Chapter 1293: Killing You Requires No Reason (2)

"You don’t need to know that much." The young man was none other than Xiao Ya, who had just arrived in Palermo. His appearance gave Quan Mingyuan an opportunity. A sharp expression flashed across his gloomy face, and after a few tests, he already knew the opponent’s skills thoroughly.

Quan Mingyuan let out a creepy laugh and unleashed his body technique with terrifying speed, clawing towards Xiao Ya’s throat. "You’re far from being able to kill me." His fierce stance seemed to end Xiao Ya in one move, showing no mercy at all.

However, Xiao Ya was no ordinary person. His tall and lean body twisted, evading Quan Mingyuan’s attack, and decisively threw two exquisite surgical knives straight at Quan Mingyuan’s chest.

Bang! Before the surgical knives could pierce any vital part, Quan Mingyuan suddenly disappeared. A moment later, a powerful force struck Xiao Ya’s back. Somehow, Quan Mingyuan had quietly moved behind him and punched his spine.

Xiao Ya’s body shook instantly, and he was sent flying, crashing into a nearby wall. "Has the Xiao family no one else? Sending a kid like you to die. Today, I’ll clean up for Mu Rongyun’s sake and teach you a lesson for betraying your benefactor to join that scoundrel. Today, you’ll learn the taste of betrayal."

Bang bang bang, consecutive punches rained down on Xiao Ya, and nobody expected Quan Mingyuan to be so skilled. Xiao Ya couldn’t make even a proper counterattack and was already covered in blood. Xiao Li, waiting outside, couldn’t believe his eyes. He had never seen Quan Mingyuan in action before, and today was a terrifying experience for him.

The speed under heavy punches was astonishing. Xiao Ya could only shield his head with his hands, covering vital areas, while looking for an opportunity to break free. Meanwhile, Quan Mingyuan’s subordinates had already noticed something suspicious in the conference room via the surveillance system and charged in, completely surrounding it.

Watching the one-sided situation inside, they figured there was nothing left for them to do, just like Xiao Li, standing guard outside. They knew Quan Mingyuan’s temperament well. Seeing their superior’s excitement, entering now to clean up would definitely dampen his mood.

Faced with Quan Mingyuan’s rapid attacks, several bones in Xiao Ya’s body were already fractured. Yet, his pitch-black eyes showed no sign of panic, and his defense grew more ingenious. Quan Mingyuan had to be impressed by the young man’s mental resilience on this point.

Maintaining calm in such a situation was already remarkable. Only through analyzing and thinking intelligently could he find a chance to counterattack, which might offer a glimmer of hope for survival.

Taking advantage of the moment Quan Mingyuan slowed down slightly, Xiao Ya quickly grabbed a nearby chair, positioning it between himself and Quan Mingyuan.

Crunching sounds erupted as the unfortunate chair couldn’t withstand the pressure, shattering into pieces.

Twisting his body, he darted to the side and unleashed a swirling attack with both palms. With exquisite angles and speed, it targeted Quan Mingyuan’s lower right abdomen.

The palm wind carried a chilling force, and a silver surgical knife followed, swiftly piercing Quan Mingyuan’s right waist muscle. Fortunately, he reacted quickly, and the knife only grazed the side, not penetrating deeply enough to cause major harm.

"You little brat, you’ve provoked my killing intent. Today, I won’t spare you." Quan Mingyuan yanked the surgical knife out and tossed it to the ground.

A frightening glare shot from Quan Mingyuan’s eyes as he closed his fists. His sharp gaze grew more terrifying with the vibration of his arms. His ten fingers formed into claws, and he stepped into the ground with one foot, rebounding towards Xiao Ya’s two major death points.

Jiuwei and Tanchong are among the main acupuncture points on the human body. Although Xiao Ya hadn’t studied traditional Chinese medicine as deeply as Xiao Lin, he knew enough. He wasn’t as specialized as Xiao Lin, but Quan Mingyuan’s evident killing intent forced him to secretly compete. He knew he wasn’t a match for Quan Mingyuan, that much was clear, but in a fight to the death, he’d take someone down with him.

The sound of battle echoed through the conference room. Xiao Ya’s timing was very precise, switching from defense to offense smoothly, always evading Quan Mingyuan’s attacks on major points, drawing him into his next defense zone. These clever tactics seemed like child’s play in Quan Mingyuan’s eyes. It was impossible for him to let Xiao Ya lead him by the nose.

Just as Xiao Ya thought he was about to succeed, Quan Mingyuan’s figure suddenly vanished, startling Xiao Ya. Instantly, he heard a strange whistling in his ear. The twisting claws landed heavily on Xiao Ya’s arms, fingers like steel claws, pulling down with such force, shredding his skin until it was a bloody blur.

Xiao Ya suppressed his agony, swallowing his cries back into his gut, staring at Quan Mingyuan with blood-red eyes. His already pale face grew even whiter from the intense pain, his clenched jaw emitting a grinding sound.

"Die, kid." Quan Mingyuan flipped his claws again, aiming for Xiao Ya’s chest. But then, a loud boom sounded overhead, and a shadow descended between the two, clutching Quan Mingyuan’s arms with both hands, pressing down in the same manner.

Caught off guard, Quan Mingyuan felt as if his arms were being ripped apart, bloody marks appearing on his arms, oozing blood.

"Who are you?" He shouted, body leaping up, legs kicking out rapidly, frantically attacking the shadow.

"Xiao Lin!"

He hadn’t intended to reveal himself to Xiao Ya in this way, but Quan Mingyuan’s ruthlessness forced him out of the ventilation duct where he had been hiding.

As Xiao Ya’s gaze swept across the room, his body swayed, evading Quan Mingyuan’s attack. Instead of retreating, he advanced, the spike in his right palm entering from Quan Mingyuan’s right arm, aiming straight for his heart.

Bang! Quan Mingyuan was shaken off by Xiao Lin’s left palm, and the wound on his chest pierced by the spike was spurting blood. He glared angrily at the calm Xiao Lin before him, with the scene of Quan Mingyuan being struck flashing instantly in his mind.

"Good, well done, kid. You’ve come at the right time." As soon as he finished speaking, he sprang up, his ten fingers forming claws, grabbing at Xiao Lin’s neck.

Whether it was due to extreme shock or anger, this attack was riddled with countless flaws and openings. Although the momentum was ferocious, it was not difficult to notice that in his springing-up posture, if a third person intervened, Quan Mingyuan would undoubtedly suffer serious injuries.

Xiao Lin was only a dozen centimeters away from Quan Mingyuan’s right claw. He remained calm, his feet dancing on the ground, causing his whole body to sway left and right. At this moment, Xiao Ya suddenly sprang from the ground, using his last ounce of strength to crash into Quan Mingyuan’s right side. "Watch out!" Xiao Lin did not expect Xiao Ya to suddenly appear. He shouted loudly, his body spinning, brushing past the table to arrive at Quan Mingyuan’s right side, extending his right arm down to lift Xiao Ya’s abdomen, and using force to shake him away to his left side, avoiding Quan Mingyuan’s secret leg-kick attack.

"Are you okay?" Both of them collapsed under the conference table as Xiao Lin eagerly checked Xiao Ya’s injuries.

"I’m fine!"

Boom! The conference table above was split in half by someone, breaking down the middle, and Xiao Lin quickly pulled Xiao Ya from underneath it to a corner, slamming one palm on Xiao Ya’s shoulder while already advancing towards Quan Mingyuan’s position.

The sounds of fists and palms clashing rang out. Although Quan Mingyuan didn’t hit Xiao Lin’s vital points, he managed to slash Xiao Lin’s shoulder during the entanglement, causing blood to splatter everywhere; exposing his shoulder vulnerability, Xiao Lin simultaneously struck Quan Mingyuan’s chest with a palm.

This palm was so powerful that it almost crushed Quan Mingyuan’s chest. The latter flew off to the side with full force, and Xiao Lin’s spikes followed closely, scraping the wall and raising a layer of chalk dust all over the meeting room.

People outside heard the noise inside and sensed something was wrong, wanting to rush in, but were stopped by Xiao Li. "Going in now will definitely get you scolded by the Throne. Do you not want to live?"

Hearing Xiao Li’s voice, Quan Mingyuan opened his mouth, trying to shout something, but was flipped over by Xiao Lin’s kick. His right hand spike cut deeply into his abdomen, while the left-hand spike pierced diagonally into Quan Mingyuan’s neck after the successful hit by the right hand.

With eyes wide open, Quan Mingyuan didn’t know why he was defeated even in death!

"Is he dead?" Xiao Ya, seeing no movement from the two, propped against the wall and stood up.

"Mm!" Xiao Lin nodded, removing the spike, as Quan Mingyuan’s body twitched a few more times before tilting over at the broken conference table.

"Just died like that?" Xiao Ya still expressed distrust; this guy was indeed tough, and singly, the odds were roughly even.

Xiao Lin curled his lips into a smile. "I wasn’t confident in securely ridding him of his life in a short time through brute force, but having someone secretly help makes a difference."

"Oh?" Xiao Ya looked at himself, then at Xiao Lin; this hidden helper wasn’t him for sure. "The kid outside?"

Xiao Lin nodded; Xiao Ya was smart. "Without him, I couldn’t have gotten here; the dust in the air played a decisive role."

"Then why were we unharmed?"

"It was me, not you." Xiao Lin blinked at Xiao Ya. "I don’t remember your strength being that poor; surely when you entered the meeting room, you must have noticed something unusual?"

Saying this, he lifted Xiao Ya, drilling below from where he came down. "Go straight, then left, and there’s a fork. Pick the right side and wait for me at the next junction."

"You’re not coming together?" Xiao Ya eyed Xiao Lin suspiciously; the people outside seemed unable to hold back.

"I need to handle some details, you go first, I’ll catch up later." Saying this, Xiao Lin ignored Xiao Ya, beginning to deal with the scene, and started manipulating Quan Mingyuan’s corpse.

Xiao Ya shrugged, following Xiao Lin’s instructions, moving through the ventilation pipes. From afar, he noticed a hint of red and immediately went alert. The pitch-black pipes suddenly showed red, inevitably causing confusion.

Lao Jiu had been waiting for a long time; surprisingly, another person arrived. "Who are you? Where is Young Master Xiao?" (To be continued.
