Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?
Chapter 2092: The Most Malevolent Alliance-----
The Evil God of Dungeons continued.
"The Divinity of Monsters you’ve pieced together is something even I couldn’t figure out," the he said. "I suppose the key was shattering one divinity first and fusing it with hundreds of thousands of monster souls, just as you did. I would never have considered it—I’m not pathetic or desperate enough to shatter my own divinities. Hahaha!"
"A-Ah..."
"But you did it. And that Divinity... I want it."
"Eh?! Wait, I can—"
"Calm down. I am proposing an alliance, Lolth. An alliance. I am not barbaric enough to attack you and devour you like a beast. Unlike the others, I have kept my humanity. I have kept who I am and refused to let madness consume me."
"..."
The Evil God of Dungeons sneered and extended his hand, inviting hers.
"So? What do you say? Will you join hands with me, Lolth?"
"I will...! Please, allow me to serve you."
She lowered herself once more as the Evil God of Dungeons laughed and nodded in approval.
"Good. Very good. Your power complements dungeons perfectly and allows them to evolve even further. As you know, I have been delving into Miasmic Arts and Miasmic Creation. Yet your natural talent and mastery over them surpass even mine. It is... shocking."
"I do? I...!"
Lolth, who had always seen herself as beneath even a being like him, now realized she was far more special than she had ever imagined. Her life was finally turning for the better—especially after what he had offered her.
"Perfect that Divine Curse of yours," he commanded. "Then spread it through the other dungeons. Infect the cores, the monsters—everything."
"!!!"
"Mutate and improve the dungeons. Charge them with as much miasma as you can," the Evil God of Dungeons said, wearing a calm, malevolent smile. "I want you to build an army—an army vast enough to kill them all. And I want that curse to affect humans as well, turning them into your aberrations."
"I... I can do that with enough time, but I lack the resources—"
The Evil God of Dungeons snapped his fingers. A massive portal opened beside Lolth, and tens of thousands of house-sized Divine Stones poured through, followed by piles of Divinity Scrolls and Evil God Soul Crystals.
"Is that sufficient?"
"A-Ahhh!" Lolth screamed in disbelief. "Yes... YES! It is more than enough, my lord! I will do it! We will destroy that bitch together—and everyone else!"
"Good," he replied. "One last thing. Use the curse to enslave the dwarves. I want as many of them alive as possible. They will be perfect for the construction of something I am preparing."
"Understood." Lolth nodded, her eyes shining with fascination. "Anything else?"
He glanced at her with a smile. "No, that is all. Work hard. I will allow you to refine these dungeons and draw power from them. Grow as strong as you can."
"T-Thank you..." Lolth felt a deep stirring within her—almost like love—as she gazed at his handsome humanoid face and divine, almost holy presence despite his demonic features. Compared to every other evil god, including herself, he truly seemed divine.
"Then get to work, and do not slack off," he said. "We must finish this before she leaves. I am preparing something on my own as well—the first prototype of many. I believe it may be enough to stop her, but we can never be too certain."
"Yes," Lolth nodded. "Understood."
In that moment, Lolth felt truly euphoric. She grew stronger by the hour. Her Divinity was fully formed, and she became the first Evil Goddess of Monsters. She then began forging a Secondary Divinity while expanding her Authority across the mountains.
Every dungeon was soon infected. She gathered vast quantities of curses within them until they erupted. The dungeons twisted, and every monster inside transformed into abhorrent creatures far stronger than before.
The plan had begun. Everything was falling into place. Dimenion had appeared. Sylph was dead. The world would soon be hers!
And yet... it did not happen. Against all expectations, she returned. She fought. She killed Lolth again. Now, after so many humiliations, Lolth still clung to life—still clung to that faint, desperate hope that she could become more.
This desperate struggle was what made her so strong. Despite the agony, despite the despair, despite the crushing fear... she persevered. Lolth rose from the pool as her second divinity rapidly manifested. She drained hundreds of thousands of monster souls, compressing and refining them into power.
She devoured the divine stones the Evil God of Dungeons had left her, one after another, refilling her energies and surging tremendously stronger once more.
Her wounded soul regenerated faster and faster.
"I don’t care what happens to that bastard Dimenion," she snarled. "I am the one with the greatest advantage here...! And I will show you that those cursed aberrations are not the only thing I now command!"
With wrathful fury, Lolth unleashed her Divine Authority. The dungeons that had not yet been cleansed trembled violently. Before the eyes of those still fighting the people turned into monsters...
RUMBLE!
Wave after wave of aberrant, mutated monsters surged from the dungeons. They poured out of entrances or tore open new Dungeon Gates, smashing buildings and crushing people beneath them.
"Aaaaggghhh!"
"No—how many monsters are there?!"
"This is ridiculous!"
"There’s no hope! Run!"
The people tried to flee, but a giant barrier of divine power blocked their escape, searing anyone who touched it to ash. Panic and screams filled the air as the twisted versions of the monsters they had once hunted by the thousands now emerging to hunt them all.
Hundreds of nightmarish creatures flooded the streets. Some crawled on jagged, too-many limbs. Others slithered with acid-dripping tentacles or charged forward on bulging masses of muscle and bone. Their roars shook the buildings while their malformed bodies glowed with corrupt miasma.
"Mommy—!" a child’s cry was cut short as a spider-like abomination almost snatched him from his mother’s arms if it wasn’t for the intervention of an adventurer’s blade.
"Run! Fire! Use fire!" a desperate adventurer shouted, launching a blazing spell toward the horde. The flames licked across chitinous armor and rotting flesh, but the monsters only grew more frenzied. Pain no longer slowed them. It fueled them.
