The ensuing fight with the Living City Core inside Yuki’s brain was far from legendary. Yuki had figured out early on that while inside his own mind, he could manipulate the surrounding landscape, changing its direction if he focused hard enough.

Whenever the Core managed to get too close, Yuki simply altered the terrain—fittingly choosing to warp the world into a massive, hollow cube, or raising the ground at such a sharp incline that the Core lost its grip and tumbled all the way back down to the bottom.

Eventually, realizing it couldn’t reach Yuki while being systematically torn apart by his core system’s auto-defenses, the living city shifted its target to his Sentient System Interface. However, that attempt ended in total disaster, leaving the Core utterly defeated and dissolved.

"Huuu... what a day," Yuki exhaled, flopping onto his back on the ground. "I’m glad that’s over. I can finally leave."

Ding!

[NOTIFICATION: User’s mind has experienced severe mental corrosion from external attacks and the Living Metropolis Core.]

[User’s consciousness will remain locked inside the mind realm until automatic mental regeneration is complete.]

"What...?"

Ding!

[WARNING: System’s Experimental Sentient Interface has sustained significant damage, losing 79% of active internal data.]

[INITIATING PROTOCOL: Creating New Familiar.]

[Fusing existing data of Experimental Sentient Interface with absorbed energy of the Living Metropolis Core...]

[Time until completion: 90 Days.]

"??!!... Administrator!" Yuki called out in a panic.

Ding!

Another system notification popped up with a warning. Then another. Then another.

The notifications kept flooding in, flashing in endless red windows without any end in sight. Subconsciously, Yuki called out for his System to summarize what was going on—only to remember she wasn’t there.

"Ugh, I have to read everything myself now? Bummer..." Yuki sighed.

After what felt like eight solid hours of reading through dense system logs, Yuki finally grasped his situation. In short: his mind was an absolute wreck. If he tried to force his way out right now, he would physically die. He was trapped here for 90 days, though fortunately, time moved much faster inside his subconscious, meaning it would only translate to a few days in the real world.

Suddenly, space behind Yuki distorted and ripped apart, causing the ground beneath him to tremble.

And then... She arrived.

"Yuki... why are you still in here?!" the Administrator asked, floating down with an annoyed expression. "It’s time for you to leave and do your job, I—OH!"

She stopped mid-sentence, staring blankly up at the corrupted, glitching sky of his mind realm.

"Oof... yikes. Okay... change of plans!" she chuckled nervously, quickly floating over and placing her hands on his head.

"What’s happening to me?" Yuki asked, utterly confused.

"Nothing to worry about! Just... a tiny bit of system feedback!" she offered an overly bright, fake smile. "I’ll fix it right away!"

"..."

"..."

"Um... Administrator, is something supposed to happen?"

"..., I’ll be right back," she said flatly, stepping back, vanishing into light, and instantly reappearing a second later.

She walked up to Yuki and tossed a glowing plant bud alongside a shimmering golden cube into his lap.

"What are these?"

"The seed of a new God Tree and a Pocket Dimension."

"Oh! Thanks," he said, giving her a warm, innocent smile.

"No problem!" she chuckled nervously, sweating bullets.

Beside them, the air tore open again. A towering entity enveloped in blinding white light materialized and began scanning the broken realm.

"Good job, idiot. You done fucked this guy’s brain up. Any more fuck-ups and you’re dead. Got it?"

"I... I understand," the Administrator bowed her head, desperately holding back her tears.

The higher entity snapped its fingers. Reality shifted violently, morphing the mind realm into a surreal recreation of a modern Earth city.

"Alright, that’s that. Kid, you have 30 days instead of 90 in here until your brain sorts itself out, so... just live, I guess. Also, everything in your System panel has been reset, except for your familiar Vee and your total absorbed essence core count."

"..., does that mean my System Shop is gone?" Yuki asked, his eyes widening.

"Yep. Back to zero. Same for your inventory," the entity said bluntly.

"..., oh. Okay."

"Umm, well! There’s some good news!" the Administrator chimed in, laughing nervously. "You get to choose a new theme for the store this time! You can set it up as a Food Shop! That’s good news, right?!"

"Can I sell the God Tree bud to my System Shop for points?" Yuki asked the glowing entity.

"Yes, you can—just not in this realm. You’ll have to wait until you’re back in the real world. Also, fgf5yfvi5rrvi95cji87... you owe him a wish. So figure it out, because all of your Apostles have been confiscated by High Command, your rank has been reset to Level 2, and you can now only gain Divine Essence from the pleasure others experience through your remaining Apostle. And this kid is the last of them."

The entity turned its blinding glare back to both of them.

"Well, that’s all. Goodbye, you two. If I have to come down here again, it will be the last time for both of you."

In a flash of light, the supreme entity vanished, leaving Yuki and the Administrator standing in dead, awkward silence.

The Administrator cleared her throat, trying to regain her composure. "Ahem! Since you insist on getting beat up in the real world, I’m pulling your scientist friend’s mind in here too! Now entertain each other, eat some modern food, and generate some happiness energy for me before your time is up!"

"Bitch, this is entirely your fault!" Yuki snapped back, thoroughly pissed off.

"Why are you getting mad at me?!" she screeched.

"And why her?! Wouldn’t it be better to bring Vee in here?!"

"I don’t have enough energy to bring Vee into this realm!" she huffed. "...I’ll be going now. Bye!"

Yuki watched her vanish into thin air. Exhausted, he let out a long sigh, walked into a random apartment building on the street, and claimed one of the units as his own.

The moment he stepped inside, the entire modern world came vibrant life around him. He could suddenly feel temperature, wind, and the smell of fresh food, while construct humans walked the streets outside as if it were absolute reality.

Back in the real world, the Administrator projected herself before the party and explained the situation. She had expected them to panic or ask a barrage of frantic questions, but instead, they simply shrugged and accepted it.

"..., why are you guys not surprised at all by this?!" the Administrator asked, dumbfounded.

"It’s Yuki," they all answered in unison.

"So, Nyquella..." Vee said, stepping forward and patting her gently on the back. "Looks like you get to treat this as a vacation with Yuki. Enjoy your time with him!"

"Really?" Nyquella asked, her cheeks flushing slightly. "You’re not mad that I might... you know... do stuff with him?"

"No, not at all," Vee said casually. "Just... don’t let him bite you and inject his venom. You’re quite small and soft, so the effects might be way more intense for you."

"Thanks," Nyquella said, smiling warmly.

"Of course! Now go—we need Yuki back as quickly as possible. I want real food again! Camilla sucks at cooking, and Malakai’s food just isn’t as tasty as Yuki’s."

"Rude!" Camilla pouted, crossing her arms.

The Administrator gave them brief instructions on how to prepare Nyquella’s body for the mental link, then initiated the transfer process.

Once the magic flared and Nyquella drifted off to sleep, Vee turned back to the Administrator. "So... the Sentient Interface is becoming a familiar like me?"

"Yes."

"And who picked her new physical form?"

"It is automatically generated from your Master’s subconscious desires and her own internal preferences—just like you were."

"Good to know," Vee said, a sly grin spreading across her face.

"..., why are you smiling like that?" the Administrator asked, suddenly suspicious.

Vee just winked. "Don’t worry about it."
