Chapter 1329: Reunion with an Old FriendChapter 1329: Chapter 1329: Reunion with an Old Friend
When they came out, Watt Bennet walked ahead, going to find a parking spot first.
Summer Sutton followed behind, moving slowly, adjusting her scarf as she walked.
She wrapped it around her neck again and again, seeing that Watt had already walked far ahead. Just as she was ready to jog and catch up, a voice suddenly called from behind, "Summer!"
The familiar voice made Summer Sutton pause, her footsteps came to a halt.
Turning her face slightly, her eyes stiffly rotated, catching sight of the person standing not far behind her, Summer felt a bit surprised.
Ryan Walyon stood a few meters away from her, first staring at her disheveled hairstyle, then his gaze turned to the store she had just exited.
The store Summer had just entered was a bridal shop, a private studio opened by a domestic top designer, showcasing only wedding gowns and dresses.
Ryan Walyon quietly stared at the pure white dresses inside for what felt like a long, long time, before awkwardly turning his gaze back to her, as if in disbelief.
Is she really planning to get married?
Until now, Ryan Walyon hadn’t seen her for a long time.
He knew she had gone abroad for a while and knew she had returned, knew they both lived in the same city, yet their encounters were very few and far between.
A rare chance meeting, Ryan didn’t expect that she would bring him such a shocking piece of news.
The snow outside was still falling, the flakes landing on her cheeks felt icy cold, making Summer feel a bit chilled.
It seemed Ryan Walyon couldn’t feel it, stuck in the shock of knowing that Summer and Watt were still going to get married, and hadn’t come back to his senses for quite a while.
In a world of pure white, he just looked at her like that, his eyes appearing somewhat hurt.
Not far away, Watt Bennet found the car, opened the door, initially got in, but upon seeing Summer not following for a long time, he backed out.
His gaze turned towards the direction where Summer stood, fixing on Ryan for a few seconds, and Watt’s expression darkened.
He seemed unwilling to let Summer and Ryan stay together even for a second, striding over to the two of them briskly.
"Summer!" he called out to Summer, taking a few steps to reach her, pulling her to leave, "I’m waiting for you!"
Summer turned her head to look at Ryan, "Then I’ll be going first!"
It was merely a polite farewell to Ryan, yet Watt seemed unwilling to allow even this, forcefully pulling her into his embrace, heading towards his car.
From start to finish, he had no intention of acknowledging Ryan at all.
The two of them looked nothing like brothers who were once the best of friends.
Summer followed beside Watt, feeling a bit puzzled about his behavior.
She could clearly feel that since Adrian Walyon had changed his identity to Watt, he became much colder to Ryan, but Summer didn’t understand why.
She thought it over and over, attributing the cause to herself.
After all, because of her, the two brothers had started to fall out earlier.
Without asking much, Summer quietly followed Watt to the car, bent down, and got in.
After she was seated, Watt started the car with a roar.
As the car passed by Ryan, Summer turned her head to look at him outside.
Ryan was also watching her, seemingly still unable to comprehend why Summer stubbornly insisted on marrying Watt, and looked at her with a determined gaze.
Summer and he briefly exchanged glances, then her eyes quickly avoided his.
