Chapter 919: Half-Step Tribulation Realm

Bzzzz!

Roar!

A dragon’s roar echoed, and a large white radish suddenly appeared on Li Guanqi’s shoulder. Grinning foolishly, Peng Luo broke off one of his arms and stuffed it into Li Guanqi’s mouth.

Nine Heavens smashed through the void with three figures standing proudly atop his head. Ye Feng had arrived with another Peng Luo perched on his shoulder.

The experts on Li Guanqi’s side immediately surrounded Sha.

Li Guanqi gripped the Red Lotus Sword and stared at him coldly. “Today is the day you die.”

Ye Feng, Cao Yan, and Xiao Chen still had vital force surging around them. They hadn’t even had a chance to celebrate before they learned everything that had happened.

Gu Li and Meng Wanshu looked incredibly solemn. They both knew how terrifying their opponent was.

Bzzzz!

Sha hovered more than two hundred zhang away with his hands clasped behind his back, composed and arrogant. “Heh. You really think highly of me. Nine Mahayana Realm cultivators... Tsk, tsk.

His eyes remained calm and unreadable beneath his mask. “Still... you think that’s enough to kill me? Aren’t you being a little too… naive?”

Boom!

Black demonic qi surged into the sky as violent power erupted from Sha. The terrifying pressure instantly broke through the limits of the Mahayana Realm and reached the half-step Tribulation Realm. It was so overwhelming that Li Guanqi and the others could not even properly gauge it.

Gu Li swallowed hard, fear flashing in his eyes as he said gravely, “This guy’s cultivation has definitely surpassed the Mahayana Realm! At this level… even ten of my father couldn’t handle him…”

Gu Li swallowed hard, a flicker of fear in his eyes. “This guy has definitely surpassed the Mahayana Realm! With power like that… even ten men as strong as my father wouldn’t stand a chance.”

Everyone’s expression turned grim.

Qian Ze’s eyes narrowed, his expression grave. He glanced at Hong Zhi and the others, but they seemed utterly unfazed.

Hong Zhi sneered. “Half-step Tribulation Realm?”

The others were just as indifferent. Chan Kongzi shrugged. “Half-step Tribulation Realm... Gee, how scary. What should we do? Which one of you is going first?”

The pressure shook the entire region, yet before the Eight Generals, it might as well have not existed.

The black-robed Wu Mian narrowed his eyes. An instant later, he vanished from sight.

Shhk!

A flash of cold light streaked past. Sha shot more than a thousand zhang to the side, then raised a hand to his ear. One ear and part of his mask had been sliced away with a dagger.

Wu Mian reappeared where Sha had been standing, idly toying with the severed ear. A faint smile touched his lips. “Half-step Tribulation Realm? Not worth mentioning.”

Boom!

A blurred figure flashed into view. Overwhelming fist intent erupted around Chan Kongzi as he charged forward and threw a punch straight at Sha’s back.

Sha’s eyes flickered. Boundless demonic qi rose behind him like a tidal wave and swept in every direction.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The churning demonic qi roared like waves crashing against the shore. It exploded, tearing open a gaping crater hundreds of zhang across.

Chan Kongzi slowly approached Sha. As he did, black demonic rain fell around them.

He grinned and flexed his wrist mockingly. “Honestly, sending the Four Kings would be a waste. You don’t deserve that level of attention.”

Bzzzz!

Space trembled. You Ming stood a thousand zhang away, his hands flashing through a series of seals. “Forbidden Domain, Profound Seal Array!”

Above and below them, a vast blood-red array spanning ten thousand zhang appeared and slowly began to turn.

Nangong Xuandu secured his wine gourd at his waist, drew the sword from his back, and slowly walked into the array.

Hong Zhi and Nangong Xuandu advanced from the front and back, while Chan Kongzi and Wu Mian closed in from the left and right. You Ming controlled the array as the other four generals sealed every direction, completing the encirclement.

Li Guanqi sent Tang Wei a voice transmission. “Uncle Tang, you don’t need to stay here. Find Tang Ru right away and take him somewhere he can recover. There’s a lightning pool at the Daxia Sword Sect. Sect Master Lu will take you there and help suppress Tang Ru’s demonic qi.”

Tang Wei nodded and immediately turned to leave.

Qian Ze exchanged glances with Li Guanqi and gave a slight nod. Li Guanqi nodded back.

Ye Feng asked in a low voice, “Boss, should we...?”

Li Guanqi shook his head. “Be careful. I don’t think this hunt is as simple as it seems. Sha is far too cunning. We can’t be certain he has no backup plan.”

The moment he finished speaking, Sha clutched his mask with both hands and burst into wild laughter that echoed through the sky. “Hahaha! I truly haven’t lived in vain! I’ve trapped six of the Seventh Territory’s Eight Generals all by myself! Xiang Huaizhi should be fighting the Yin-Yang Twin Fiends right now, shouldn’t he? They’ve been fighting for a full hour now, haven’t they?”

Hong Zhi’s expression darkened. She did not understand why he would mention that.

Xiang Huaizhi ranked third among them and was only marginally weaker than her. Yet, a full hour had passed, and he still had not dealt with two mere Liang-tier cultivators.

Explosions thundered without end throughout the Qilian Mountains. The ground trembled as mountains collapsed one after another, and countless demonic beasts beyond the barrier scattered in panic. The stench of blood hung thick in the air, and the ground was littered with corpses and severed limbs.

Xiang Huaizhi was drenched in blood, his body covered in dense, crisscrossing blade wounds.

Boom!

He knocked both opponents back with his twin blades, only for a claw to rake across his chest. His ribs snapped, and the massive wound turned a sickly black in the blink of an eye.

Xiang Huaizhi gasped for breath, his sharp gaze fixed on the two figures nearby.

One was black, and the other was white. The masked men had transformed into towering giants several zhang tall, their enlarged bodies tearing through their robes.

Both were wreathed in demonic qi, their eyes blood-red. The transformation had greatly increased their strength, and within the sealed domain, they could replenish their power indefinitely.

Almost no living cultivators remained inside. Xiang Huaizhi had already drawn most of them into his domain-space. If he died, not one of the hundred thousand cultivators in the Qilian Mountains would survive.

Xiang Huaizhi licked his cracked lips as the crimson flames around him coalesced into a suit of red armor.

He stared coldly at the Yin-Yang Twin Fiends. A crimson spirit seal suddenly appeared between his brows. “It’s been so long since I released this seal. I meant to save it for the Four Kings, but since it’s come to this... I’ll let you two pieces of trash see my true strength!”

Boom!

Half the seal shattered. Xiang Huaizhi’s aura instantly soared to the half-step Tribulation Realm.

“Crimson Sun, Burning Heavens!”

Flames erupted across the sky, devouring the surrounding demonic qi. Even the Abyssal Demon rifts continually opening seemed to encounter something terrifying. Flame seals burned them away one after another until nothing remained.

Xiang Huaizhi took a deep breath, his long hair turning fiery red as it danced in the wind. A pair of thin flame gauntlets formed around his fists. He gripped a spear in his left hand and a blade in his right.

Xiang Huaizhi took a deep breath. His long hair danced in the wind, turning fiery red beneath the flames.

The spreading blaze gradually formed an enormous alchemy furnace several thousand zhang wide.

“Crimson Sun, Heaven and Earth Refining!”

Both Xiang Huaizhi and the two Liang-tier demons stood within the furnace.
