"Alright, that is more than enough." Beatrice's voice echoed throughout the silent throne room with an unusually sharp tone of annoyance that was not at all typical of her calm personality.

And in the blink of an eye, breaking the magical tension of the moment, two silhouettes violently stepped in. In a sudden flash of pure darkness and a trail of blue light, Beatrice and Helen appeared right between Lise and Ryan.

Physically separating them before the dragoness could get a single centimeter closer to their leader.

Beatrice firmly pushed Ryan back, while Helen roughly pushed Lise by the shoulders, forcing her to retreat.

"It is great that you finally have a dragon as an ally, but this woman is a huge pervert." Beatrice said, looking at Ryan over her shoulder with a frown of clear disapproval.

Helen, after pushing aside the imposing wind and ice dragoness without showing a single drop of fear, raised her finger, pointing at her.

"You had better control yourself right this instant, lizard," Helen threatened with a murderous glare. "You will not step over any of us. Know your place, you are just a simple newcomer."

"Newcomer..." Lise murmured, clenching her fists so hard her knuckles turned white. The dragoness glared at the human with her two-toned eyes, feeling her mythical pride being trampled by a mortal.

But Helen was not done handing out warnings. After marking her territory with Lise, the swordswoman turned her body and pointed directly at Ophelia with her index finger, not caring at all about the woman's status.

"And you, horned woman, you also look at Ryan exactly that same way," Helen accused with total shamelessness, raising her voice in the middle of the hall. "I do not like your attitude at all. You had better not get any weird ideas with him."

Helen's harsh and direct words struck directly at the core of the demon queen's immense ego.

Being pointed at and threatened by a simple human was a capital insult. Ophelia's beautiful red eyes almost immediately turned much darker and deeper.

She suddenly elevated her murderous aura, releasing a magical pressure so overwhelming that it made the rubble around her tremble.

Ivis, sensing the immense danger of the queen's wrath, slowly took a couple of steps back, just like the rest of the heroines in the room, out of pure survival instinct.

'And here we go again. We just massacred a demon king five minutes ago, can they really not calm down for even a single moment?' Ryan thought, rubbing the bridge of his nose at the uncomfortable and explosive situation forming within his own faction.

He let out a long, heavy sigh, gathering his own authority.

"Enough," Ryan ordered aloud.

The single word echoed through the hall with unmistakable authority. "There are still many things I want and need to know about this pact, so stop this childish nonsense once and for all," he said in a deep, cold, and commanding voice that brooked no argument from anyone.

Everyone fell silent instantly. Even Ophelia herself obeyed the order to stop as if she were just another subordinate, immediately retracting her dark aura.

But a second later, the demon queen looked at herself with total bewilderment, blinking a couple of times, as if not understanding why she was partaking in such a shameful and childish situation with mere mortals.

"What exactly will happen now?" Ryan asked, breaking the silence and focusing his gaze on his new acquisition. "I mean, what is it supposed to mean in practical terms to have a contract with a dragon?"

"I will gladly explain it to you, beloved master," Lise said immediately, recovering her composure and her intoxicating smile, completely ignoring the girls' hostility.

"Tsk. I hate this woman," Helen commented in a low voice, crossing her arms and clicking her tongue.

"Hey, do not say such ugly things, she is supposed to be our ally now," Irina commented, trying to appease the atmosphere from the rearguard.

"Ally? Of course I am not. Do not get confused, elf," Lise said, turning her face toward them and sticking her tongue out at Helen in an immature manner. "I will solely and exclusively serve my master."

"I will kill her, I swear I will kill her right here," Helen murmured, gritting her teeth and boiling with pure rage.

"Yes, yes, whatever. Just answer my question," Ryan interrupted, demanding the information.

"I am so very sorry, beloved master," Lise apologized with a small bow. "It is actually not complicated to understand at all. Now, with our bond, we will be able to communicate perfectly even while being very far away from each other."

'Telepathy.' Ryan thought.

"That is exactly right, beloved master," Lise replied aloud, reacting to his private thought with a smile.

Ryan widened his eyes slightly in surprise. "I understand now. You do not need any kind of permission to hear my inner thoughts."

"That is right, master. Our minds are now connected," Lise confirmed, taking a step closer. "But not only that. I will passively feed off your wonderful, delicious, and exquisite dark energy. And in exchange for that privilege, as time passes, you will be able to assimilate and master all my elemental skills. And not only that, you will have me at your total disposal for everything... absolutely everything you need, day or night," she said, hugging herself and rubbing her thighs with a clear hidden intention.

'She certainly seems to be a hopeless pervert. But more importantly, ever since I learned of the existence of dragons in this world, I always wanted to have one of my own. This is really great.' Ryan stared at her, calculating his new military power. 'Although, honestly, a dragon woman with attitude problems is not exactly what I had in mind when I imagined this.'

"But wait a minute, she deliberately cut the ancient contract incantation short. What will happen with that?" Karol suddenly asked.

"Ah, that is right, she did not finish the sentence," the rest of the girls said almost in unison, recalling the strange interruption.

And while Lise remained lost in her own strange, lustful thoughts looking at Ryan's neck, Ivis approached the group to act as a translator for her race.

"The verbal incantation used for a dragon's loyalty contract is exactly that: a binding agreement." Ivis explained with total calm. "I mean, every word uttered in that chant represents the limits of the contract, the rules of coexistence, and an agreement of respect between both parties. But since she only uttered the first opening words and cut the rest, what she just made is a blank contract."

"Blank? And what the hell does that mean for me?" Ryan asked immediately, fearing some hidden trap.

Ivis scratched the back of her neck, looking at Lise with a mixture of pity and astonishment.

"Well, that just means that..."

"That I am completely at your absolute disposal, beloved master," Lise intervened, cutting her companion off and looking at Ryan with adoration.

Lise brought a hand to her chest. "I cannot demand absolutely anything from you, nor take anything from your life. I have no right to anything—not even freedom or rest—and my magical reward will only be granted whenever you wish. I am just a tool for you from now on," Lise added with a sincere smile.

"And why would you do something so extreme? I am just a human," Ryan questioned, unable to understand the illogical decision of such a proud mythological being.

"Master, we true dragons see far beyond such earthly titles." Lise explained, bringing her face closer. "I do not care at all whether you are a fragile human, an elf, or a demon. As long as you have that immensely delicious energy flowing through your soul, I will be yours." She licked her lips once again.

Beatrice, who had been analyzing the whole conversation in silence, took a step forward, intervening slightly.

"Does that mean, under your own logic, that if he loses that mysterious energy that attracts you so much, or if someone more powerful appears, you will betray him behind his back?" the demon assassin questioned with a lethal tone.
