“I’m sure Eytelis has a reason for not answering your questions, Mother,” Liluth stated.

“Hmm,” Riniya replied.

Liluth smiled before saying, “You are correct in saying that the great tree and Eytelis are connected; however, as king, Father has to consider every possibility. I’m sure the concern that the great tree could destroy the capital in its anger was what caused him to agree to cover up the kidnapping.”

“Destroy the capital?” Emma repeated.

Liluth nodded before explaining, “The capital city of Solarian Prime and our race's seat of power is built around the great tree. Because of this, the great tree towers above the city while its roots stretch out even further than the city walls. What damage do you think it could do if it decided to act out in anger?”

“That's right, even the planetquakes it caused earlier were already enough to concern us,” Keerla remarked.

“Planetquakes?” Rowena asked in surprise.

Keerla nodded before explaining, “During Lady Eytelis's torture of Fiere Lucent, her anger seemed to affect the great tree, causing it to create several planetquakes.”

Eytelis scratched her cheek and laughed in embarrassment while saying, “My bad.”

“Your bad?” Riniya repeated. “You do realise what could have happened to the capital if you had lost control even more, right?”

“Oh, come on, that was never going to happen,” Eytelis replied dismissively.

“Then explain what is happening to the great tree and why it’s suddenly flowing in winter,” Riniya demanded.

Eytelis scratched her cheek while glancing at Adam out of the corner of her eye as she said, “It must be a side effect of the medication Adam provided me.”

“That I could guess on my own; what I want to know is why it’s affecting the great tree and what side effects we should expect,” Riniya replied.

“Side effects?” Eytelis repeated in surprise. “There won’t be any side effects. The great tree is flowering because the medicine Adam supplied me was too potent for my body alone to handle, and so the great tree took some of the burden.”

“Wait, seriously?” Adam asked in surprise. “If it was too potent, why didn’t you say something?”

Eytelis giggled before leaning towards him and saying flirtatiously, “Well, It’s not like it was something that could be diluted.”

“God damn it, I knew it. She drank his cum,” Becky complained.

“You didn’t!” Riniya asked in shock as most of the women stared in shock.

“You can’t be serious?” Revi asked with a frown.

“Aww, hell no,” Tephe said as she glared at Eytelis.

“Well, I suppose it is a form of medicine in some ways,” Aphrodite remarked while chuckling.

“Seriously, Becky?” Lorelie asked in exasperation.

“While I admit it’s tasty, it doesn’t have that effect,” Rowena remarked in amusement.

Eytelis broke out in laughter before asking, “What the heck gave you that idea?”

“Well, you were just flirting with him,” Becky said with a scowl.

“And so you immediately jumped to that conclusion?” Eytelis asked with another chuckle before flashing Adam a flirtatious smile while adding, “Though I’m not against the idea of tasting it.”

“Women, have you no shame?” Riniya asked in a scandalised tone.

“What?” Eytelis asked. “It’s not like you haven’t tasted Taegen’s.”

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

“Great tree, please stop,” Liluth remarked in embarrassment.

“Whether I have or haven’t isn’t something I go around publicly declaring, and neither should you. Think of your position,” Riniya retorted.

“Oh, please,” Eytelis scoffed. “Everyone here is someone I feel comfortable being around.”

“But you’ve only just met them,” Riniya replied.

“And what of it?” Eytelis asked. “Do you really think that someone my age can’t judge someone's character?”

“While that’s true, you're still capable of being tricked,” Riniya stated.

“Perhaps, but I have my reasons for knowing that I can trust every one of them,” Eytelis adamantly replied.

Riniya was about to protest again when Keerla suddenly spoke up, “Your Majesty, I think it’s best if we put this topic aside for now.”

After saying that, Keerla looked at Eytelis and asked, “Lady Eytelis, are you certain this sudden flowering of the great tree is nothing to be concerned about?”

“I am, after all, even my own antlers have flowers upon them,” Eytelis replied while indicating her antlers.

“Now that you mention it, you're right,” Riniya remarked. “How did I not notice that before?”

“Probably because you were more concerned with getting answers than enquiring about my well-being,” Eytelis pouted.

“Eytelis, I…” Riniya began, only for Eytelis’ pout to turn into a smile as she winked at her friend and said.

“I’m only kidding; honestly, I was surprised to see them there myself.”

Now that she knew Adam hadn’t been intimate with Eytelis, Tephe curiously asked, “Don’t your antlers normally have flowers on them?”

“Not during winter,” Eytelis explained. “They mimic the flowers of the great tree. So I get them during the other seasons, but this is the first time they’ve bloomed during winter.”

“What sort of flower is it?” Lorelie asked as she carefully studied Eytelis' antlers. “They’re so beautiful.”

“No idea; even I’ve never seen this type before,” Eytelis replied.

“They kind of remind me of the floor you see on cherry blossom trees,” Emma remarked as she also studied them.

“You mean sakura trees?” Adam asked. “I thought they were pink?”

“You're only partially right,” Emma explained. “The most famous cherry blossoms are indeed pink; however, there are winter variants that have more white-pink petals like what we're seeing here.”

“You sure know a lot about them,” Adam remarked.

“I have some companies in Japan, after all,” Emma answered.

“You mean there from Earth?” Rowena asked with interest.

“That's right,“ Adam replied before saying. “Spector, if you would.”

“Affirmative,” Spector responded before numerous holographic screens featuring images of cherry blossom trees appeared.

“So beautiful,” Tephe marvelled as they all stared at the images.

“They do indeed look very similar to the flowers currently blooming on the great tree, but how's that even possible?” Shalendra remarked.

“I must just be a coincidence,” Liluth remarked as she stared at the images.

No one noticed it, but as Liluth stared at the images, her eyes seemed to grow reminiscent of something for a moment.

“So is this going to be a seasonal thing, or is it just a one-off because of this so-called medicine?” Riniya asked.

“At this point it’s too early to say,” Eytelis replied while shrugging. “We’re just going to have to wait a year and see what happens.”

Riniya sighed before waving her hand and saying, “Fine, but honestly, I’m not sure if I should be happy about your lack of concern regarding this.”

“It’s fine; I know Adam would never hurt me,” Eytelis said as she smiled sweetly at Adam. “Besides, the great tree has never felt so invigorated.”

“How can you have so much faith in the man?” Riniya sighed. “No offence, but if I didn’t know better, I would have sworn he was a Succuba in disguise.”

“While that’s an interesting idea, I can promise you that he’s not a Succuba,” Aphrodite said in amusement.

“Nah,” Emma said with a smirk. “Adam’s a male, so he’d be an Incuba.”

“Seriously?” Adam asked as he understood Emma’s meaning.

“A what?” Aphrodite asked.

“Hmm, how to explain this,” Emma said thoughtfully. “You already know what a Succubus is, right?”

“Succubus?” Shalendra repeated. “Don’t you mean Succuba?”

“Not this time,” Emma replied.

“Adam explained it to me in the past,” Aphrodite answered. “Apparently, Succubi are a type of mythical creature on Earth that are remarkably similar to Succuba.”

“That’s right,” Emma replied. “Well, an Incubus is a male version of a Succubus, so an Incuba is…”

“Is the male version of a Succuba,” Aphrodite finished while nodding in understanding. “How amusing; it’s a shame they don’t exist.”

“So there you have it. Both I and the great tree are fine, and I’ll be vacationing on Aqua Primus before returning to Solarian Prime,” Eytelis announced.

“And there’s no way I can persuade you otherwise?” Riniya asked.

“No,” Eytelis adamantly replied.

Riniya sighed before saying, “Then I guess I should ask Adam when he plans to return you to Solarian Prime.”

Adam thought for a moment before saying, “It will most likely be after the Universal Senate's Supreme Speaker Selection. Senator Pevaphio has requested I head there and act as her bodyguard.”

“Yes, I heard that Senator Pevaphio had hired you as her bodyguard,” Riniya replied curiously. “Tell me, how exactly did someone from outside the known universe become a Universal Senator's bodyguard?”

“It was part of the deal for allowing Tephe to continue travelling with us,” Adam answered.

“Something I’m happy about,” Tephe said with a smile.

“We never would have guessed,” Stacey said sarcastically.

“But you're not an official member of the Universal Senate Security Headquarters?” Riniya asked.

“No,” Adam replied.

“Then how do you have a universal force staff?” Riniya asked.

“Is there any rule saying I can’t have one?” Adam asked.

“Yes,” Riniya, Keerla and Shalendra all replied simultaneously.

“Ok, bad question; let me rephrase,” Adam replied. “Is there any law that says someone from outside the known universe can’t have one?”
