Alpha’s words caused the entire gym to fall silent.

"What?!" Anna and Raymond exclaimed simultaneously.

Alpha kept staring at the painful bulge beneath Silas’s left shoulder blade. His normally playful expression had disappeared completely.

"He’s evolving."

Silas rolled across the floor, clutching his back.

"IT FEELS LIKE SOMEONE IS DRILLING THROUGH MY SPINE!"

[The process is considerably more painful than drilling.]

"THAT WASN’T HELPFUL!!"

Another violent spasm coursed through him.

CRACK!

Everyone heard it. It wasn’t a bone breaking. It was something forcing itself outward. Silas screamed.

"AAAAAAAGH!"

The bulge beneath his skin visibly shifted and moved, like something alive. Like something trying to escape. Gromda immediately rushed forward.

"Mate!"

"No!"

Alpha grabbed her wrist, his small hands struggling to hold her wrist fully. He even wondered how Silas was able to overpower her in bed, but now wasn’t the time to think about that. Gromda turned toward him in confusion and a flicker of anger.

"Why?!"

"You can’t touch him."

"Why?!!!"

Before Alpha could answer, the system spoke. Its mechanical voice echoed throughout the entire gym, not only inside Silas’s head. Everyone heard it. Raymond almost collapsed when he heard it. It sounded like a god was speaking to him.

[Emergency Evolution Sequence Detected.]

The room froze. Anna’s eyes widened in shock. She had seen it project words before, but not speech. It sounded nothing like those configured systems, but... divine.

"We can hear it?"

Silas barely managed to nod despite the pain.

"I... told you... my system... talks too much..."

Even now, he found the strength to complain. Nobody laughed. The atmosphere was too tense.

[Warning.]

[First Wing Awakening has commenced.]

[Evolution cannot be interrupted.]

[Interference may result in fatal consequences.]

A heartbeat later...

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!

Pink mana erupted from Silas’s body. It didn’t flow like mana normally would, but exploded, causing the entire gym to shake violently. Every window shattered, and the newly installed awakened-grade equipment groaned beneath the pressure.

Raymond stumbled backward.

"What... what kind of mana..."

Even Gromda instinctively stepped back. The pressure wasn’t hostile. It was ancient and overwhelming, like standing before something that simply shouldn’t exist.

Silas’s body rose several inches from the ground. Pink threads began spiraling around him. Thousands... No. Millions.

Each thread glowed brighter than the last as they intertwined into an enormous cocoon around him. Then the system spoke again.

[Protective Measures Authorized.]

Every person present instinctively looked upward. The air cracked as space itself rippled. A translucent pink barrier spread outward from Silas before expanding across the entire gym, then the estate, then farther.

It resembled countless glowing threads weaving themselves into an enormous dome.

[Barrier Constructed.]

[Objective: Prevent collateral damage.]

Anna felt the pressure disappear instantly.

"It blocked everything..."

Raymond touched the barrier cautiously. His fingers stopped a few centimeters before reaching it. It was invisible, yet undeniably present.

Outside, birds suddenly stopped singing. The wind disappeared, and even the trees surrounding the estate became perfectly still. Nature itself seemed to pause.

Inside the cocoon...

CRAAAAAAACK!!

Silas screamed louder than ever before. The left side of his back split open. It did not happen violently, but almost... gracefully.

Pink light poured from the opening, instead of blood. It was only light... endless light. His muscles trembled uncontrollably, his bones shifted. Every cell inside his body was changing.

The sensation wasn’t merely painful anymore. It felt... Transcendent. As though something buried inside his very existence had finally awakened after sleeping for countless ages.

The system continued speaking.

[Bloodline Synchronization...]

[52%...]

[61%...]

[74%...]

Silas couldn’t respond. He couldn’t think. His entire consciousness had been swallowed by pain and instinct. Deep inside his mind, he heard something—a heartbeat.

It was not his own, but a second heartbeat. Then... a whisper, so ancient that no language could properly describe it.

"Rise..."

Silas’s eyes snapped open suddenly. They no longer glowed pink. They had become pure white.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!

The cocoon burst open, and a pillar of pink light erupted straight into the heavens. It tore through the roof of the gym as though it didn’t exist. The ceiling vanished... concrete, steel, glass... The beam passed through everything without damaging any of it.

It simply ignored matter. The pillar continued climbing, past the clouds, past commercial flight altitude, and higher and higher still.

From downtown New Liberty, people stopped walking.

"What..." A businessman dropped his briefcase.

A child pointed toward the sky. "Mom... Look!"

Across the city, traffic came to a complete stop. Every driver stared upward. Television stations immediately interrupted programming.

"What is that?!"

Military bases activated emergency protocols. Satellite arrays automatically turned toward the enormous column of pink light.

Within minutes, every country on Earth had noticed it. News stations exploded into chaos.

"A mysterious energy pillar has appeared over New Liberty!"

"We’re receiving reports from neighboring countries that it can be seen hundreds of miles away!"

"No..."

A scientist watching from an observatory slowly removed his glasses. "Thousands."

Even neighboring continents could see the impossible light decorating the horizon. Across the oceans, ships stopped moving. Airliners reported visual confirmation.

Astronauts aboard an orbital station silently stared through reinforced glass.

One whispered, "Beautiful..."

Back at the Ashard Estate, the barrier shook, not from instability, but from power. Inside the pillar, countless glowing pink feathers materialized. They drifted gently around Silas before vanishing into particles of light.

The system’s voice became almost... reverent.

[Heartweaver Bloodline...]

[First Wing...]

[Manifestation Beginning.]

The bulge behind Silas’s shoulder finally broke free. A feather emerged, pure pink and radiant. Then another and another. Hundreds followed. Each one seemed woven from glowing silk and threads of fate themselves.

Slowly, painfully, and majestically, a single enormous wing unfolded behind Silas. Every feather shimmered with delicate runic patterns that continuously shifted like flowing constellations.

The wing stretched wider. Ten feet... fifteen, up to twenty feet. Its brilliance eclipsed the gym itself. Everyone stared in absolute silence. Alpha had forgotten how to breathe.

Gromda’s mouth slowly fell open. "Beautiful..."

Chloe unconsciously reached toward the glowing feathers, but she stopped herself just before touching them.

Anna whispered, "So this is what an SSS-Rank truly looks like."

"SSS-Rank?" Raymond asked in confusion when he heard what Anna said. "Isn’t Mr. Ashard an S-Rank? What is SSS-Rank?"

Everyone ignored him.

The system gave one final notification.

[Congratulations!]

[First Heartweaver Wing Successfully Awakened.]

[Evolution Complete.]

The pillar of light remained... illuminating the heavens like a second dawn.
