Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure

Chapter 2419: Hidden floor (40)

Seeing that none of the ruling class had any special techniques, I focused on the auras that came from them.

With how distracted they were, it wasn’t as if they had any mind to pay attention to me. Not to mention that they weren’t able to see me in the first place, so it wasn’t as if they would have been able to do anything to me.

With this, I was able to reach my first target.

After reaching that first target, I didn’t actually kill it with a single blow.

I was watching it as it released its attacks on the animals that surrounded it.

Since it was stronger, I was hoping that this higher concentration would give a chance to sense the energy that it used. But no matter how I tried, I just wasn’t able to find a single trace of that energy.

It seemed like this energy truly wasn’t compatible with my race.

Whatever this energy was, it seemed to be exclusive to the inhabitants of this world.

But there was still a part of me that wanted to experience what it was like to be hit with this energy.

Which was why in the end, I used a technique that I didn’t think that I would be using in this place.

After using that technique, it was easy for me to slip into the crowd of animals that had surrounded these members of the ruling class. After all, it wasn’t as if I looked any different from the animals.

As far as they were concerned, I was one of these animals since I had transformed myself into them.

I wasn’t in a rush to move to the front of this crowd as I observed them fighting the animals. But even observing it from this close, I wasn’t able to figure out what that energy was.

So in the end, I made my way to the very front and charged at the members of the ruling class like the other animals did.

They didn’t find this strange at all as they dealt with me in the exact same way.

The moment that their attacks hit me, I allowed myself to be carried off by the force of the attack. Though unlike the other animals that had been hit, I wasn’t instantly killed by this attack.

"It’s like getting hit with a wall."

That was the best way to describe what the attacks of the ruling class felt like.

I had been expecting much more than this alone, but it didn’t seem like there would be more than this. There wasn’t even a secondary effect to the energy like being able to cause internal damage from contact.

No matter how I looked at it, this was the most basic form of energy.

Only why was it made so that other races couldn’t interact with it?

This seemed like it was something that would require a lot of effort, so it felt like it wasn’t something that was worth it. Whoever had created this setting for the energy would have had to spend quite a bit of effort to do something like this.

It all felt like wasted effort just for this.

"Is it because they want to make sure that their followers can only follow them?"

If that was the case, then how insecure was the god that these creatures followed?

But since this was the case, it seemed like I wasn’t able to learn anything else about this race and the energy that they used. In which case, there was only one thing that was left for me to do.

"What is happening?"

Even if I didn’t understand what they were saying to each other, it wasn’t hard to guess that this was what they were saying. After all, the way that they were panicking when one of their own suddenly fell down dead was more than enough to demonstrate this.

They weren’t able to see the small dagger that had just flown by and stabbed the one that died in the neck.

Though I didn’t know if stabbing it in the neck would kill it, it seemed like this was indeed a weak spot for these bipedal creatures.

As for why I didn’t aim for the head, it would have been too visible since it would have flown at the same height as their eyes. And for the heart, there was no telling if the heart was even in the same place.

The only clue that I had was that they were breathing, so I aimed for the thing that helped them breathe and it seemed like it worked.

At first, they were able to hold back the panic that was gripping at their hearts.

But in the end, they lost control of themselves once more of them fell.

These were creatures that had ruled at the top of the food chain for the longest time, so it wasn’t as if they had ever experienced being hunted by something before. When the situation was reversed like this, it was only natural that they would lose all control.

So in the end, the stronger ones even wanted to sacrifice the weaker ones to see if they could create an opening to escape. The weaker ones weren’t able to do anything since they couldn’t resist the pushing that came from their attacks.

But even so, it wasn’t as if I was going to give them an opening.

Slowly, I hunted them one by one until there was only the leader left.

There was no need for me to actually treat them like this, but it felt right in my heart to do so. Which was why I hunted them down one by one and made sure to imprint this fear in their hearts.

Once they were all gone, I didn’t waste any time on the leader.

Just a single knife was all that it took to bring down this leader and they turned into a pile of loot just like the others.

It almost felt like they didn’t deserve this area boss title.
