SSS Awakening: All My Clones Have Divine Bloodlines!
Chapter 150: The BlessingEvan wasted no time after advancing.
He immediately resumed hunting, as he was only a short distance away from reaching 100% ESS.
He had already checked his clones’ advancement requirements, so he didn’t hesitate to send them out. They could farm ESS for themselves while simultaneously completing some of the basic requirements of their advancement missions, giving him the perfect opportunity to test his newfound strength.
Needless to say, it was explosive, far more than he’d expected. The same B-rank that would’ve been a real thorn in his side before, one he’d have had to grit his teeth and fight alongside his clones just to bring down, was now a walk in the park.
In fact, it took him less than 30 seconds to finish it off, which caught him a little off guard. But at the same time, not really.
He could feel the difference in his own strength. He had expected Advanced stage B-Rank opponents to become much easier to deal with after his breakthrough, and now that he had personally confirmed it, he felt considerably more confident.
Confident enough that he no longer feared whatever the system decided to throw at him this time.
Without hesitation, he pulled up his status screen and immediately found the advancement mission icon.
He pressed it, and a new screen opened up in front of him.

’So much for an Advanced-Stage A-Rank. This thing just threw me straight into the lion’s den.’
Evan couldn’t help but suspect the System had a personal grudge against him.
He’d expected another problematic mission like last time, but this was on an entirely new level.
Kill an Avatar of an Abyss God?
Just how strong were those things to begin with?
He knew they were below Overlord rank, which was something at least, but that didn’t mean they were weak.
In the end, he could only shake his head and accept his fate.
One way or another, he would eventually have to fight an A-Rank opponent.
Whether it was an Avatar or a Forsaken shouldn’t make much difference...
At least, that was what he wanted to believe.
He knew it wasn’t quite that simple, but what else could he do besides hope it was?
Through Shadow, Evan gave the order and had him part ways with Lirien, and at the same time, he set off, following his clone’s presence toward the location of that strange flower.
Naturally, he had no intention of charging headfirst into a fight against the Avatar. He still had cards left to play, one of which was his clones, who were on the verge of advancing yet again, something he believed would greatly increase his chances once the real battle began.
With that in mind, he set off, the beautiful goddess following close behind, having already figured out exactly what he was planning to do.
It had been her idea in the first place, and seeing Evan’s recent progress, she was convinced this was the best course of action.
Evan thought the same. His affinity with the Law of Space had already reached a point high enough to let him use it in battle without risking killing himself in the process, something that gave him a lethal edge against pretty much every creature in this place.
He couldn’t wait to see what these Avatars of those gods actually looked like.
While Evan made his way there, deep in the forest, inside the underground cavern beneath that strange flower, something else was happening.
The area, now empty, held nothing but the crimson crystal at its center, glinting with a sinister red glow. It stayed like that for a while, motionless, before its surface began to ripple, rippling like disturbed water, and finally let a figure drop out from within.
It was Adrian.
His appearance was different from before, his skin now a grayish tone, almost corpse-like, with violet veins running the length of his neck, pulsing faintly. His eyes were empty, a deep black, devoid of any light. His expression stayed impassive as he stared at the crystal he’d just emerged from.
Another figure emerged from within, smaller than him. It was Percival, in the same condition.
Adrian smiled, an unsettling smile that bared two rows of teeth in an expression that had very little humanity left in it.
"Come," he said, turning to head toward the exit. "Let me show you the joy of the hunt."
Percival, meanwhile, looked down at his own hands the moment he stepped out of the crystal. He could feel the difference in his body, both outside and within, a powerful force coursing through his veins, dense, almost electric.
He’d feared he was going to die when Adrian fed him to the crystal.
But that wasn’t what happened. The instant he was absorbed by the crystal, he felt his connection grow far stronger, a direct link to that indescribable entity he’d first encountered in his dreams.
Their Master. A being of unspeakable power, one that had both fascinated and terrified Percival.
He’d thought he was going to die. He thought he’d become nothing more than a sacrifice to that being. But that wasn’t what happened either. Instead, he’d been blessed by it. The being had given him exactly what it had promised him: a way out.
It had given him the power to finally change his own fate.
He could feel he’d reached a level of power far beyond anything he’d had before.
From what Adrian had told him, he too had been weak when he first arrived in this place, but thanks to their "Master," he’d reached the level he was at now, and according to him, they could both keep growing even further.
They could become stronger without any restrictions or limits, at an absurd pace. The only thing they needed to do was find sacrifices, and then they’d finally be able to leave this place for good.
Percival smiled as the image of three other individuals surfaced in his mind.
They both received a vision, one that turned out to be the same thing that had led Adrian to cross paths with Percival’s group back in that city
The vision showed them the images of three beings.
One was blurry, a little hazy. The other two were also somewhat hazy, but clear enough that Percival could recognize the figures.
They were the scattered members of his own squad.
They were nearby too.
And they were exactly what he needed right now.
