S-Rank Harem: I Became My Character with Extra Control Skill
Chapter 306: Expansion"You don't seem surprised. Did you perhaps expect to meet me?" the woman in front of him asked, a hint of surprise in her voice.
She kept her hands crossed in front of her body, waiting to see an expression of fear, confusion, or doubt appear on Ryan's face after being suddenly dragged into that strange place.
Ryan did not answer her question immediately. He remained in complete silence, without showing any emotion that she could interpret in his favor. He looked her up and down very slowly, analyzing every aspect of her appearance in that white and empty space where everything seemed to float.
Her appearance remained exactly the same as the last time they met.
She had very long red hair falling softly down her back. She maintained a calm gaze and an extremely peaceful, almost celestial posture. It was exactly the same appearance as Pricilla, the young human who bears the title of saint within the church.
"Are you seriously going to keep presenting yourself before me in that form?" Ryan asked aloud. He frowned in annoyance, making it clear that the visual trick did not work on him and that he simply found it irritating to look at.
"What is it? Do you perhaps not like my appearance? Don't you think I'm a beautiful woman?"
She said in an elegant, gentle tone. Udriela moved her long red hair slightly, trying to use that delicate and harmless image to control the pace of the conversation in her favor.
"Better tell me once and for all what you intend to do. Or do you just plan to play games? If so, I'll leave." Ryan answered in a direct, sharp tone. He had no time to waste on useless mind games with entities that hid behind human faces.
"Huh? And you think you can just leave like that?"
Udriela questioned in a very defiant manner.
She raised her chin slightly, feeling superior and completely certain that Ryan was nothing more than a prisoner trapped in that glowing place.
Ryan took two steps forward through the empty space.
He did not feel the floor under his boots the same way as in the real world. There was no sound of footsteps or friction against the ground. He raised his right hand slightly, moving his fingers in space. Ryan was trying to feel the air that simply did not exist in that immense white room.
Then he looked at her with the same defiance she had shown him.
"You know? I hadn't completely understood it when I saw you in this place the first time, but..."
Ryan said in a very calm voice.
He cut his words intentionally to see the woman's reaction. Ryan extended his right hand forward and brought his thumb and middle finger together, as if he were about to snap them in the air.
"But what?"
Udriela asked.
She frowned upon seeing that movement of his hand. Udriela now looked at him very cautiously, losing a bit of her superior attitude by not understanding what he planned to do.
With the immense confidence of someone who knew himself perfectly, Ryan smiled at her with a malicious grin.
"You have no control over this place."
SNAP.
Ryan snapped his fingers right in front of her. The sound resonated throughout the white space abruptly and unnaturally, breaking the rules of the place and shattering the visual deception she maintained.
"So that is your true appearance. What are you really?"
Ryan asked immediately.
He lowered his hand after forcing the illusion to disappear, staring fixedly at the new face of the entity in front of him.
"How dare you..."
Udriela exclaimed, her voice filled with anger.
Ryan's loud snap revealed her true form instantly, completely leaving behind the false appearance of Pricilla.
A female silhouette appeared before Ryan, clearly distinct from that of a human.
This new form was much taller, easily surpassing average height.
She had a much darker skin tone, resembling the color of the night sky.
And very long ash-gray hair that floated slightly around her without the need for wind.
In the center of her eyes, the change was even more noticeable. Instead of normal, round pupils, her eyes contained pupils shaped like four-pointed stars.
Those strange eyes glowed, their colors constantly shifting between black, gold, and green in a hypnotic and otherworldly display.
"You really are not a deity, am I right?"
Ryan asked again.
He observed her closely, remaining as calm as someone who believed himself to be the true owner of the place and had the entire situation under control.
Udriela's calm and confident look had completely disappeared when her true physical form was revealed without her consent. She clenched her fists tightly. Udriela just looked at Ryan as if she wanted to tear him to pieces right there for the great humiliation she had just suffered in front of a simple human.
The place fell into a total and very heavy silence. Ryan waited patiently for her to assimilate what had just happened. After exactly ten long seconds of silence, she finally managed to control her anger and spoke.
"It seems you have matured more than any of us could have imagined."
Udriela answered in a low tone.
She was struggling to regain the composure she had lost because of Ryan's actions.
"Now you must know something. Keeper's eyes are on you, Ryan. Now you will be considered a maximum priority threat."
Udriela added.
She changed her expression quickly upon saying that. Udriela spoke as if she had just delivered a terrible warning over which she had complete control. She fixed her strange, star-shaped eyes on Ryan with even greater intensity. Udriela was trying to detect any sign of fear or doubt in his expression.
But facing that great direct threat, Ryan did not respond immediately. He looked her in the eyes and calmly processed the information for a few seconds.
And after evaluating everything, he could only smile openly.
"I understand it now."
Ryan said with total tranquility and continued.
"You thought that, now that I have killed Rigal, you could make me lose my composure by making me believe you can keep me under surveillance at all times. You wanted to make me believe you can summon me here whenever you please, isn't that right? But you can't actually do that, right?"
Ryan said.
He completely disarmed the dark-skinned woman's attempt at psychological manipulation. Ryan extended his right hand again and brought his fingers together, preparing to snap his fingers once more and leave.
He looked at her intensely, making it clear that he was the one who decided when this conversation ended.
"Wait, I am not finished yet."
Udriela exclaimed desperately when she saw his raised hand.
She tried to stop him with her voice, wanting to regain control of the conversation.
But Ryan did not listen to her and simply continued speaking.
"Your useless actions cannot affect me in any way. Unfortunately for you, you won't be able to summon me here again."
"Are you really so sure about that, Ryan?" she asked, frowning with evident annoyance as she approached him.
Ryan sighed and looked her right in the eyes.
"I already told you before, didn't I? You have no kind of control here. Goodbye, little deity."
Ryan finished in a cold, confident voice, bidding farewell to the entity that had tried and failed to manipulate him.
SNAP.
He snapped his fingers forcefully again.
"Wait!"
Udriela yelled at the same time as Ryan's snap sounded.
Her voice echoed through the nothingness, but it was already too late to stop him. Ryan had decided to break the link.
Once again, the environment changed in an instant.
The white and empty space disappeared completely from Ryan's sight. The cold air and the smells of nature returned to his senses. Now he was exactly where he should have been when he first crossed the dungeon's magic portal.
"Young master, do you really sustain this place just with your mana?"
Lise commented with a somewhat restless tone of voice.
The dragon looked around, turning her head in every direction. It was hard for Lise to comprehend the amount of magical energy required to maintain such a vast space, full of life yet hidden from the outside world.
"R-Ryan... this place has changed a lot."
Irina commented with a very tense voice full of surprise.
The elven princess was standing next to him, totally speechless. She recognized the sky and the climate of her home, but the scale of the entire terrain was wrong.
Ryan's eyes widened as he looked over his territory. The landscape stretched far beyond what he remembered leaving behind before going to war.
'What the hell.' Ryan thought to himself, feeling a profound astonishment.
'This place has expanded to at least twenty times its previous size!'
Ryan looked toward the distant horizon. The flatlands, vast forests, and rivers stretched as far as his eyes could see.
