S-Rank Harem: I Became My Character with Extra Control Skill
Chapter 280: Something Better Than The Darkness Element?"It is not fair to be treated as if I were simply someone else's luggage," complained Roxy's unmistakable voice, completely breaking the tension that had formed in the throne room.
The voluptuous demon thrashed awkwardly in the air, kicking her legs in frustration while still being held firmly by Janina's right hand.
"The small darkness dragoness held her by the thick collar of her clothes without making the slightest physical effort, keeping the enormous prisoner several centimeters off the ground, unable to touch the ground with the tips of her boots."
"Oh, look who decided to join the party. It is Roky," Karol said with a wide smile, taking a couple of steps closer and using a clearly mocking tone to annoy the captive demon.
"My name is Roxy, damn it!" the busty demon yelled, waving her arms uselessly in the blue-haired mage's direction.
"Oh, it is Janina," one of the Infernal-rank twins said, approaching immediately upon noticing the dragoness's presence.
"Hey, were you able to fight or at least see your sister over there?" the other twin asked with evident curiosity, peeking over his brother's shoulder to look at the newcomer.
"No, she had no reason to be in that place during my mission," Janina replied with a carefree tone, slightly swinging Roxy's body as if she were a simple shopping bag.
"Janina, what the hell are you supposed to be doing here?" Ophelia's authoritative voice intervened, crossing her arms and fixing a freezing glare on her subordinate. "I was very clear with my orders. I told you to go guard Kainon immediately."
Janina remained completely silent for a moment, feigning innocence while noticing how absolutely every gaze in the immense room was fixed on her.
Ryan observed the scene from his spot, keeping his cold green eyes fixed on the newcomer.
'Janina, huh,' Ryan thought, analyzing her relaxed posture. 'She still has a very high power level. But unlike our previous encounter, this time I could clearly notice the exact moment she arrived.'
Ryan slightly shifted his gaze to his right, observing Helen's profile, who, upon noticing his gaze, directed a smile at him.
'I wonder, if they had a fight right now, which of the two would be stronger and faster,' the tactical leader evaluated in his mind, measuring the two women.
The rest of his group also analyzed the new intruder with different levels of astonishment and hostility.
"So that is the famous darkness dragon they talked so much about?" Karol asked, evaluating the invisible flow of mana surrounding the pink-haired girl.
"It is the first time I have seen her in person," Irina, the elven princess, commented, keeping a safe distance and feeling a shiver run down her back upon perceiving the dragoness's lethality.
"She looks much more powerful than Ivis," Helen evaluated with a savage smile, tightening the grip on her weapon. "Honestly, I would like to face her in a real fight to test my new rank."
"Shh, you do not have to say that out loud," Mirian scolded her, giving the swordswoman a gentle nudge in the ribs so she would not start an unnecessary fight in the middle of an alliance.
"Tsk, what a fuss they make over everything," Lise, the wind dragoness, murmured, rolling her heterochromatic eyes and looking away from the noisy group of humans.
"My, could you do me the favor of stopping staring at me so much?" Janina said, bringing her free hand to her cheek with a falsely shy expression. "You are looking at me with so much intensity that you will make me blush."
"Stop playing around once and for all, Janina," Ophelia ordered, losing the little patience she had left after the battle. "You must leave immediately."
"I know that perfectly well, lady Ophelia," Janina replied, changing her tone to a more serious one. "But it was important that I came here to get this woman. She is the main guardian of the tower of Armenes." Janina added, lifting the demon's heavy body in her hand without any difficulty to show her off like a trophy.
"Lady Ophelia... please, do not allow them to treat me like this in front of everyone..." Roxy grumbled, with thick tears of humiliation welling up in the corners of her eyes as she looked pleadingly at the queen.
Ophelia looked at her for a single second, evaluating the situation with pure coldness and demonic pragmatism. Then, she simply looked away, losing all interest in the prisoner's well-being.
"Yes, you are very right. It is best that you take her with you," Ophelia declared, giving her approval.
"But lady Ophelia, you cannot abandon me like this!" Roxy kicked harder in her place, floating in the air and crying loudly while Janina held her with a sadistic smile.
A few meters away from the commotion, a slight groan echoed behind one of the thick columns in the hall.
Chloe, the holy knight, had just woken up from her deep faint. The girl blinked a couple of times, rubbing her eyes to try to focus her vision in the hall.
But upon lifting her head and processing the image in front of her, realizing that there were now two powerful calamity-grade dragonesses added to the demon queen and the human assassins, her brain simply could not handle the excess of terror.
Chloe let out a small, sharp gasp and fainted again instantly, falling flat on her back against the freezing floor.
Faced with the unusual but strangely familiar chaotic situation unfolding in front of him, Ryan could not help but let out a small sigh of resignation. He relaxed his shoulders and smiled slightly.
Even in the middle of the destroyed castle of the most dangerous enemy in the world, his peculiar group always found a way to act with absurd normality.
"What is wrong, Your Majesty?" Alicia asked, slowly approaching his side upon noticing the change in his usual expression. The girl's wolf ears twitched with curiosity.
"It is nothing to worry about," he said, turning his face to give Alicia a slight, sincere smile, internally thankful for his squad's presence.
Seeing him smile so warmly and directly at her, Alicia's face immediately flushed. She quickly lowered her head and looked away at the floor, playing nervously with her fingers.
"Well, since I fulfilled my duty, I am leaving for the borders now, lady Ophelia," Janina said, adjusting her strong grip on Roxy's dark clothes so she would not drop her during the trip.
The darkness dragoness began to envelop herself in a dense cloud of shadows, ready to leave for the distant city.
"Wait a moment!" both twins said in unison.
Without asking for any kind of permission, the two Infernal-rank demons jumped with immense agility and clung tightly to Janina's back and shoulders, holding onto her.
"We also have to go report to our squad in Kainon, right, lady Ophelia?" the twins asked from the dragoness's back.
"Yes, go at once and do not get in the way here anymore," Ophelia ordered with a wave of her hand.
"As you command, my queen," Janina said, ignoring the extra weight on her back.
In a dark blink and without making the slightest noise, Janina, Roxy, and the two twins completely disappeared from the throne room, leaving only a faint smell of ozone in the cold air.
The hall returned to a relative silence after the noisy group's departure.
Cough, cough.
Ivis, the water dragoness, faked a very brief but loud cough, clearing her throat to focus all the attention in the room back onto herself.
The interruption successfully prevented another unnecessary argument from breaking out.
"Returning to our main topic, which is much more important," Ivis said with total naturalness, taking a step forward. "Lise, do you see it clearly now?" Ivis asked.
'See what?' Ryan asked himself, crossing his arms and observing the dragoness in front of him, waiting patiently for her answer.
Lise did not answer immediately. She kept her eyes fixed, the silver and light blue of her eyes staring directly at Ryan's human body.
The dragoness's gaze slowly scanned Ryan's chest, arms, and face. Her pupils dilated, her cheeks flushed slightly, and her breathing became heavy.
"Yes, I definitely see it," Lise said with a trembling voice, taking an involuntary step toward him. "It is much more overwhelming and impressive than you mentioned, Ivis."
Lise hugged her own body, pressing her arms against her chest and showing an evident and disturbing expression of lust that completely bewildered all the girls in the squad.
"I do not think there will be any problem with this unusual agreement..." Lise murmured, licking her lips while looking directly at Ryan as if he were the most exquisite prey in the world.
"In fact, I am restraining myself with all my might not to jump on him right now. I did not think there was anything as immensely appetizing as the manifestation of darkness, but no... the energy this human emits is even better."
