Sacrificed To The Triplet Alpha Kings
Chapter 286: You Need To Get Off Me. Right NowSera was quiet for a moment, then leaned forward. "Can I tell you something?" she asked.
Lilith nodded.
"Bonds are about choice," Sera said. "Even fated mate bonds. Even when destiny or the Moon Goddess or whatever you want to call it puts two people together, they still have to choose each other every single day. The bond doesn’t take away your agency. It doesn’t make you less yourself. It just connects you to someone else."
"But the incomplete bond hurts him." Lilith said looking frustrated.
"Yes. But that’s not why you should complete it. You should complete it because YOU want it. Because YOU choose him. Not because you feel guilty or pressured or obligated." Sera’s eyes were steady on hers. "Do you want Alpha Sebastian, Lilith? Forget about the bond and the pain and everything else. Do you want him?"
Lilith thought about Sebastian in the woods, chasing her down and catching her and claiming her with desperate intensity. She thought about him in his room telling her stories about his childhood and holding her while she fell asleep. She thought about him sitting beside her bed for hours waiting for her to wake up, exhausted and terrified and refusing to leave.
"Yes," she whispered. "I want him."
"Then tell him that. And let him complete the bond. Not because he’s suffering. But because you choose him."
Lilith felt something shift inside her chest, something that felt almost like clarity.
"What if I’m not ready?" she asked, looking at Sera.
"You’ll never feel completely ready for something this big," Sera said gently. "But that doesn’t mean you’re not capable of choosing it anyway."
They sat in silence for a while, and Lilith felt some of the weight lift from her shoulders. Not all of it. But enough.
"Thank you," she said quietly.
Sera smiled. "That’s what friends are for."
***
Lilith stood outside Sebastian’s bedroom door at two in the morning with her heart pounding so hard she thought it might break through her ribs.
She had tried to sleep. Had laid in her bed for hours staring at the ceiling while the incomplete bond pulled at her chest with relentless insistence, a constant ache that would not let her rest. Three days of this. Three days of feeling Sebastian on the other end of the bond....awake, restless, suffering and knowing she was the reason why.
She could not do it anymore.
Could not lie in her bed one more night feeling the incomplete thing between them screaming to be finished.
So she had gotten up, pulled on her robe over her nightgown, and walked down the dark hallway to his room before she could talk herself out of it.
Now she was here. Standing in front of his door. And she had no idea what she was going to say when he opened it.
I want you to complete the bond.
I choose you.
I can’t live with this incomplete thing between us for one more second.
All of it felt inadequate. Too small for what she was actually feeling.
Lilith raised her hand and knocked softly.
No answer.
She knocked again, a little louder this time.
Still nothing.
She hesitated for a moment, then reached for the handle and turned it slowly. The door was unlocked and it opened silently on well-oiled hinges.
Sebastian’s room was dark except for the moonlight streaming through the windows, casting everything in shades of silver and shadow. And there in the center of it all was Sebastian, lying on top of the covers on his bed, one arm thrown over his eyes and the other resting on his bare chest.
He was shirtless, wearing only loose dark pants that sat low on his hips, and even from the doorway Lilith could see the tension in his body. His jaw was clenched tight even in sleep, his breathing uneven.
He was not resting. He was enduring.
Lilith stepped into the room and closed the door quietly behind her, her eyes never leaving him. The incomplete bond flared sharply the moment she was in the same space as him, and she pressed her hand to her chest trying to breathe through it.
She had come here to talk to him. To tell him she was ready to complete the bond. To ask him when they could do it.
But looking at him now, laid out on the bed like an offering, every line of his body taut with barely restrained tension, the moonlight catching on the planes of his chest and stomach.....something shifted inside her.
She did not want to talk.
She did not want to wait.
She wanted him. Right now. Right here.
Lilith’s hands went to the tie of her robe and she undid it slowly, letting the fabric fall open. Then she shrugged it off her shoulders and let it pool at her feet. Her nightgown followed, the thin material sliding down her body and joining the robe on the floor.
She was naked now. Completely bare.
She walked to the bed and climbed onto it carefully, her knees sinking into the mattress on either side of Sebastian’s hips. She straddled him slowly, settling her weight on top of him, and the moment her bare skin made contact with his the incomplete bond FLARED.
Sebastian’s eyes snapped open.
For one heartbeat he just stared up at her in shock, his eyes still hazy with sleep. Then they focused and went solid gold in an instant.
"Lilith," he said, and his voice was rough and dangerous. "What the fuck are you doing?"
His hands went to her hips automatically....hard, possessive, his fingers digging into her skin hard enough to bruise. And beneath her she felt him, already hard and pressing against her through the thin fabric of his pants.
"I want to complete the bond," she said, and her voice was steadier than she felt. "Now. Tonight."
Sebastian’s grip on her hips tightened and she felt him trying to control his breathing. "You need to get off me. Right now."
