Rising Shards

I kept thinking someone would notice. We cleaned ourselves up after our bathroom quickie, but I still worried. I didn't think they'd kick us out or anything, but I prepared for it for whatever anxious reason.

Pippi, Mahina, Alix, and the others around were all dripping water when we rejoined the group in the big tent, having been hit with the traditional squirt gun, for probably getting frisky in a private tent.

"Where'd you two get off to?" Mahina asked.

Well, we got off alright.

"I...that's..." I stuttered.

"We just had to step out for a sec," Evy said, so coolly that I almost grabbed her hand and brought her back to that bathroom for more. "How'd the, uh, the festivities go here?"

"I just made out with Pippi!" Alix proudly announced.

"W-well!" Pippi said, pushing her glasses up. "I...would say..."

I could only smile and nod as Pippi tried to explain herself. She didn't really need to.

We're here for fun, and if fun meant her making out with the complete disaster of a woman that is Alix Corinani then I am here for her.

"It was just me and her, pure passion in her eyes," Alix said. "I would have gone so much farther, but we got squirt gunned just as our passions were getting really passionate. You get me?"

"I get it," I said. Evy looked like she was trying very very hard to be supportive hearing about two coworkers making out, and I was proud of her for the attempt, she almost looked like she was happy about this.

"I will just say!" Pippi said, holding a single finger high. "That it was a very intense kiss that we shared. But that I...was potentially..." She coughed. "Holding back."

"You were holding back?" Alix asked. "Like in a hot way saving it for later or in a 'you don't deserve my full kissing power level' kind of way?"

"The hot way!" Pippi said. "I...um...would love to try that again."

I whistled. "Go Pips! How about you, Mahina?"

"A lady shouldn't kiss and tell," Mahina said. "But whatever. Vallie and I got just as hot and bothered as Pippi and Alix apparently did. Vallie did get kind of not-so-politely asked to leave after she got heated after we got the squirt gun treatment. But I loved the fire she showed and her burn it down attitude was, in my opinion, pretty radical. And I did get her number before all of that!"

We all clapped for that. With two potential romances, even just having two make out sessions made this maybe the most successful Brambler dating night I'd ever been to. Secretly it was the most successful for me with my little getaway with Evy, and I was just a wingman.

"Not trying to sound like I want this lovely day to be over, but how long does this go for, exactly?" Evy asked. "Have we already gotten to the big event part?"

"Well, we did have some big events," I winked, getting a playful kick from Evy in response. "But it usually goes lunch, then some Brambler people shill stuff for a bit, then a no holds barred speed dating finale, then a bit more shilling, then it's done!"

Sure enough, we were all summoned to the tables to be informed about a Brambler subscription plan that included a random camping item mailed per month, along with a Teensly Street focused streaming service that required their gaming system to run. I wasn't exactly sold on that and was more curious what Pippi, Mahina, and Alix would be doing for the big event of the day.
