Thea smiled at his confidence, and the two continued talking about the bracket while they ate.
Students kept glancing over, but no one else approached the table after what had happened with Sophie’s group.

The rest of the school day passed in a blur of classes and quiet stares.
Teachers treated Kalon the same as always. Classmates whispered when they thought he could not hear. A few more people dared to try and start conversations in the hallways, but he gave short answers and kept moving.
By the final period, most of them had gotten the message.

When the last bell rang, he left campus without lingering. He walked straight back to the dormitory, climbed the stairs to his room, and closed the door behind him.
He dropped his bag, changed out of his uniform, and sat on the edge of the bed for a moment.
The tournament bracket stayed in his mind.
Facing the Fontaine siblings first would be straightforward. Richard and Ruby waiting further down the bracket only made him look forward to it more. And, of course, there was Sun and Moon on the other side.
Still, school and Earth problems could wait.
He stood up earlier than he normally would and left the room again.
Instead of waiting until full night, he headed for the rooftop while the sky was still shifting from late afternoon into evening.
Since he had reached gold rank, he had a strong feeling that something within his Space Seducer System would have changed.
He pushed open the rooftop door and stepped out into the cooler air. The academy grounds stretched out below him. He walked to his usual spot near the edge, looked up at the darkening sky, and focused.

Just recently, his system had scouted a fourth planet, but now it had found another already.
He scanned over the information.

Kalon stared at the new planet.
Delphinium.
A planet of collapsing sky islands. Threat Tier A+. Over one thousand highly seducible women. The top three targets all carried titles that suggested power and status.
Goddess Nut stood out to him particularly. He doubted that she was truly a goddess, but the title still carried much weight.
He already knew he could only choose three planets in a single day. The system had made the limit clear.
However, he was unaware that twenty-four hours had to pass before he could return to any planet he visited, since he had never tried to do otherwise. He always had a set time he would travel.
On top of that, with the new increase in available planets to travel to, Kalon’s decisions became even more important.
He had to think about choosing his three daily planets.
Venduros still needed attention because of the resistance and Josinia. Although the civil war was silent for the most part because of his existence, that could change. He also needed to focus on raising Josinia’s seduction to stage ten so that she could travel with him.
Cryos held unfinished business with Sifa and the newly formed relationship that he had with Governor Qyra... However, out of all the planets, he felt that his presence was least needed there.
Veylora was becoming important because of Nyphara and the Light Bringer title. He also needed to scout out what and who these Berry Pickers were.
Cupid remained a high-risk option he was not ready for. Or at least, not until he had a partner to travel with.
And now Delphinium had appeared with its own dangers and opportunities. Ones that were on par with Cupid itself.
Kalon exhaled slowly and looked over the list again.
He would have to decide carefully which three to prioritise each day.
For tonight, the first choice was already forming in his mind.
He would travel to Venduros and spend time with his first woman, Josinia.

"HEE-YAH!"
Kalon arrived to find himself standing somewhere peculiar.
He stood at the edge of a wide dirt training field behind a low stone building that looked like a small dojo.
Several resistance fighters in simple training clothes were gathered in a loose circle. In the centre,
Josinia faced another young Vendurion woman. Both were breathing hard.
Josinia’s hands glowed with a thin layer of water. She swept one arm forward, and a pressurized stream shot out, forcing her opponent to stumble back.
The other woman tried to close the distance, but Josinia stepped in and finished the exchange with a controlled burst that knocked the woman onto the dirt.
The short duel was over.
Josinia offered her opponent a hand up. Only then did the group notice the newcomer standing at the edge of the field.
Every head turned.
Recognition spread across their faces at once.
These were resistance fighters who had heard every detail of the duel with Glorian. Some had even been in the crowd that day.
The human who had taken the commander’s leg and walked away was suddenly standing in their training ground.
One by one, they straightened and bowed, the motion sharp and respectful, the way students might greet a sensei.
Josinia’s pink eyes widened when she saw him. A bright smile broke across her glossy purple face.
"Kalon!"
