Chapter 1293: Chapter 1293: Disappearing Again
"Do you still like how this place looks now?" He lazily sat down on the sofa chair beside her and changed the topic.
"You don’t need to do this." Summer Sutton reminded him.
"I want to!" Watt Bennet replied coolly, giving her three abrupt words.
Summer Sutton was left speechless by his response.
If he wanted to, what else could she do?
"I’ve ordered food; it should be delivered soon. Call me if you work late in the future." Watt handed her a sentence and turned to the dining room to pour himself a glass of water.
The takeout was delivered half an hour later, Watt sat down to watch her eat, accompanying her until she finished her dinner, showing no signs of leaving.
At this late hour, given his stubbornness, Summer Sutton thought he would probably stay the night.
But then Watt stared at her for a few moments and suddenly asked, "Want me to stay?"
Summer Sutton was taken aback by his question, scoffed, "You’re overthinking."
"So you don’t want me to stay!" Watt sighed lightly, as if a bit regretful.
Summer Sutton truly didn’t want him to stay. They hadn’t reconciled yet; she hadn’t forgiven him. It wouldn’t be appropriate for him to stay here.
She thought Watt was just joking, but unexpectedly, at eleven thirty, when Summer Sutton was preparing for sleep, he really picked up his coat, seemingly ready to leave.
This behavior surprised Summer Sutton.
Summer Sutton turned her face to stare at him.
Watt was putting on his coat, noticed her gaze from the corner of his eye, and lightly curled his lips, "If you change your mind now, I can change my plans."
"Mr. Bennet should leave!" Summer Sutton rolled her eyes to remind him.
"It’s so cold outside, looks like it’s snowing." Watt observed her reaction and casually commented.
"You can turn on the heater in the car." Summer Sutton’s expression didn’t change a bit.
Watt shrugged helplessly and had no choice but to take his keys and leave.
He actually could have just stayed; he didn’t believe Summer Sutton would really force him out.
However, Watt didn’t want to do that now.
These days, he felt that sometimes giving each other a little time might be more effective than persistently pursuing.
Last time he let go, didn’t Summer come back on her own?
Thinking of this, his mood improved significantly.
The decisiveness in his action truly surprised Summer Sutton.
Even long after his departure, confirming he was truly gone, Summer Sutton was still a bit dazed.
Why is Watt acting like a completely different person now?
Not thinking too much about it, Summer Sutton washed up and went straight to sleep.
She had to go abroad the next day to film a show; this time the location was Vienna, and she’d have to be there for at least a week.
Summer Sutton was just starting to produce her own shows, and every single program was very important to her.
She was able to stay at Royal Delight because of Manuel Ink’s favor, and Summer Sutton didn’t want to let him down or give up on her dreams.
The next day, she woke up early, headed to the airport at six to meet the show staff, and flew to Vienna together.
Her departure abroad was sudden, and she didn’t even mention it to Watt.
In the days following Summer Sutton’s departure, Watt showed up at her apartment every evening.
Originally wanting to see her, but unexpectedly, he waited fruitlessly every day.
Not returning home was one thing, not even a heads-up was another. Such behavior from Summer Sutton made Watt’s heart skip a beat, accidentally making him overthink.
Was it because he had been invading her space too often and she changed locations to avoid him?
