But with Liu Yue’Er here, he’d have to put that plan on hold for now. He would wait for her to wake up.

Lin Xuan carried her back to his room. It was actually the first time he had really been in his assigned quarters; he’d been too busy before. The room itself was nothing special, just an ordinary chamber, but the Elemental Power was slightly denser than outside.

He didn’t know how long he’d been cultivating when a light touch on his body made him open his eyes. He was greeted by the sight of a stunningly pure and beautiful young face, which startled him so much that he leaped backward. "Who are you?!" he exclaimed in shock.

He looked her up and down. The girl appeared to be around eleven or twelve years old, and she was lying right next to him.

The most crucial part was that he couldn’t sense any aura from her. Even during his cultivation, he never completely blocked his senses; the slightest disturbance would normally wake him instantly. Yet this time, he’d only woken up because she touched him. Only someone with an incredibly well-concealed presence could have gotten so close.

"Daddy, what’s wrong with you? It’s me, Yue’Er!" The girl’s beautiful eyes filled with confusion, wondering why Lin Xuan didn’t recognize her.

"Yue... Yue’Er?" Lin Xuan stared, dumbfounded, at the girl before him. This pre-teen girl was actually Liu Yue’Er!

Now that she’d said it, he took a closer look. He could indeed see traces of the younger Liu Yue’Er in her lovely face. She was even wearing the same set of clothes the little girl had been wearing, but her sudden growth spurt had stretched them to the breaking point.

"Is it... is it really you, Yue’Er?" Lin Xuan looked her up and down, sucking in a sharp breath. ’How many days has it been?’ He quickly estimated he had only been meditating for a few days. In the blink of an eye, she had aged from six or seven to her early teens!

"It is! I don’t know why either, I just suddenly grew up!" Liu Yue’Er said with a cheerful smile, looking as pure and adorable as ever.

Once outside, he summoned the Fire Phoenix and had Liu Yue’Er climb on. They flew away from the edge of the grounds. Trying to leave through the main gate would have caused too much trouble.

As he made his way out, he was once again the subject of whispers and pointing fingers. With the competition just around the corner, people were baffled as to why Lin Xuan would be leaving. Most just assumed he was so confident in his abilities that he could afford to leave at such a critical time.

Either that, or he was heading out to retrieve something important.

Once clear of the mansion, Lin Xuan and Liu Yue’Er flew straight to Vast Origin City, where he brought her to the Ten Thousand Treasures Pavilion.

’You mean to tell me you’ve brought me another person?’ Zi Yi thought, giving Liu Yue’Er a strange look. ’And what’s with the men’s clothing? Lin Xuan keeps bringing me newcomers. Does he really think the Ten Thousand Treasures Pavilion is a training camp for rookies?’

"Sister, we came to see you again!" The moment Liu Yue’Er saw Liu Xin, she rushed forward and threw her arms around her in a tight hug.

"You... who are you?" Liu Xin looked Liu Yue’Er up and down, completely failing to recognize the girl before her.

"It’s me, Yue’Er!" Liu Yue’Er chirped happily.

But they wouldn’t be so lenient with an older girl. Unless she became an Inner Hall Disciple of Qingcheng Mansion herself, there was absolutely no way she could stay. After weighing his options, bringing her to the Ten Thousand Treasures Pavilion seemed like the only choice. This was only temporary, however. He would consider bringing her back with him after the finals for the top ten were over.

"Having her join won’t be a problem. As it happens, I have a little something I need Young Master Lin’s help with as well." Zi Yi looked at him with a cunning glint in her eyes, instantly making him feel like prey that had been spotted by a predator.
