Chapter 1251: Chapter 1251: Midnight Visitor

Just five minutes after she fell asleep, there was a knock on the door at the hotel she was staying at.

Summer Sutton had randomly booked this hotel; few rooms were available, and once all the rooms are booked, the main gate would be closed at night.

Summer assumed it was a guest from another room returning late without a key and didn’t pay it any mind.

Trying to go back to sleep, she suddenly heard a "bang" from downstairs.

The sharp sound pierced through the night, making it particularly clear in the darkness.

It sounded like gunfire.

When Summer Sutton first met Manuel Ink, she had experienced intense gunfights, so the sound was not unfamiliar.

Her closed eyes suddenly opened, her gaze drifting toward the direction of the door, unsure of what was happening.

In her confusion, the door was banged open, and Manuel Ink rushed in.

Sweeping his eyes over her face, Manuel Ink said nothing and pulled her toward the window without hesitation.

"I’ll go down first, I’ll catch you below, don’t be afraid!" His reaction was swift, and he nimbly jumped out the window.

Summer Sutton’s room was on the second floor, not high, jumping down might only sprain the ankle at most.

Summer had no clue what was happening, but she always knew Manuel Ink’s identity was somewhat special.

Summer vaguely guessed that aside from being the President of Royal Delight, Manuel Ink likely had another identity, one that could bring him a lot of danger.

She didn’t ask him what was going on; after Manuel Ink jumped down, Summer stood at the window without a moment’s hesitation, and jumped down towards Manuel Ink, who was reaching out to her from the ground.

Manuel Ink effortlessly caught her small physique, placing her on the ground, and pulled her toward the back of the garden.

Gunfire rang out from behind, the direction of the shooting clearly aimed at where they were running.

Confused, Summer Sutton turned her head slightly to look back, wanting to see what was happening.

However, once she turned her face, she was shocked and instantly pale.

Somehow, the hotel was surrounded by many vehicles, and a large group of people were running towards her direction, shooting as they ran.

Summer quickly shielded her head, retracting her gaze, and continued to run with Manuel Ink.

Manuel Ink had come on this trip to protect Summer Sutton, bringing no subordinates.

Yet, there were at least fifty or sixty people chasing them, all armed.

Manuel Ink likely didn’t have a gun on him, otherwise he wouldn’t have been directly trying to evade this group with Summer Sutton.

Summer’s mind was filled with confusion, unaware of what conflict existed between this group and Manuel Ink, how their whereabouts were exposed, and how they could evade danger tonight.

With just him, how could he manage against so many?

Manuel Ink continued running with her, crossing the garden and onto the street, where they intercepted a passing car. Manuel Ink pushed Summer Sutton into the car.

The town in which they were located was surrounded by mountains, and the winding roads, though difficult to drive, were convenient for losing pursuers.

The people chasing them also seemed to have gotten into vehicles, continuing the pursuit.

Manuel Ink drove at high speed, navigating the winding mountain roads with precision, sprinting and leaping, taking countless sharp turns to successfully leave the group behind them out of sight, though the car couldn’t afford to stop yet.
