governed by logic and pragmatic decision-making.
Kael read the surface and deep thoughts of the dragon. He established a simple language model in the mind of the dragon and sent it a copy of the contract.
With a little nudge from the All-King, the baby Primordial Dragon of Destruction signed the contract without knowing what it was getting into. The process was finalized with the dragonling's eyes flashing gold for a second before turning back to purple.
But that was an isolated matter as the real deal was that Kael now had the Law of Destruction under his control.
The Law of Destruction, the rawest and most offensive force in the entire cosmos, was now his to command. This changed the nature of Kael's other powers almost immediately.
Kael blinked, rubbing the head of the little dragon while maintaining his not-so-kind smile.
The duality will be complete once he gets his hands on the Law of Creation.
"His name will be Philip," Kael said, deciding to name him after one of the rulers from his past life.
Philip was a simple name, but it held weight.
George breathed a sigh of relief at this. This meant that the All-King had accepted the Primordial Dragon.
He had feared that the All-King would kill the Primordial Dragon because of the Foreign Power that was now present.
As the control freak that the All-King was, knowing that some things were happening and he was not aware of it was a very bad feeling.
There was no way the All-King would be okay with a Primordial being born without him being aware for two whole minutes.
"Someone has waged war on me from the shadows…" Kael muttered as he stood up. A new feature was actively being created to solve the problem.
Kael did not need to panic. The Highest Will had kept this foreign power out of the main universe for eons; he just had to copy the original framework.
The Outerverse…
"This power, George," Kael turned to the monkey man that stared at him with those intelligent blue eyes, "This power is the same one that played a hand in the downfall of the Monkey Race.
It is the same power that influenced Derylia.
The owner, in his or her infinite stupidity, must think we do not learn from our failures…"
Kael's one grew hard and heavy; he stood up to his full height, and his eyelids dropped halfway. Killing intent and a desire to conquer new territory welled up within.
Dangerous, the All-King was dangerous.
"The matter will be handled; we're not the only ones facing this crisis, so just keep an eye on it for me while I work," Kael gave his orders.
"Yes, Your Majesty…" George answered, having his own thoughts.
Just then, a black streak landed outside the dome-shaped nest. Marcus had arrived.
