Chapter 1280: Chapter 1280: A Starry Sky for You

Summer Sutton was taken aback by his words, gazing at him with a bit of astonishment, as if she hadn’t expected him to be so straightforward.

He only admitted to his intentional behavior; the rest didn’t need explaining, and Summer Sutton understood.

Intentionally choosing the house furthest away so she would drive him back, intentionally creating more time for them to be together, intentionally making it so she couldn’t leave once she arrived, and even tonight’s banquet was all intentionally arranged by him.

After his words, Summer Sutton was dumbfounded for quite a while and tossed him a line, "You’re so boring."

She turned around, wanting to walk out of the villa area, but Watt Bennet’s voice came from behind, "There’s truly no car. You should have seen that on the way up."

There wasn’t a hint of deceit in his words; when they first came up, Summer Sutton drove him herself.

After taking that long uphill road, they hadn’t encountered any other cars.

On the mountain, everyone who lived there owned villas and drove luxury cars worth millions, and naturally, there wouldn’t be a bus stop in such a place.

If Summer Sutton wanted to get down the mountain tonight, she’d have to walk.

Her steps froze. After struggling for quite a while, she finally turned around and went into Watt Bennet’s villa.

"Support me," Watt Bennet’s lips curled ever so slightly as he leaned his body against hers again.

His actions were utterly shameless.

Even though Summer Sutton could clearly see that he wasn’t drunk at all, he pretended to be so drunk that he couldn’t walk steadily, sticking closely to Summer Sutton’s side.

Once they entered the living room, his body heavily fell onto the sofa, pulling Summer Sutton down with him.

Summer Sutton’s body landed on top of his.

The action made Summer Sutton somewhat annoyed.

"Adrian Walyon!" She lifted her face, glaring at him.

Watt Bennet pretended not to understand her words, and mockingly rubbed his temples with his fingertips, "Why does my head hurt so much? I really drank a bit too much tonight."

Summer Sutton couldn’t help but roll her eyes at him.

Struggling to get up from him, she walked around the villa, "Got anything for sobering up?"

She thought about it for a while, and regardless of whether his headache was real or not, it was better to sober him up a bit.

If he continued pretending, under the influence of alcohol, who knows what might happen between them.

"No," Watt Bennet replied to her with just two words.

Summer Sutton, "..."

"Got any milk?" Tongue-tied for a moment, Summer Sutton changed her question.

"There’s nothing in the fridge; I hardly ever come here," Watt Bennet replied, rubbing his forehead.

"Then why did you come tonight?" Summer Sutton retorted out of habit.

Watt Bennet slowly lifted his face, looked at her intently, and straightforwardly said, "Because of you!"

Summer Sutton fell silent for a long while after his words.

Forget it, no point in arguing with him.

Finding nothing else to do, Summer Sutton wandered a bit downstairs and then went to the garden.

The garden here was designed very beautifully, with many paths lined with Julia Owens flowers, along with lakes and fountains.

The terrace was built with flower walls, so beautiful it looked like a house from a fairy tale.

Standing on the terrace, Summer Sutton couldn’t help but lift her face to gaze at the night sky above.

The night here was truly beautiful, with a sky so clear you could never see in the city.

The stars appeared so close, as if reaching out a hand could touch the starry sky.

This was her first time here, and Watt Bennet hadn’t told her anything about this villa.

But just by gazing at the night sky here, Summer Sutton instantly understood the significance behind him buying this house.
