Chapter 1312: Chapter 1312: Winning Her Over
The familiar voice made Manuel Ink pause for a moment, then his face slowly turned sideways.
Watt Bennet walked over from the direction of his car, stopped beside the two, stood next to Summer Sutton, and without looking at Manuel Ink, grabbed Summer’s hand and pulled her towards his car, saying, "Baby, what do you want to eat tonight?"
He deliberately called her intimately, and Summer was one hundred percent sure that this form of address was meant for Manuel Ink to hear.
Summer actually understood his intentions but didn’t expose them.
She turned her face sideways to look at Manuel Ink, who was stiffly standing in place, and said goodbye to him, "Sunshine, I’m leaving now."
Just that one sentence, nothing more, but in Watt Bennet’s eyes, it was full of jealousy.
Going home is going home, why say so much?
No matter, he directly dragged Summer into the car.
Without staying at the scene any longer, the black sports car roared away into the distance, leaving behind a cloud of dust.
Manuel Ink watched their car disappear, lost in thought for a while, only to come back to reality when the Old Master’s voice sounded.
"Watching the woman you like leave with another man, can you just bear it?" Old Master Ink sat in the backseat of a black Rolls-Royce, the window open, deliberately lowering his reading glasses while looking at him.
He didn’t know how long he’d been there, but Manuel Ink hadn’t noticed.
"Grandpa meddles too much." Manuel Ink casually said to the old man, opening the car door and getting in.
"If the woman I liked becomes another man’s, I’d definitely tear that man apart and bring my woman back to claim her for myself!" The Old Master turned his face slightly, giving his opinion with a side glance.
Manuel Ink’s face remained expressionless, he just replied coolly, "No wonder many people say Grandpa is a bandit."
"What’s wrong with being a bandit?" The Old Master snorted, unimpressed by his words, "Being able to do what you want and own what you desire, what’s wrong with being a bandit? Isn’t being happy the main thing?"
"Grandpa is not me." To these words, Manuel Ink responded with a gentle smile, a faint expression that the Old Master couldn’t decipher.
The Old Master suddenly felt his grandson was becoming increasingly difficult to understand.
All are Ink Family men, but why is there such a difference in their ways?
"Manuel Ink, I tell you, if you continue like this, you’ll be single for the rest of your life." The Old Master rubbed his chin, seriously warning him.
He had said this more than once, but Manuel Ink acted like he hadn’t heard, lowering his eyes as he busied himself with company matters on his phone.
The Old Master, feeling helpless, gave up repeating himself when he realized his words fell on deaf ears.
...
After Watt Bennet took Summer Sutton away, he didn’t head straight back to the apartment but found a restaurant to eat first.
Knowing Summer Sutton likes Chinese food, he took her to a Chinese restaurant.
The variety of food ordered was very rich, comparable to the meal Manuel Ink treated to last night, but as Summer started eating, her appetite was entirely different from the previous night.
She genuinely hadn’t had a proper meal in ages; she ate a lot during this one.
Solved all the dishes Watt Bennet ordered, her stomach was full, and after that, she ordered two desserts and juice.
Watt Bennet had never seen her eat so much before, and he sat beside her, watching her with some surprise.
Summer Sutton didn’t pay him any attention, sipping her juice with relish.
Perhaps this is the feeling of eating with different people!
