"Ignoring that for now what are your plans for these ingredients? Many of these properties demand high price here in Hammerfell as ingredients with them are rare." he asked seriously.
"I was going to distill them down into their essences to store for later use. I don't mind splitting the essence with you but merely the use of your equipment is not worth so much and I don't know if you have the funds to purchase so much." I said frankly.
"You are correct. My funds not vital for living are not nearly sufficient to purchase such a haul of essences. That said I am sure I could convince the resistance to fund my acquisition of them since they would be the ones receiving most of the finished product in the end." he said confidently.
"How long would that take? I didn't plan to be here long. I wish to return to Skyrim with haste lest the Thalmor realize I am here and move to capture or kill me again." I say seriously.
"Three days at least, maybe more if the weather doesn't agree." he said helplessly.
"Hmm, I can accept three days. But no more. This town may be a little clever with how it checks for spies but even now I can think of four ways the Thalmor might get past it." I say firmly.
He nods "I understand. There is no absolute method of removing spies. Hopefully none that may be here recognize you and report back in this time." he said seriously.
(Third person POV)
But what they feared was already in motion. Amongst the people of the town there indeed existed a spy, though not one loyal to the Thalmor. This spy was no one important in the town, a lowly farmer that tended the crops grown at the edge of the dome.-
What made him such an excellent spy however was the fact the Thalmor had his daughter held in captivity. He certainly hated them passionately but with such leverage he was forced to comply and deliver reports on anything that happened worth noting. Alexan's arrival was on that list as his arrival created a small stir. This spy had seen the mage robes, strange hat and boots. He hadn't seen the disguise get dispelled but didn't need to when he saw Alexan leave the general store wearing those items.-
Through the paired book in his house he wrote down all of his observations that sank into the paper and vanished to reappear in it's twin that the Thalmor held. Being a spy handler was not a glorious task. Being this spy's handler was much less so as few if any information he collects is worth attention. The black and gold robed Altmer woman believed this new report would be the same and slowly, almost lazily opened the paired book to check. She sat up straight with furrowed eyebrows as the description on the page tickled a part of her memory.-
With far more urgency than before she retrieved and started flipping through the documents on the persons of interest to the Aldmeri dominion. She soon found one last updated months prior by the college of winterholds agent in Skyrim, Ancano. The report read as follows.
{Alexan Aldmeri Alysaen
Description: Half breed Nord/Altmer. Approximately six feet eight inches in height with a robust physique. Has shown dangerous levels of talent in the arcane arts and mastery of swordsmanship. Is familiar bonded with what has been identified by the target as a draconic mutated gryphon. Standard apparel of choice consists of a top hat with moving crab pincers, a pair of boots with moving crab legs, A plain shirt and pants or mages robe.
Danger level: High.
"Instructions: If encountered outside any hold town or city attempts at termination are encouraged. Prepare anti-aerial measures before commiting to any form of attempt. DO NOT ENGAGE AT CLOSE RANGE. Target poses a threat to Thalmor rule and should not be allowed time to grow further.}
'I have to report this!' The woman thought as she shot up from her seat and rushed out of the room she occupied normally in this base within Hammerfell.
The base was alive with the movement of Thalmor soldiers between deployments going about their days as she moved with purpose across the tiled floor towards the office the bases commander occupied. She stood before the wooden door and taking a nervous breath rapped her knuckles against it's grain.
"THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!"
Three insistent knocks that sounded out as she did so and for the first time the soldiers registered her existence and what her being here meant as the hall grew quiet.
"Enter" A firm male voice said from the other side of the door.
The handler pulled the door open and nervously entered the office. It could be described as luxurious as it had several decorative plants in pots, various art pieces on display and a large neatly made red silken bed. In the center of the room with the largest window at it's back sat the large wooden desk and chair that the commander sat behind with the sun shining down on the piles of documentation and maps on the desk. The commander was an anomaly among Altmer as he was incredibly bulky in appearance. By standard Altmer standards he was crude looking and brutish like an Orc or Nord.-
His head was shaved and polished to a golden shine and a set of thick Golden aldmeri heavy armor adorned his body even here in the office he used for paperwork and tactical planning.
"Well? What is it? I've not the time to be wasting on pointless interruptions." he demanded firmly.
"Of course lord commander. I have just received this report from the spy we have planted in Karghistan and thought it urgently requiring your attention. I have brought the relevant documentation for context as well." the woman said as she put the items on the desk.
The commander picked up the person of interest report first and raised an eyebrow.
"He's here? In Hammerfell? You are certain?" he asked with a fierce stare.
"The description is nearly spot on. If it is not him than it's a look alike closely enough in appearance to cause reasonable doubt." the woman said tapping the paired book that showed the description in question.
"Well then. It seems this company might get to gain some glory after all." the commander said with a blood thirsty smile.
