SSS Awakening: I Can Grant Legendary Classes To Others
Chapter 66 | Massive Profits, Acquiring the Small Spatial Ring[Name: Mia Cinder]
[Race: Human]
[Level: 23]
[Potential: Excellent.]
’As expected, all of their potentials are top-notch across the human race,’ Alicar thought, his expression unchanged. ’Though not quite enough for me to consider recruiting them.’
Alicar didn’t even know what determined potential, after all, if he saw the group of individuals before him and Leon when they first met, he would have assumed that Leon had an average potential at best, yet he had a "Supreme" one.
’Hm...’ Alicar scratched his chin, pondering the mystery. ’Oh well.’
The "Prodigies" of the Awakener Association were met with a round of applause from the gathered crowd, and all of them simply grinned widely, basking in the attention.
"Don’t worry people," Daan said with a smile, raising his hand to quiet the crowd. "We will get rid of the Wendigo for all of you, and continue onward to eliminate all the threats that plague this region!"
"The Awakener Association has started to look into the matter of the goblins as well, and humanity will not allow them to act freely any longer," Alex roared, boosting everyone’s motivation in the crowd with his commanding voice. "Humans will rise above all!"
"Anyway," Edwin coughed to attract the attention back to him as he spoke to the four prodigies, his voice carrying a note of reluctant respect. "The expedition will begin tomorrow at 10 a.m., so be there."
"It’ll be a cake walk," Levi stretched his arms, grabbing his bow which was glowing with a dark aura that pulsed with power. "One arrow and the Wendigo will be gone!"
"I can also block it using a Cage of Bone to make it easier," Alex nodded with an excited expression, his hands already crackling with energy.
Meanwhile, Edwin simply mumbled something incomprehensible before heading back inside, leaving the crowd to surround the "prodigies" and shower them with praise and questions.
"These guys must be really strong, huh," Leon spoke, his voice low so only Alicar could hear. "But, I still think we’re stronger!"
"Who knows," Alicar shrugged, his expression unreadable. "Though I don’t plan to give them the kill of the Wendigo, I need that corpse."
"Then we have until tomorrow to grow strong enough to be able to take it," Leon said as he looked at the exit of the base, his eyes gleaming with determination. "I think we should have enough with all those corpses for what you wanted to do."
"Yeah, sure, also we still need to find Iris," Alicar added, a hint of concern creeping into his voice.
Leon and Alicar headed back toward the gate of the Ironhold Base, their steps purposeful and determined.
It seemed like Daan, Levi and Alex hadn’t noticed Alicar’s presence, which worked perfectly in his favor, allowing him to move undetected.
They believed they would be able to defeat the Wendigo and bring back its corpse to claim the bounty and prove themselves to the Awakener Association once and for all.
This could give them benefits like better items, and even a VIP card to the Trading Centre with exclusive access to rare goods.
Plus, since the Awakener Association also had some authority over the Second Layer and above alongside other races, it meant a much easier time overall for their future progression.
Either way, they traveled through the portal, their bodies dissolving into light.
Ding!
[You are about to leave the First Layer.]
Fwoosh!
And after a few seconds of being transported through the void, Alicar emerged on the other side of the gate he had taken to arrive in the First Layer, his feet landing on solid ground.
Leon seemed to have taken another gate as he hadn’t appeared beside Alicar, but it didn’t matter, they would meet up at the Trading Centre.
He headed toward the Trading Centre, weaving through the crowd, where he met up with the man, and they entered the building together.
On the Second Floor, they met up with Brian, who welcomed them warmly and asked them to follow him to the same empty room with grey walls and a powerful forcefield around it for privacy.
Leon placed all the monster corpses he gathered on the ground, including the Goblin Commander, and Alicar let out the cores he had stored in his ring.
"A Goblin Commander?!" Brian’s eyes widened, his jaw dropping in shock. "That’s... incredible, these things are causing a lot of problems lately."
Brian began to inspect everything, his eyes glowing faintly as well as using some sort of device to analyze every item with professional precision.
Alicar felt like Brian was much more talented when it came to such a job than the Awakener Association believed, his skills wasted on a lower floor.
In a few minutes only, he had noted everything and spoke with a satisfied smile.
"$427,000 for all of this," Brian smiled, his voice filled with genuine admiration. "That’s an incredible haul but unfortunately many of the corpses were heavily destroyed, and the Goblin Commander’s armor and core aren’t there. Still, how do you want to divide all of it?"
Hearing that, Alicar’s expression froze in place, and he couldn’t help but let out a small laugh at the unexpected sum.
"Just give half to each of us," Alicar said with a grin, his voice light. "It’s more than enough for me right now."
"Very well," Brian tapped into his terminal, initiating the transfer, which arrived almost immediately with a soft chime.
[Current Balance: $252,907]
Afterward, Alicar said goodbye to Brian and quickly rushed to the Fourth Floor where he found the ring he had been eyeing for so long.
[Small Spatial Ring]
[Tier: 1]
[Rank: B]
[Description: A storage ring with a dimensional pocket measuring 5x5x5 meters in dimensions, meaning you can store as many things as fit into the dimensional pocket. The pocket is stable and secure, protecting its contents from damage and decay.]
[Price: $240,000]
Without hesitation, he bought it, handing over the funds with barely a second thought, meaning that Alicar wouldn’t have to worry about his space any longer.
He still wouldn’t be able to store a corpse as large as the Sun Beast, but several Goblin Commander-sized monsters and other creatures would fit in just fine.
With that, Alicar was dead broke once again, but he didn’t care much, the investment was worth it.
