In a world plagued with rifts and a looming omen of an apocalypse over its head, gaining strength as an awakened was the top priority. It even went as far as almost 90% of awakened putting strength at the very top of their to-do list.

And Silas was one of the 90%. Silas, Gromda, Chloe, Anna, and even Alpha, who wanted nothing to do with the gym. They all needed strength and power to survive.

The looming apocalypse didn’t care about your rank or whether you were cute or brawny. It didn’t give a fuck whether you were the youngest billionaire or the poorest commoner out there. It would vomit monsters and abominations on you all the same.

Checking his stats, he could feel the changes. If anyone had told him that this would be in a few months, he would call them a liar and other ugly names.

But here he was...

Silas stared at the translucent pink screen hovering before him. His eyes slowly swept across every statistic, skill, title, and number. It was strange.

Just a few months ago, seeing even a single point increase would’ve made him celebrate like he’d won the lottery.

Now, his stats had reached the seventies. His level had climbed to twenty-three. His list of abilities had grown so long that it now required scrolling. He wasn’t the same person who had first awakened.

Silas leaned back against one of the pillars outside the gym, watching the morning breeze sway the trees around the estate.

"I’ve really changed."

The system answered almost immediately.

[You are changing. There is a difference.]

Silas smiled faintly.

"Fair enough."

Silence settled between them for a while. He continued looking over his status window. His strength had reached seventy-two, speed seventy-four, stamina seventy-five. His physical attributes had begun balancing themselves naturally.

Even his Intelligence and Endurance had risen considerably. The increase wasn’t explosive. It was... stable, like a foundation being laid before a skyscraper is built.

The system spoke again.

[Evaluation Complete.]

[Current Growth Rate: Excellent.]

Silas raised an eyebrow.

"Excellent?"

[Yes. Your progress has exceeded every projected growth curve. You have awakened multiple racial traits, obtained several Titles, unlocked two special skills unavailable through normal progression, formed three successful Resonance Links, established authority over a foreign world, and defeated enemies beyond your current level on multiple occasions.]

[Current assessment: Outstanding.]

Silas scratched his cheek awkwardly.

"Hearing you praise me feels strange."

[I merely stated facts.]

"Still. It sounds nice."

The system remained quiet for a moment before another notification appeared.

[However...]

Silas’s expression became serious.

"There’s a ’however.’"

[Correct. Your physical growth is beginning to synchronize with your bloodline.]

"Synchronize?"

[Yes. Until now, you have mainly strengthened your body. From this point onward, your bloodline will begin responding more actively.]

Silas looked down at his own hands.

"Meaning?"

A new screen appeared before him.

[Synchronization Rate: 43%]

[First Wing: Nearly Ready]

[Estimated Requirement: Close]

Silas stared at the final line.

"First Wing..."

He subconsciously touched his back. Nothing was there, but he could almost feel it. A strange sensation lingered beneath his shoulder blades. It was neither painful nor uncomfortable, but rather pressuring, as though something wished to emerge but hadn’t yet found the strength to do so.

The system noticed.

[You feel it.]

Silas slowly nodded.

"I can feel it."

The words escaped almost instinctively.

"It started after Gorgath. Now and then, my back feels..." He searched for the right word. "...Heavy."

[That is normal. Your race is not meant to remain wingless. The current state of your race is incomplete.]

Silas frowned slightly.

"So... The wings aren’t just cosmetic."

[Heartweaver Wings are organs.]

"They are?"

[They serve multiple purposes. Flight is merely the most basic function.]

"There’s more?"

[Much more. Each pair of wings represents another stage of racial maturity. Every wing permanently strengthens every aspect of your existence.]

He became interested.

"Such as?"

The system paused for a brief second, almost as though deciding how much to reveal.

[The first wing primarily governs mobility: Flight, mana circulation, resonance amplification, and your connection with Fate.]

Silas quietly absorbed everything.

"So even Resonance becomes stronger..."

[Correct.]

"The girls too?"

[Yes. Every marked partner connected to you benefits indirectly from your evolution.]

Silas couldn’t help smiling. "They’re going to become monsters."

[They already are.]

"True."

The system continued.

[The second wing governs authority. The third governs conceptual influence. Further information remains locked.]

Silas exhaled slowly.

"I figured."

[Your current level is insufficient.]

"Fair enough."

His gaze drifted toward the training hall. He could hear Gromda enthusiastically lifting what sounded suspiciously like an entire machine.

A loud metallic crash followed.

"Oops." That was immediately followed by Gromda’s tiny voice. "...Not broken."

Then came Raymond’s resigned sigh.

"It is, unfortunately, broken."

Silas laughed.

"I’ll buy another."

[Yeah... rich guy...]

"I missed this guy. Are you two personalities in there?"

The system ignored him. After another minute, it spoke in a noticeably calmer tone.

[Silas.]

"Hm?"

[Do not become impatient.]

He looked ahead quietly.

"I wasn’t."

[You were.]

"..."

[Your thoughts accelerated after learning what SSS-Rank truly represents. You wish to become stronger faster.]

"..."

Silas didn’t deny it. How could he? The apocalypse was approaching. Rifts were becoming more frequent. Powerful monsters had already begun appearing. And somewhere, there were beings stronger than the Solar Tyrant Gallus. Much stronger.

He clenched his fist.

"I just... I don’t want to lose anyone."

The words came out more softly than expected. The system answered without its usual teasing.

[I know.]

Silas lowered his head slightly.

"I’ve got Anna, Gromda, Chloe, and Alpha. This estate, Gorgath... So many people are depending on me now. I can’t afford to be weak."

The breeze gently passed through the gardens. Leaves rustled overhead. For a long while, neither of them spoke. Finally, the system broke the silence.

[Then continue.]

Silas looked up.

[Train. Learn. Evolve. You are not racing against others. You are racing against time.]

A small smile slowly appeared on Silas’s face.

"Time, huh?"

[Yes. Fortunately, you have always been an exceptionally fast learner.]

He pushed himself away from the pillar. The status screen disappeared.

"So... What’s today’s recommendation?"

The system answered immediately.

[Martial Arts. Archery. Thread Control. Driving Lesson at 2:00 PM.]

[Do not forget.]

Silas groaned.

"I was hoping you’d forget that one."

[You still confuse the brake pedal with the clutch.]

"Once..."

[Three times.]

"..."

[And you nearly drove into Mr. Drake’s mailbox.]

"It was a very attractive mailbox."

[That is not a valid defense.]

Silas laughed as he walked back toward the gym.

"Alright."

"Let’s get stronger."
