Florenza was a world filled with the rich scent of vegetation.
Low-lying plants grew in abundance, covering many corners of the world.
A unique species known as the Florenzans was native to this land.
Over the course of their long evolution, the Florenzans came to dominate this world and gradually gave rise to gods of their own.
Within the Divine Descendants Star Domain, there were countless gods and pantheons.
At its peak, it had more than one thousand three hundred recorded deities of Rank Four and above.
Since the outbreak of the Clash of Civilizations, the number of deities had inevitably fallen sharply.
Even so, it remained a formidable large-sized star domain.
As more and more deities from Divine Descendants World returned to their home star domain, their current number stood at around seven hundred.
That was still an astonishing number.
Back when Sein’s faction attacked Wild Gorilla World, it had only around seventy deities at most.
Even then, Wild Gorilla World had been considered a relatively powerful medium-sized plane.
Glasdor Lopen Augustin was the leader of the Florenzan pantheon.
He was a peak Rank Five being with a deep scar across his face.
At its height, the Florenzan pantheon had boasted twelve deities.
Judging by that number alone, Florenza had been far more prosperous than Black Mist World in its prime.
Glasdor’s rather lengthy name came from the peculiar slang developed by the Florenzans.
This was a medium-sized pantheon that had never been particularly favored by the mainstream pantheons of Divine Descendants World. But after the retreat from the Gallant Federation’s territory, Glasdor seemed to have gained a bit more recognition.
That was because he now commanded a total of seven subordinate deities.
After returning from the campaign across the Gallant Federation’s territory, the Florenzan pantheon had suffered only a one-third reduction in its ranks. Compared to the losses suffered by the vast majority of pantheons in Divine Descendants World, this outcome was already quite good.
Moreover, Glasdor had clearly reached the threshold of Rank Six. The suppressed yet profound divine power fluctuations emanating from him were traits usually seen only in greater deities.
Even so, Glasdor himself was in a poor mood. His expression was dark and somber.
Florenza had entered its long rainy season six months ago.
The sky was a murky gray. Dark clouds hung over more than half of this low-level plane, including Glasdor’s temple.
Those thick, heavy clouds seemed to cast a shadow not only over Florenza, but over Glasdor’s heart as well.
Glasdor gazed into the distance, his sight piercing through the layers of dark clouds and the endless starry sky, as though he could see the four subordinate deities who had fallen along the border between the Gallant Federation Star Domain and the Divine Descendants Star Domain.
Of the four subordinate deities under his command, three had perished. The last had half his body blasted apart by the Dawn Empire’s Dragon Howler at the border of the Divine Descendants Star Domain.
Under such circumstances, Glasdor had no strength to spare for anyone else.
As always, when war broke out, Glasdor looked after no one but himself.
It was honestly a wonder that, with such a leader at the helm, the Florenzan pantheon’s mortality rate remained below average.
Perhaps the other deities on the battlefield had long since noticed that their leader was already preparing to slip away. Naturally, they followed his example and ran for their lives.
Fleeing was not exactly Glasdor’s specialty, though. At times, this short deity could be quite ruthless, and he never held back in battle.
Florenza Claws were Glasdor’s signature divine artifact.
He even hoped that one day, his claws would reach the level of an overgod artifact.
That was the term used by beings in Divine Descendants World to refer to world-class secret treasures. This was because only overgods were qualified to possess treasures of such caliber.
In the relatively resource-rich Divine Descendants Star Domain, with its vast territory and numerous planes, it seemed that only the Overgod Marduk truly possessed a world-class secret treasure.
As for other deities who might once have possessed world-class secret treasures, Marduk had eliminated them all long ago.
Glasdor was not staring into the distance for no reason.
Beyond the rolling dark clouds, the silhouettes of the Gallant Federation’s fleets and legions of mobile suits were clearly visible.
The Gallant Federation had indeed invested heavily in the defense of Florenza Plane.
In addition to a mixed-composition war fleet comparable to Rank Six combat power, the Gallant Federation had also deployed vast numbers of mid and lower-tier legions, along with various special weapons, to Florenza.
They had even brought in an apocalyptical weapon, which had been positioned near the navel of the plane.
According to a two-star federal general, they needed to harness the core of Florenza Plane to charge the weapon.
But Glasdor knew the truth. This was the knife the federation had pressed against the throat of every living being on Florenza Plane.
Because of the unfavorable situation in the Clash of Civilizations, more and more of the federation’s vassal planes had chosen to surrender to the Magus Civilization in recent years, causing no small amount of trouble for the Gallant Federation.
There were plenty of clever individuals like the God of Black Mist in the Astral Realm.
Everyone simply wanted to survive.
Unfortunately, Glasdor had also discovered that the Magus Civilization and its followers did not seem to need that many surrenderers.
“Notify the God of Bloodlight and the others to prepare for battle. The enemy will arrive soon,” Glasdor said, turning to his divine messenger.
The divine messenger, who possessed peak demigod-level strength, respectfully accepted the order and withdrew.
Glasdor had no intention of surrendering. Partly because Sein and the others had no need for those who surrendered, and partly because the Gallant Federation had recently delivered several items to him—two vials of S806 genetic variant serum, four Planar Star Cores, and seven divine relics that perfectly matched the attributes of his divine power.
This time, the Gallant Federation had truly been generous.
They had provided such substantial support to Glasdor and Florenza Plane because they wanted to use this world as a foothold to resist the Dawn Empire’s massive offensive against dozens of surrounding planes.
After issuing the divine decree, Glasdor turned and walked toward the deepest part of his temple.
Unlike the deities of other planes, who preferred to build their temples tall and majestic, Glasdor preferred to extend his temple downward, burying it deep underground.
In that dark space, Glasdor picked up a silver syringe with a sharp needle that glinted ominously.
His pitch-black eyes narrowed. Then, without hesitation, Glasdor plunged the silver needle into his arm.
A special liquid flowed into his body.
At the same time, the divine relics around him erupted with brilliant radiance, each one glowing with dazzling, ethereal law light as their power surged in specific directions.
At that very moment, a federal warship near the navel of Florenza Plane sensed the unique law power fluctuations spreading through the world.
At that very moment, near the navel of Florenza Plane, a federal warship sensed the unique law fluctuations spreading through the world.
Through a hatch at its base, it deployed four Star Cores radiating intense law energy toward the navel of this low-level plane.
A massive transformation began to unfold, both within Florenza and beyond it.
