Signing-In: The Lazy Moon Goddess

A day passed and a new day had started.

The Moon Goddess had left the academy after preparing breakfast and lunch for everyone. She had been sent to the Pill Tower accompanied by the Immortal Sun Emperor. However, this time, Shen Jueyang didn’t accompany the Goddess of the Moon to her Alchemy class and instead headed to the gates and waited for the people of his empire to come over.

At the Pill Tower, Yue Xuexia was welcomed by the Pill Tower Master Han Siyu and the two grand elders, Su Kan and Li Houye. Everything at the Alchemy Hall had been prepared for the Moon Goddess’s use. She also noticed another old man that looks similar to Han Siyu and is most likely connected to the Pill Tower Master by blood.

"Welcome, Mistress! (Divine Doctress)!"

The Moon Goddess greets back, "Good morning!"

Her eyes lingered on the owner of the scrutinizing eyes that had landed on her. She looked around and met the eyes of the man that looks so much like the Pill Tower Master Han Siyu. Noticing her gaze, Pill Tower Master Han Siyu and the two grand elders introduce this person to their mistress.

Pill Tower Master Han Siyu said, "Mistress, this is my young brother, Han Siri. He is included in the list of the alchemists who will be with us in the Alchemy Battle three months from now. He is from the Han Clan and an outside alchemist affiliated with the Pill Tower."

The Goddess of the Moon was about to nod her head when suddenly he heard a sarcastic voice saying, "This little baby is the new owner of the Pill Tower? Brother, is there something wrong with your mind? How can someone this young have the ability to become an Alchemist? This is simply absurd."

The moment these words were spoken, the Pill Tower Master and the three grand elders turned pale. They would have never expected that Han Siri would speak this way. The Moon Goddess’s expression remains calm and collected as she stares at Han Siri without much change on her moon despite being looked down upon.

Pill Tower Master Han Siyi glared at his own brother, "Are you listening to your own words? Do you even know what you are talking about? Apologized to the mistress."

"Why should I apologize? Most Alchemists were known for their experience and the older they are the more pills they can make. The Alchemy Association had this strength and if not for their lack of pill recipes they would have monopolized pill creation in the Immortal World," Han Siri said.

Once Yue Xuexia had heard of these words her eyes flickered with something meaningful, she glanced at the darkness once and a shadow from that place had left as if receiving some kind of command. On the other hand, the pill tower master and the two grand elder’s expressions turned serious when they heard what Han Siri had said. Though they knew this man’s obsession to pill refinement, they would have never expected that he would say such words towards the Divine Doctress. Didn’t they tell him before that the Mistress is this current era’s Divine Doctor. Did he just question the Divine Doctor’s skills? Pill Refinement is one of the skill sets a divine doctor inherits. Han Siri hearing the words of his elder brothers made him hold back his words. He wanted to tell them that this is his choice. As long as he learned the enemies skills, the temporary submission to the Yun Clan will allow the Pill Tower not to perish. While the elders are talking among themselves, an assassin from the Evernight Manor appeared beside the Moon Goddess and passed something politely towards her then once again instantly disappearing.

The Pill Tower Master and the two Grand Elders recognize this man as someone from the Evernight Manor and also a subordinate of their Divine Doctress.

Yue Xuexia just nonchalantly read the report she had them investigate and remained calm the whole time. Then she passed the letter to the three seniors which was first taken by Grand Elder Li Houye. As he read the content of the investigation, a glare appeared on his face and looked coldly at Han Siyu.

Grand Elder Li Houye said, "You really dare to do anything for alchemy don’t you, Han Siri."

Han Siri’s expression changed when he heard what Grand Elder Li Houye had said. Grand Elder Su Kan and the Pill Tower Master had a feeling that Li Houye’s anger might have something to do with the report from the Evernight Manor’s assassin. The moment they read the report their faces turned dark with rage and disbelief as well.

"Han Siri met someone from the Yun Clan and agreed to intentionally lose in the alchemy battle three months from now and will be registered into the Alchemy Association as a reward," Grand Elder Su Kan said while reading the content of the letter.

Pill Tower Master Han Siyu said, "You truly dare! Han Siri, how dare you sell out the Pill Tower for a mere low position in the Alchemy Association!?"

Just as the elders were about to fight, the Moon Goddess who was watching the whole scene had finally spoken up which caught the attention of everyone in the Pill Tower including the others who were listening at the side.

The Moon Goddess said, "Enough. Send him away. He is no longer allowed in the Pill Tower and whatever position he had before shall be void. Also, Grand Elder Li you will replace him in the Alchemy Battle three months from now. Let’s go. It’s time for my Alchemy Class."

Yue Xuexia ignored Han Siri and the moment she had said her piece, she immediately walked away. Seeing this Grand Elder Li Houye nudged Grand Elder Su Kan, gesturing to him to follow the Mistress.

He said, "Follow the Mistress and do everything she wanted you to do. Lao Han and I will follow soon."

Grand Elder Su Kan glanced at Han Siri and said to Grand Elder Li, "Okay. You can rest assured."

Once the Moon Goddess and Elder Su Kan had disappeared to the elevator, Grand Elder Li Houye and Pill Tower Master Han Siyu had grabbed Han Siri and brought him to the main office and continued the conversation. They need to interrogate Han Siri about the foolish thing he had agreed to and even prepared to scold him for what he had done.

Pill Tower Master Han Siyu was so angry that he had slapped his younger brother’s face.

"Idiot! How dare you make such a decision!? Don’t you know that I had personally chosen you as a representative of the Pill Tower because I believe in your skills and you choose to betray us in the end!? Your special elder position is now void. The Mistress had spoken, after you left the tower today, you can never come back here."

"Brother!? How can you let that young lady be the owner of the Pill Tower? This is our Han Clan’s property!" Han Siri said.

Pill Tower Master Han Siyu was enraged that he almost slapped Han Siri for the second time but was stopped by the Grand Elder Li Houye in anger.

"You bastard! Who the hell told you that the Pill Tower is owned by the Han Clan!? This tower can only be owned by the generation of the Divine Doctors? It is not something for other families to just declare they owned it. Do you not understand the importance of a Divine Doctor? Every divine doctor can save a dying immortal! Do you truly think the Mistress didn’t have a powerful supporter!"

"But isn’t she alone..." Han Siri mumbles.

Pill Tower Master Han Siyu bellows, "Do you not recognize that assassin just now? An assassin from the Evernight Manor. Do you truly think there is only one of them?!"
