Orcs, a race who boasts about their physical prowess. Using magical energy, they can evolve their body to even higher levels. Whatever they want, they will use their brute force.
Getting a piece of land? Using brute force.
Becoming a leader? Using brute force.
Getting a woman? Using brute force.
They were a pure patriarchal society where women had no value except for producing more warriors for them. They also hate decency and mannerism. They were pure manly beings who would be loved by many radical youngsters on earth.
In short, they were the complete opposite of current humanity. In here, women might take left and right for marriage, but that was it. It was essential for human survival. Other than this, women had complete freedom to do anything they wanted, as they were seen as the quintessential pillar for the continuation of humanity.
So, it was expected the orc would act like this, hearing Nyxia’s berate and lashing out on her for being a woman.
However, the main thing was, why is there an orc in the capital to begin with? And how could it be in human form so perfectly?
Nyxia heard Pooland’s confusion and wanted to answer him, but then she noticed several weird glances from the surroundings.
A realization hit her suddenly: if that orc could transform like a human, so could the others here.
"Oh no! Let’s run!" Nyxia warned Pooland.
Pooland saw Nyxia’s worry and followed her gaze. He, too, understood immediately.
However, instead of running away, he stood firm in his spot and looked at everyone in a grave tone. "Don’t tell me everyone here is an orc?"
A man walked ahead of everyone, giving Pooland and Nyxia a murderous gaze. "You two made a mistake. You can’t be left alive."
Afterwards, Nyxia and Pooland watched everyone becoming an orc, even the staff members. The men were still ugly-looking, but the women had seductive and lustful figures. Except for being fit with bulging muscles and short canine teeth growing upwards, they were almost like humans.
"The staff members too!? Then that means..." Pooland’s eyes widened in shock thinking of whom his brother was having sexual intercourse.
Nyxia also understood that and gritted her teeth in anger. "YOU! You tricked my husband!"
Nyxia didn’t care with whom Leon slept, but he could never do with the enemy race! That is the teaching passed down by the ancestors of humanity—never show any or have any positive interaction with the enemy!
"Tricked you, husband?" The leading orc tilted his head in confusion before saying. "Whatever, none of you can leave here with your breath left."
"Hmph!" Pooland scoffed. "You brutes have lost your mind. Do you understand where we are? We are the heart of humanity! None of you will see the light of day tomorrow!"
A simple clash between them would alert everyone, and there was no shortage of powerful people in the capital.
"Don’t underestimate us. We took on this mission knowing we would lose our lives. We are ready to die today. But we will take you two down with us for foiling our plan." The leading orc smirked as he and others advanced toward Nyxia and Pooland. Many others were also coming downstairs.
"We will foil every plan of yours. Especially one in the underground." Nyxia countered back, not worrying about their safety.
"What!?" Every orc present had their eyes widen in shock. The base underground was hidden by a special formation. The underground base was the main force, while the inn acted as a facade. If their activity ever gets caught, they would face the brunt of it, and that was why only weaklings like them were left here, with the highest being the leading orc—Adept-Rank.
Only those who know the lock and those who could see the formation would be able to notice the underground base. This was why Leon’s eyes faced the backlash.
This woman wasn’t stronger than anyone present, An Adept-Rank, just like the leading rank. So she must have used an item to peer through it.
"You woman. You can’t be left alive!" The leading orc said, causing everyone to rush at them. No matter what, they have to kill these two before other stronger humans arrive. If not, all of their hard work will be for naught.
Meanwhile, Pooland too was in shock hearing this, as it was earth-shattering news that could shake up the capital. Additionally, he couldn’t understand why his sister-in-law told this in front of them; now they have to fight tooth and nail against them.
Watching the orcs rushing at them, Nyxia smiled as if she was in no danger. Instead, she said to Pooland’s worried face. "Don’t worry. Our big bro is here."
"Big bro..." Pool didn’t understand it at first, but then his mind clicked. "You mean!"
"You audacious beasts!" A huge roar shook the Asterhold district, waking everyone up from their slumber.
Step, step, step.
The orcs halted in their footsteps, watching the figure walking towards them in rage. Every step he took left a burning footprint. His body let out of extreme heat, resulting in the air vibrating.
The orcs began to sweat. Not of the heat, but of the fear.
He stood in front of Nyxia and Pooland, shielding them from the orcs’ eyes.
"I knew Big Brother was always here for us." Nyxia said with a sweet smile, admiring the man before her.
"Commander...you are here." Pooland was a bit speechless, seeing his commander’s entrance.
Aldric said without turning back. "You guys did a great job. Now leave the rest to me."
"Hehehe... you guys are dead." Nyxia chuckled, looking at the cowering orcs. Some of their legs were already giving up. However, another thought came into my mind. "Big Brother, Leon might be in danger too."
Aldric looked above and answered nonchalantly. "Don’t worry about him. He can handle himself."
Upstairs, at Cynthia’s cabin.
"Oh my! What a turn of events." Leon laughed helplessly as he dressed up as fast as he could. His eyes were locked on the woman before him with worry and awkwardness.
