Chapter 812: Chapter 812: Even Worse Than He Imagined
The secretary had already been waiting at the gate. Seeing him arrive, she smiled and said, "You must be Mr. Yang. The chairman asked me to pick you up. Just follow my car in."
Yang Cheng drove slowly behind her. He hadn’t expected the Gong Family’s villa to cover such a huge area—you actually had to drive from the gate to the main building.
He kept his speed low and swept his eyes around from time to time, secretly observing the Gong Family’s layout and security setup.
There were dozens of bodyguards in plain sight, and several cultivators hidden in the dark. It seemed the Gong Family’s foundations were much deeper than he’d imagined.
The secretary’s car stopped in front of the main building. After getting out, she said respectfully, "Mr. Yang, please follow me."
Yang Cheng nodded and followed the secretary inside, arriving at the Gong Family’s luxurious parlor.
At that moment Gong Jian was sitting on the sofa. When he saw Yang Cheng enter, he immediately stood up, a warm smile spreading over his face.
"Mr. Yang, welcome, welcome, please sit."
"Chairman Gong, you’re too polite."
Yang Cheng gave a faint smile and sat down with composure, while inwardly wondering what this old fox was really up to.
"Chenling Pharmaceutical has been in the limelight lately. It’s all thanks to you. To have such ability at your age is truly rare!"
Gong Jian made no effort to hide his appreciation. He genuinely thought Yang Cheng was outstanding; he hadn’t expected that good-for-nothing Yang Feng could actually have such a formidable son.
"You flatter me. My little bit of skill is nothing but showing off in front of an expert like you, just earning some small change."
After the two exchanged a few pleasantries, Gong Jian finally got to the point. "Mr. Yang, the reason I invited you today, besides discussing cooperation, is that there’s another matter I’d like to ask your help with."
"Please go ahead, Chairman Gong."
Yang Cheng lifted the teacup and took a light sip.
Gong Jian hesitated for a moment, then still opened his mouth. "My son Gong Yu’s health hasn’t been too good recently. I wanted to ask you to take a look at him."
"Young Master Gong? What’s wrong with him?"
Yang Cheng feigned ignorance, his face full of puzzlement.
"You haven’t seen the news that’s been all over Zhonghai lately?"
"I’ve been busy researching new products for the company, so I really haven’t been paying much attention. If you have something to say, just say it straight."
Yang Cheng was deliberately making him spell it out himself. It seemed that kid Gong Yu’s body was severely drained.
At this, Gong Jian sighed and briefly explained Gong Yu’s situation, along with the doctors’ diagnosis.
"Mr. Yang, I know your medical skills are superb. As long as you can cure my son’s illness, I’ll give you a generous reward, or whatever conditions you have, just name them."
After listening, Yang Cheng sneered inwardly, but on the surface he put on a grave expression. "From the sound of it, Young Master Gong’s condition is rather complicated. I need to examine his body first to determine whether it can be treated."
"Good, this way please."
Gong Jian stood up and personally led the way.
The two of them arrived at Gong Yu’s room. As they pushed the door open, a thick smell of smoke hit them in the face.
Gong Yu lay on the bed with a pale face, his spirits listless. All he could do was smoke to dispel the frustration in his heart. Beside him, Yan Lizhu and Gong Lin were staying by his side to comfort him.
When he saw Yang Cheng enter, hatred flashed in his eyes, and he ground his teeth as he said, "Yang Cheng, you actually dared to come. This whole mess must be your doing! You framed me, you were the one who found those old women to disgust me! Isn’t that right!"
Yang Cheng’s heart gave a little jolt, but his face didn’t show a trace of it. Instead he put on a helpless look.
"Young Master Gong, that’s not fair. I have no grudge against you, so why would I frame you? It’s not like I’ve got nothing better to do."
"Of course we have a grudge. That night at the bar, you fought me over Wang Rui. That’s when our feud started!"
Gong Yu glared and roared, wanting to vent all his anger on Yang Cheng.
"Now that’s pinning guilt on someone for nothing. That night at the bar you were the one bullying Wang Rui first. I only hit you after that. If anyone was looking for payback, it should’ve been you coming after me. Why would I go out of my way to provoke you again?"
"Stop quibbling! It was you! It had to be you!"
Gong Yu screamed hysterically, his eyes practically spitting fire.
In fact, he himself felt it probably wasn’t Yang Cheng, but he couldn’t find the mastermind behind the scenes, so he could only pin the blame on Yang Cheng. Only then could he feel a little better.
"Enough!"
Gong Jian barked angrily.
"Dad! He—"
"Gong Yu, do you still want to be cured? If you do, then shut up for me!"
Gong Jian’s gaze was cold enough to kill. Gong Yu shrank his neck in fright and unwillingly glared at Yang Cheng.
"Honey, why are you shouting like that? You scared our son."
Yan Lizhu spoke unhappily, and when she looked up she also glared at Yang Cheng. She hadn’t forgotten the argument she’d had with this brat at the hospital. If it weren’t for her son’s illness now, she’d never allow this bumpkin to step foot into the Gong Family.
Off to the side, Gong Lin saw Yang Cheng and gave him a slight smile.
Yang Cheng nodded in return. He guessed she must be the Gong Family’s eldest daughter, and hadn’t expected her to look like a heavenly fairy, completely different from that ugly freak Gong Yu.
"Mr. Yang, my son was out of line. Please don’t take offense."
Gong Jian took a deep breath, his tone much gentler.
"It’s fine. Young Master Gong’s health is poor, so it’s normal for him to be irritable."
"Mr. Yang, please examine Xiaoyu first."
Gong Jian made a gesture of invitation.
Yang Cheng went straight to the bedside and sat down on the chair, reaching out to take Gong Yu’s pulse.
He put on an act of examining for a while, then used his X-ray Vision to check Gong Yu’s physical condition. His heart instantly burst with delight.
This Gong Yu’s body was even worse than he’d imagined. Looked like those women hadn’t gone easy on him—they’d practically played him into being a cripple.
His kidney qi was depleted, his vital essence and blood both deficient, and his reproductive organs severely damaged. In future, let alone having children, even a normal sex life would be difficult.
Moreover, this kind of damage was irreversible, so of course those doctors were completely helpless. But he actually did have a way.
Because he had a Pure Yang Body, his blood could restore Gong Yu. Combined with a few potent kidney-tonifying, yang-boosting herbs, it shouldn’t take more than half a month for a full recovery. But he’d rather feed his blood to a dog than use it on Gong Yu.
After a moment of silence, Yang Cheng withdrew his hand and said gravely, "Young Master Gong’s body is indeed very weak and needs careful conditioning."
Hearing this, Gong Jian’s eyes lit up at once, thinking there was hope. He asked urgently, "Can you cure him?"
Yang Cheng spoke with some hesitation. "He can be cured, but it will take a long time, and a lot of precious medicinal herbs will be needed."
"Whatever herbs you need, just say the word. Money is no issue."
Gong Jian said hurriedly.
Even Gong Yu at the side grew excited. He stared fixedly at Yang Cheng. If this guy could really cure him, then their previous grudges could be written off. But if he couldn’t, then he’d kill Yang Cheng to vent his hatred.
"Yang Cheng, hurry up and treat me! I don’t want to be a cripple."
Yang Cheng glanced at Gong Yu, then turned to Gong Jian and said, "Mr. Yang, could we talk alone for a moment?"
