I stood in the thick brush just beyond the tree line, watching the heavy metal door of the Ecliptic Express slide shut behind her.
My jaw hung open, a long, thick rope of bloody drool spilling from my exposed teeth to sizzle against the damp grass. I couldn’t help it. My canine salivary glands were currently set to maximum overdrive, and it wasn’t because I was hungry for flesh.
God damn.
Rebecca Chambers.
I knew she was a fan-favorite character. I had seen the low-poly renders from the classic games and the high-def remakes. But absolutely none of those digital pixels could have adequately prepared my mutated brain for the real, physical presence of the Bravo Team medic.
She was a solid, undeniable ten out of ten on both the cuteness and hotness meters.
She had that perfect, wide-eyed, slightly terrified innocence radiating off her. Her short, choppy brown hair framed a face that looked entirely too young and pretty to be holding a heavy-caliber firearm in a murder forest. The bulky S.T.A.R.S. Kevlar vest did absolutely nothing to hide the fact that she was highly, aggressively fuckable. In fact, the oversized tactical gear just made her look incredibly compact and vulnerable.
And her tactical uniform pants?
My mutated eyes practically zoomed in like a sniper scope. The dark fabric hugged her thighs and hips with absolute, heartbreaking perfection. As she had carefully climbed the metal stairs of the train car, her ass had shifted with a tight, muscular bounce that had completely short-circuited my higher reasoning.
My massive, purple, non-canine erection violently throbbed against my underbelly, completely ruining my stealthy, four-legged stance.
I let out a wet, rattling pant, my tongue lolling out the side of my ruined snout.
This was entirely the right call.
Getting to the helicopter crash site had been a chaotic mess. I had absorbed three more wandering corporate zombies and literally ambushed a pair of Cerberus dogs that were busy fighting over a severed arm. Crushing their skulls with a rock and slurping up their biomass had finally given me enough Evolution Points to buy the Cerberus Form from the shop.
The transformation had been disgusting. My rotting human flesh had snapped, popped, and violently contorted, forcing me onto all fours. My face had elongated into a mangy, skinless canine snout, and my ribcage had burst through the skin. It was degrading as hell to run around on four legs like a rabid stray, but the speed and agility upgrades were absolutely massive. I could finally sprint, leap, and track scents through the dark.
I had arrived just in time to watch the Bravo team get completely ambushed by a massive pack of infected hounds. It had been an absolute buffet of high-tier biological material just lying in the mud. Edward Dewey’s freshly mauled corpse was literally right there, begging to be absorbed.
But then I saw Rebecca sprint off into the dark, her perfect ass leading the way, and I immediately abandoned all practical survival strategy.
The biomass can wait. The medic cannot.
I crept out of the brush, my padded, clawed paws making absolutely zero noise against the wet gravel of the train tracks.
The Cerberus form was incredible for stalking. The low center of gravity kept me hidden in the tall grass, and my mutated olfactory senses could pick up the faint, wonderful scent of Rebecca’s fear, sweat, and cheap floral shampoo lingering in the cold air.
I padded up to the base of the metal stairs where she had just stood. I took a deep, aggressive sniff of the metal grate.
Beautiful.
I needed to be careful here. I was currently a dog. If I just burst through the door, Rebecca would mag-dump her Beretta directly into my skull before my massive, throbbing agenda could even be realized.
Luckily, the Ecliptic Express was currently infested with massive, mutated bio-leeches and a dozen pissed-off, undead Umbrella employees. She was about to be extremely busy.
I backed away from the stairs, using my powerful hind legs to leap directly onto the roof of the train car. My claws dug into the metal plating with a quiet tink-tink, anchoring my mangy, four-legged body against the cold wind.
I lowered my ruined snout to the roof, listening intently.
Right below me, I could hear the slow, cautious clack-clack of her combat boots walking down the carpeted hallway.
Take your time, Becca, I thought, my jaw grinding with a wet, feral excitement. Fight the zombies. Solve the puzzles. Exhaust yourself. I’ll be right up here, waiting for the perfect moment to show you my own special brand of intramural sports.
I slowly padded across the roof of the train, tracking the sound of her footsteps below, my massive, purple problem scraping awkwardly against the cold steel of the Ecliptic Express.
As I stalked across the metal roof, my mind forced itself to sober up a bit. The system’s debuff was screaming at me to just smash through the window and take her down right now, but I had to actively suppress the red-hot, feral fog trying to hijack my brain.
I wasn’t just here to act out my highly degenerate fantasies. I had an actual, logical reason for tailing the Bravo Team rookie.
Rebecca was easily the weakest, most inexperienced member of S.T.A.R.S. In the game, she only survives because an invisible player is constantly save-scumming, managing her inventory, and making sure she doesn’t get cornered by a leech zombie. But this was real life. There were no typewriters out here. There were no green herbs conveniently growing in pristine ceramic pots.
If I just let her wander through this nightmare alone, the statistical odds of her getting her throat ripped out or being digested by a giant centipede were terrifyingly high.
And I absolutely, fundamentally refused to let an ass that perfect get turned into zombie food.
It was a tragedy I was not willing to allow.
Besides, the Ecliptic Express and the underground training facility were absolute goldmines for high-tier evolution. She was going to inadvertently lead me straight to the heavy hitters. Giant mutated scorpions, massive infected bats, and, most importantly, the Queen Leech.
The Queen Leech was the real prize here. James Marcus’s pet project was a massive, writhing colony of bio-leeches that had somehow managed to completely mimic Marcus’s human form. They could shape-shift. They could sing. They could perfectly replicate a human body using nothing but squishy, parasitic biomass.
If I could kill that thing and absorb its genetic blueprint, I might actually be able to unlock a form that didn’t look like a rotting roadkill disaster. I might be able to look human again. And if I looked human, I wouldn’t have to spend the rest of my undead existence sneaking around on all fours, desperately trying to get laid while looking like a rabid stray.
Following Rebecca was the ultimate progression strategy. I would shadow her, let her trigger the traps and weaken the boss monsters, and then I would swoop in, steal the kills, absorb the heavy-duty biomass, and keep her alive in the process.
And if she happened to get pinned down, exhausted, and completely overwhelmed by the terror of the situation... well, I was more than willing to provide some highly aggressive, hands-on stress relief.
It was just a bonus. A very vital, thick, pulsating bonus.
I shook my mangy canine head, forcing the filthy thoughts back down into the dark basement of my mind. Focus. You are a biological killing machine on a mission. Stop thinking about the medic’s thighs.
I kept my center of gravity low against the cold metal, my ears twitching as I tracked her cautious footsteps moving through the train car below.
Suddenly, the steady clack-clack of her boots stopped.
I heard a sharp, metallic click. The sound of a heavy train cabin door sliding open on its rusted track.
Below me, a low, wet groan echoed from inside the cabin, followed by the immediate, panicked shout of the young S.T.A.R.S. operative.
"Stay back! I said stay back!"
Three deafening gunshots ripped through the quiet night, the heavy 9mm rounds echoing loudly through the metal hull of the train.
Ah. She found the passengers.

Extra information - Rebecca Chambers
Background:
A child prodigy, Chambers entered university at a young age and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry at 18. Scouted for her talents by various groups, she found herself picked for the Special Tactics and Rescue Service, the special forces division of the Raccoon Police Department Assigned to the Bravo Team in June 1998, Chambers officially served as the unit’s Medic and Rear Security alongside Edward Dewey, with whom she developed a close and playful friendship.Due to her youth and inexperience, fellow officer Richard Aiken was assigned as her training instructor to look after her on missions. Rebecca also joined the department’s intramural basketball team due to being an avid fan of the sport, to the point that she always played with her friends on holidays.
Chambers joined S.T.A.R.S. during a difficult period for the Raccoon Police Department. Since 20 May, the police had been investigating a series of animal attacks and cannibalistic murders taking place somewhere in Raccoon Forest, but in particular, the section of the Arklay Mountains in the city’s northwest. Failing to establish any suspects in mid-July, the R.P.D. formally assigned S.T.A.R.S. to the case.
On the night of Thursday, 23 July, Bravo Team took off in a Bell UH-1 Iroquois and flew northwest into the Arklay Mountains. Soon after 22:00, the helicopter experienced engine difficulties and was forced to make an emergency landing in the forest; this was later determined to be the result of sabotage but was unknown at the time.[note 1] In the initial search of the area, the team discovered a wrecked MP wagon, which was overturned while transporting a prisoner for execution. Marine Second Lieutenant Billy Coen, the prisoner, was not among the bodies and was immediately suspected of killing the two MPs. Consequently, the team changed their focus to searching for Coen while RPD pilot Kevin Dooley remained in the helicopter.
In the dark of the forest, Bravo team became scattered during their search and, soon after, were attacked by a group of Cerberuses that had been looming in the woods; Dooley was killed immediately, with Dewey suffering severe injuries from a mauling. Chambers meanwhile found herself separated from Aiken. Discovering a private train for Umbrella employees, the Ecliptic Express sat mysteriously in the wilderness.Captain Enrico Marini, Kenneth J. Sullivan, Forest Speyer, and Aiken took shelter in the Spencer Mansion and engaged in limited contact with Chambers. During her initial search of the train, Chambers discovered that its occupants had mutated into Zombies,
