Chapter 2000: Chapter 1821: Elite Organization (2)

The two people sitting opposite the old man were the same two who had just driven the Peugeot 508 into the manor.

The man named Oro spoke, "Mr. Kenno, we are merely speculating, whether someone from the Desla Family was actually killed, we cannot confirm. Moreover, that Blood Clan might have just been injured, not dead."

The old man referred to as Mr. Kenno nodded and said, "Alright, thank you very much for delivering this information. Our Desla Family will always maintain good relations with the French government."

Oro and his companion understood the implied meaning in Kenno’s words, it was a dismissal.

Although they wanted to establish some rapport with Kenno, the disparity in their statuses meant they had no choice but to leave.

"Well then, we shall take our leave."

Oro and his companion bade farewell and departed.

Once they had left, Kenno glanced at a man who looked like a butler standing by the door, and said in a deep voice, "Go ask around, see who is not present in the manor."

"Yes."

The butler responded, turned, and left.

"If it truly is a member of our Desla Family that’s been killed, I must investigate thoroughly."

Kenno’s face showed a cold expression as he picked up a glass of red liquid from the desk, gently shook it, and took a sip.

He frowned slightly, "Is this how Wolf Castle treats guests? I expressly said I prefer A-type blood, and yet they give me O-type. It seems the rulers of Europe should indeed be our Desla Family."

The moon was bright and stars sparse, at the stroke of midnight.

Within Bailuode Manor, most of the rooms had extinguished their lights, leaving the place silent and cold.

The defense in the yard was not weakened in the slightest, compared to daytime, it was more rigorous.

At least those ferocious Pit Bulls had all been released and were distributed across the manor.

Against experts, these dogs lacked combat effectiveness, but numbering in the dozens, unless eliminated instantly, they could serve as a warning.

Raymond, who was patrolling the west wall, yawned several times.

He said to Leo beside him, "Who knows how much longer their meeting will go on, it’s been three days, I’ve slept less than ten hours combined."

Leo also yawned alongside him, saying, "I say be content. Guarding here for a few days can earn you two thousand euros in pay, where else would you find such a good deal."

Raymond laughed, "Only Master Yinei would offer such a high reward."

Leo nodded in agreement, then lowered his voice and said mysteriously, "However, I think some of the people who came this time are quite strange. I recognize one of them, he’s a wanted criminal."

"A wanted criminal?!"

Raymond frowned, then dismissed it with a smile, "How could Master Yinei be involved with a wanted criminal, you must be mistaken."

Leo affirmed, "I’m not mistaken, back when I was in the police, I was involved in the operation to capture that person. We mobilized over a hundred people, yet he managed to escape and even killed nineteen of our officers. Later, his file vanished, and the police ordered us not to intervene in the matter."

Raymond was surprised, "Really? Something like that actually happened?"

Leo said, "Later on, by coincidence, I saw that person’s file again, it seems he belongs to some Dark Holy See."

"Dark Holy See? Never heard of it." Raymond shook his head, and cautioned Leo, "We really shouldn’t discuss these things, after all, Master Yinei and his kind are beyond our reach."

"Alright."

Leo responded, suddenly feeling a gust of wind blew past the west wall.

He looked up but saw nothing.

"What’s wrong?" Raymond asked.

Leo glanced around, then smiled, "Nothing, just a gust of wind."

Fifty meters away from them, on a tree, a shadowy figure was concealed among the branches.

This person was Song Yun.

"Indeed, members of the Dark Holy See are in this manor too, looks like I need to be careful."

Song Yun heightened his alertness, looking toward the buildings in the manor.

The main structures consisted of four castles; though not large, they were lavishly and splendidly constructed.

Seeing this, Song Yun was momentarily troubled.

Because he did not know which castle the Desla Family resided in.

Just then, he noticed a nearby castle with a window open, lights illuminating the inside, but no one was present.

"Let’s check it out first."

Song Yun used Phantom Step, and in the next second, his silhouette appeared inside that room.

He walked to the window, looked down, those outside were still patrolling, unaware someone had entered the room.

He closed the window, drew the curtain, and began to scrutinize the room.

It was a bedroom, retaining the style of the European Renaissance period, luxurious yet tasteful.

From the room’s decorations and single-color palette, Song Yun could tell it was a girl’s bedroom.

A black dress lay on the bed, resting atop was a woman’s intimate apparel.

Wait, women’s, intimate...

Song Yun frowned, what is this situation, could it be...

Splish splash...

Water sounds arose, Song Yun looked toward them, seeing the adjoining bathroom was lit, obviously a girl bathing inside.

Apparently done rinsing the bubbles off, the water quickly stopped.

It seemed the bathing girl was about to come out.

Song Yun moved swiftly to hide beneath.

Squeak.

The bathroom door opened, a girl in a pink cotton pajama stepped out.

To Song Yun’s surprise, the girl had Asian features.

"Strange, Wolf Castle, Dark Holy See, Desla Family, none should have Asians. Who is this girl?"

Song Yun puzzled over questions in his mind, carefully examining the girl.

The girl was around seventeen or eighteen, pure and lovely; she skipped lightly over, blinking large eyes playfully.

As she drew closer, from Song Yun’s line of sight, he could only see straight white legs through the gap below.

The movement overhead indicated the girl was seemingly sitting up.

"Huh, why is the window closed?"

The girl’s voice was sweet, as melodious as an oriole.

She spoke in Mandarin, allowing Song Yun to narrow her Asian origins down to being Huaxia.

A Huaxia person, staying in Wolf Castle’s manor, moreover, judging by the room’s content filled with female belongings, she must live here regularly.

This meant she was part of Wolf Castle.

Otherwise, she had profound connections with Wolf Castle.

Could she be a werewolf?

Song Yun pursed his lips, unable to imagine how terrifying a werewolf transformation of this playful girl would be.

"What’s this girl’s identity?"

Song Yun grew increasingly curious.

Seated, the girl began singing a song, a French children’s tune, articulated sweetly.

Three minutes passed, and the girl’s singing continued.

She seemed joyous tonight, not intending to sleep.

Although her singing was enchanting, Song Yun felt tormented, deciding to leave, yet unsure when the girl would finish singing and retire.

"Forget it, knock her unconscious, then leave the room."

Song Yun thought to himself.

Knock knock knock.

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door.

Then, a woman’s voice followed, "Xiao’er, are you asleep?"

"Sister Emily, how many times do I have to tell you, I am not called Xiao’er."

The girl murmured, slipped on her slippers, and walked over to open the door, addressing the person outside, "Sister Emily, hear me well, my name is Nie Wushuang."

The girl named Emily laughed, "Didn’t you say, in the Chinese characters, without a double, Nie is just ear, right?"

Nie Wushuang, ear.

Hearing this explanation, Song Yun chuckled inwardly, finding the girl’s name amusing.

However, amusing though it was, Song Yun lacked the leisure to waste time hiding below.

Yet, just as Song Yun resolved to knock the two girls unconscious, Nie Wushuang said something that changed his mind.

"Sister Emily, come in quickly. I eavesdropped on their meeting today, turns out they’re searching for the Ice Crystal Holy Grail."
