Chapter 26: Chapter 26. Trapped To The Fridge
Chapter 26. Trapped To The Fridge
Rosa Lin’s POV
I was frozen for a few more seconds, watching the living room, trying to ensure I was not running mad.
Then I nodded my head slowly. I pushed open the kitchen door and then stepped in, shutting the door calmly behind me. I walked around the corner, about to turn towards the fridge, but then I saw a figure standing four meters before the window, making me halt and jerk in my steps. He was staring at me with a weird creepy smile.
Tim!
My eyes widened. My heart raced rapidly as I stumbled backwards, almost crashing into the wall. But when I blinked, he was no longer there.
My palms instantly became sweaty. I darted my eyes around the kitchen, pressing my lips together, my body shaking uncontrollably. Okay, what the fuck was that? I thought to myself with my eyes wide like saucers. I was breathing hard now. Okay, this is getting ridiculous.
This has to be fake, right? This has to be my mind playing tricks on me. I did not just see Tim standing right in the kitchen, staring at me weirdly like he was some demon from hell.
I let out a soft breath, pressing my palm against my chest. Calm down, Rosa, I told myself. Calm down. Breathe. You are losing it.
I pressed my palm on the side of my head. It’s just your imagination, I told myself. It’s just your freaking imagination. Do not let it get to you. Forget about it.
I opened my eyes, then I angrily switched the socket at the side of the kitchen. The light from the overhead bulb flickered, lighting up the space. Better, I thought to myself. It’s better for it to be visible than completely dark. This would make me feel a little bit at ease.
I walked over towards the fridge. I slowly opened it, but my eyes kept looking around like I was waiting for that image to surface anywhere. He should surface if he could, I thought to myself.
I needed to get my mind back on track. I opened the fridge, looked around, trying to figure out anything interesting, anything I could use to calm myself down.
But then, I felt a sudden, intense dark feeling from behind me.
It made me pause. My heart began to pound so hard, violently, in my chest. I could feel the thumping vibration all over my body.
My eyelids fluttered. There was certainly somebody behind me. No two ways about it. I could feel it. My senses were high on alert. I could feel every hair on my skin stand up. I turned around rapidly, and sure enough, there was Tim standing before me, with a smirk on his face, both of his hands in his pockets.
I gasped and let out a soft yelp, tumbling backward, my back crashing against the fridge as I stared at him.
He chuckled and shook his head slightly. "Well, aren’t you such a scared little kitten?" he said softly.
Okay, what the fuck is going on right now?
I felt numb all of a sudden. I suddenly couldn’t move my hands. I couldn’t move any part of my body. It felt like I had been trapped in an invisible stone statue.
He stepped even closer until I could feel the warmth radiating from him. God, he was so tall. I probably didn’t notice this earlier at the cafeteria, probably because I was sitting down and he was sitting down as well. He looked down at me. I had to tilt my head up to stare directly into his eyes.
"So cute," he said. He lifted his hand and traced it against my bottom lip.
What the hell is going on? I can’t speak. How did he get in here? This was definitely not my imagination. This wasn’t a ghost. It was him. Really him. Like he was standing before me. I could feel him.
"What..." I tried to say something, but my throat felt dry.
He chuckled and shook his head. "Relax," he said calmly, like he owned every space I breathe. "Don’t fight. Don’t resist, okay?" he said. "I assure you I’m not here to cause trouble."
My mind felt blank. His presence here alone right now was trouble, because nothing was making sense.
"I know you must have so many questions," he said. "But not to worry, all will be answered in due time," he said.
He moved his hand and traced it against the side of my face, pushing back strands and smiling. He moved even closer, then I felt the full weight of him pressing me against the fridge, keeping me trapped. I don’t know why I couldn’t move.
God, I really couldn’t. He was definitely doing something to me.
He leaned down until I felt his nose brush softly against mine. "You’re even more beautiful than the last time I remembered. Goddammit, he’s so fucking lucky," he said, whispering into my ears. My body shook.
"Oh, there’s so many things I would love to do to you. To get in his nerves. To make him so fucking sad. To make him ache. To make him cry. To make him suffer," he said calmly.
Okay, I thought to myself. Mia was right from the start. He’s a weird, freaky, creepy stalker. I don’t understand how the hell he is managing to manipulate my senses to appear and disappear at intervals and make me seem like I’m crazy. But I’m so not doing this right now.
And why the parable speaking demeanour?
I tried to fight. I tried to break myself free from whatever pressure was keeping my bones still, but unfortunately, I couldn’t. I realized that this wasn’t a joke anymore. I really couldn’t move. It wasn’t all in my head. It was real.
He pressed himself all the more against me. I could feel every rigid line of his body, his muscles, how huge and large he was.
"How does this feel?" he asked softly. "Has any other man held you like this? Has he started making you feel this way?" he asked, leaning so close I could feel his warm breath against my lips.
What the hell is he talking about? My mind felt scrambled.
He chuckled and shook his head. "I can sense the fires in your gaze. I can sense the retreat in your head. You clearly do not want this. Your subconscious is already fighting it, even though you are not completely aware," he said.
My subconscious? Fighting what? What the hell is he talking about?
I opened my lips. "Please," I whispered.
He chuckled. "Yeah, yeah, I know," he said, smiling down at me. Then he leaned closer until I felt his warm breath against my ears. "Just keep this in mind, though. No matter what you do, no matter how much you struggle, you certainly cannot fight it, because the truth always remains the truth. And the fact is, it has already been established a long while before you returned."
I frowned. Before I returned? What?
"You belong to me," he finished, his voice sudden and so sure.
I felt something sharp pierce against my belly the moment he said that, then I heard him chuckle against my ears.
God help me, this is so eerie. My mind can’t take it anymore.
I shook my head as tears of terror began to fall out. I couldn’t help it. The aura coming from him was so demonic, so choking. My soul wasn’t accepting it.
"What are you doing here?" I found myself saying with a shaky voice. "How did you get in here? Please go. What are you?" I said.
I tilted my head to the side. I wanted to open my mouth and scream and call Mia, but his hand came down fast against my mouth, shutting me up.
"I’m sorry, baby girl," he said. "But I can’t let you do that," he said with a chuckle. "Nobody is coming to save you."
He then brushed his fingers against my lips, pulling them apart.
"Goddammit. Even sexier than I imagined," he muttered.
What the fuck is going on? I am screaming to myself internally.
I couldn’t take it anymore. I struggled with every ounce of my strength. I moved forward, jutting my chest against his. He jerked back, but he still didn’t move away from me. Then I began to shake, struggling.
"Let me go. Let me go. Let me go!" I began to shout uncontrollably.
He chuckled. "Well, well, well, feisty little kitten," he said.
His next movement was so fast. He grabbed both of my hands, pinning them over my head with so much force against the fridge behind me, and came even closer.
I felt a sharp searing pain on my wrists and winced.
"Don’t be so nasty," he said.
I looked up at him just in time to see the black of his irises bleeding all over his eyes—his entire eyes turned total pitch black, the whites, everywhere. He looked so demonic right now.
Then I saw dark tendrils escaping from the corners of his eyes, spreading all over his face, reaching his eyebrows, some parting ways to the side of his head and some down his cheeks. He then smiled at me. The smile was terrifying, so dark. My breath hitched. I froze. I couldn’t move anymore.
"I have said it, and I will say it again: you belong to no one else, no one else except me. You are mine, and mine alone, both in this life and the past and the next and forever."
Then he moved so close. I felt his teeth come down hard against my neck, piercing so deep into my skin. A searing, hot pain flashed through my nerve endings. I tilted my head back and screamed out in pain, arching my back as I struggled to free myself, but it was pointless because of his hands keeping me trapped against the fridge.
