"M-my Lord, I must insist that this is not a good idea," a young boy insisted, sitting behind a massive rock, his every syllable laced in fear.

The boy had long sea green hair, tied into a braid that coiled on the ground like a serpent. He wore a sleeveless robe, exposing his arms covered in emerald scales that shimmered faintly in the dappled light. A pair of wings rested at his back, their membranes translucent and delicate, while his vertical slit mint eyes trembled in nervousness, darting around as if expecting danger to leap from every shadow.

"You worry too much, Arthur," another teenager of the same age as him replied, reassuring him in a smug tone. His voice carried an easy confidence, the kind that came from years of successful mischief. "Nothing is going to happen."

The boy had long, raven black hair spilled at his back, with sharp edges of multiple strands bulging out along the surface like thorns. They were loosely tied at the end with a golden ribbon that caught the light. His lean frame was clad in a silken robe of crimson and black, tied by a golden belt at the waist. Just like Arthur, his robe was also sleeveless, revealing the obsidian black scales covering his forearms, each one gleaming like polished stone.

"We even have Draven with us," Maximilian, the black haired boy reassured, his golden eyes with vertical pupils turning to his side in mischief where another young boy sat, taking the cover of the rock.

This third teenager had short crimson hair, vertical slit eyes of the same colour, and two small black horns bulging from his forehead. Unlike Arthur and Maximilian, Draven did not have his skin covered in scales. Even his clothing was different from the two. He wore a bone necklace with a crimson gem embedded at the centre, the jewel pulsing with a faint inner light.

"I am only here because you promised you would stop barging into our lands if I helped you this time," Draven said, his face expressionless, his voice carrying a slight annoyance. He crossed his arms, clearly unimpressed by the adventure.

"Haha, sure-sure," Maximilian chuckled before shifting his focus to the front as he peeked from the stone placed before them. His golden eyes narrowed, scanning the terrain ahead.

Beyond the stone was a gigantic tree, hiding the entire sky behind it. Each of its branches was wide enough to settle a small village, its leaves alone the size of a regular house. Several wooden houses were built at these branches of the tree, their balconies adorned with hanging lanterns, while massive phoenixes were visible, entering and exiting the tree, some even standing guard at different branches. Their feathers shimmered with hues of different color, a breathtaking display of natural majesty.

The trio waited for a few minutes, their breaths held in tense anticipation. The guards moved back as their shift was over, their forms retreating into the foliage. It would take a few minutes for the next guard to arrive. This was also their chance to sneak in.

Green wings spread at Arthur’s back while black emerged behind Maximilian as they rose into the sky, moving through the air as quickly as possible, leaving Draven behind.

Once they landed at a branch, they climbed upward, taking the cover of leaves, making sure no one caught onto them. The leaves rustled softly, masking their movements.

It took them several minutes to reach the midpoint of the colossal tree, where an elegant manor rested upon the ancient branches. Built in the style of an imperial eastern palace, its sweeping jade-tiled roofs curved gracefully into the sky, each corner adorned with gilded ornaments shaped like soaring phoenixes. Silk banners embedded at the roof, fluttered gently in the breeze, and delicate bridges connected pavilions nestled among the branches, making the entire residence appear like a celestial palace.

At the front of the mansion stood two beautiful women. Their bodies were largely bare, save for the soft, iridescent feathers that covered their breasts and the curves between their thighs. Countless azure wings rested upon their backs, their feathers catching the light in a cascade of blues and greens, while beneath their sharp eyes bloomed elegant fans of emerald and sapphire feathers that framed their faces like living art.

"The security is so tight this time," Maximilian muttered, his brows furrowing.

The door of the house opened, and from within emerged another beautiful woman, with glass like transparent wings that shimmered with an ethereal glow. Even the white fur on her body did little to no effect in hiding her curves on fair skin, the feathers doing little to conceal her form.

"Do these birds not know about clothes?" Arthur gasped, his face burning in a crimson hue. "Not like I am complaining or anything."

His words only welcomed a judging stare from Maximilian, who raised an eyebrow.

"Ahem, I apologise for my remarks," Arthur said awkwardly, clearing his throat.

"Stay on your guard. Those delinquents will surely come this year as well," she ordered the two guards. Her voice was firm, carrying the weight of authority. " The Clan Head is in close door cultivation. We must not let them steal the flame milk again."

"Yes, Lady Pyria," the two guards answered in unison, their voices resolute.

"Hah! If they think they can have that delicious milk all to themselves without making an offering to their grandpa, they are certainly delusional," Maximilian retorted with a smug smile, his golden eyes gleaming with mischief.

Just as he said those words, an oppressive energy erupted far at the ground. They could only see a crimson star glowing because of the height they were at from the land.

"Th-that’s Demonic Soulforce," Pyria gasped, her eyes narrowing at the energy source. Her wings fluttered with sudden tension, her feathers bristling. "We never had any conflicts with the demons. Why are they suddenly targeting us?"

"We should ask what they need?" One of the guards suggested, her voice carrying a hint of uncertainty.

Pyria nodded before the three of them flew away, their wings leaving the air current, their forms disappearing into the distance.

"Haha, it is so easy to fool these bird brains," Maximilian snickered as he moved the leaf away, quickly walking towards the wooden mansion.

"My Lord, I still do not think this is a good idea," Arthur whimpered, following Maximilian since he had no choice. "You are stealing their Flame Milk every year. They will not let this transgression be this time."

"Tch, I am the heir to the throne of Two Realms," Maximilian reminded him in an annoyed tone, waving a dismissive hand. "I am merely taking it as their offering to their future Supreme Leader." A smirk appeared on Maximilian’s face as he continued, "Besides, did you not hear? The clan head is in closed door cultivation. No one except her can catch us."

"N-now that you mention it..." Arthur felt a little bit more confident now, his steps although still shaking, grew quicker, his wings folding tighter against his back.

They entered the mansion from the main gate. It revealed a massive wooden hall with calligraphic paintings hanging on the wall. Pillars covered in intricate golden plating rose toward the ceiling, with red silken curtains connected to the parallel pillars.

On the floor at the centre of the hall, the wooden planks were removed, revealing the tree branch beneath. The auburn branch had a small pond of thick amber liquid, lighting up the entire hall with a warm, golden glow. Along with a sweet fragrance, the pond stirred the air around it, pulsing with a dormant energy.

"It looks so delicious," Maximilian gulped, drooling from the mere sight of the pond. His golden eyes reflected the amber glow, mesmerised by the liquid treasure before him.

"Now, I feel like this invasion was worth it," Arthur said, his emerald eyes never leaving the inviting pond. His earlier fear was momentarily forgotten, replaced by greedy admiration.

They sat beside the pond, drew a pouch from their waist, and dipped it into the pond. The amber liquid flowed into the pouches, its surface rippling with each movement. The level of the pond decreased ever so slightly as the pouches were filled.

"This much should be enough for me and Draven," Arthur said, looking greedily at his pouch. "We should leave qu—"

His words stopped mid-sentence as he found Maximilian chugging down his whole pouch that contained hundreds of litres of Flame Milk. The golden liquid spilled down his chin, but he did not care.

"M-my Lord, you may drink it after we leave the mansion," Arthur insisted in a pleading tone, his voice rising with panic.

Maximilian completely ignored his words. Once he parted the pouch from his mouth, he dipped it into the pond, filling it again.

"This is a golden opportunity," he snickered, the smile never leaving his face, his eyes gleaming with greed. "The stupid birds are all distracted by Draven, and that old hag is in closed door cultivation. We would never get a chance like this again."

"I wonder whom you are calling an old hag."

"Of course, their clan head. The only thing good about that granny is her massive ass that she shamelessly keeps in open for everyone to admi—" Maximilian stopped speaking as he found something strange, his eyes narrowing. His face turned to Arthur, who had lost all colour from his face, as if his soul had been taken out from his body.

"Why did you sound so feminine?"

"I wonder, why?" A feminine voice came from Maximilian’s behind, sending chills through his whole being.
