The family of three enjoyed a healthy breakfast provided by the inn.

After the meal, Jackson stopped Mother Rose before she could get up.

Mother Rose had a confused look on her face as she looked at Jackson, wondering what he wanted.

It was then she heard Jackson’s words, and a slightly stunned expression appeared on her face. Thinking she had misheard, she asked him to repeat himself again.

Jackson looked at Mother Rose with a forced smile and had no choice but to repeat his words.

"Mother, if you are free, then join me in finding a house..."

At first, Mother Rose had the urge to pull her son’s ears for joking with her. She wanted to say, Do you even know the price of property? People like us could work for a millennium and not even afford the ground for our burial, let alone a plot of land. But seeing the confident look on his face, she swallowed those words and stayed silent.

Internally, however, her thoughts surged. Maybe after earning a bit of money on his own, he had grown confident. Hmm... maybe it’s not bad. I can take this as an opportunity to show him reality.

Little Aella just looked at the two briefly, then focused once again on her notebook. Today was the day when she would start practicing the body-refining skill taught by the dojo. Little Aella wanted to prepare herself beforehand and not make any mistakes.

She really wasn’t too concerned with where they lived, as long as the three of them could be together.

After dropping little Aella at the training dojo—Lion and Tiger Dojo, a low-key place with not too many people—Mother Rose and Jackson moved together.

"Golden Radiance Education District...!"

Mother Rose looked at her surroundings and could not help but exclaim in surprise, her tone filled with suppressed emotions.

Golden Radiance Education District got its name after the Golden Radiance Academy, one of the elite academies of humanity. A top educational institution in the entire sector, there were countless academies in the sector, but none could come close to Golden Radiance Academy in terms of resources and ability to nurture generations of talent.

Jackson heard her exclaiming and didn’t say anything. He wanted to buy a house close to the academy, so that he could visit his family during the weekend.

If others were to hear his thoughts, they would have simply laughed it off and asked if he was even qualified.

As of now, Jackson was miles away from the peak of the First Sequence.

However, Jackson’s thoughts were completely different. In his mind, a future where he could join the elite academy didn’t just exist—it was something he intended to seize.

None of the two spoke as they found themselves standing in front of a broker, a tall female dressed in tight-fitting clothes.

Even though Jackson and Mother Rose were standing right in front of her, the broker treated them as if she couldn’t see them.

Noticing this utter disregard, Jackson could not help but frown.

Still swallowing his displeasure for now, he took a deep breath and said,

"Excuse me. My mother and I would like to purchase a house. Would you be interested in showing us around?"

These words finally forced the female broker to shift her attention to the son-and-mother pair.

Her eyes were like that of a predatory hawk, and she scanned the two from top to bottom. Looking at their normal woolen clothing, a smile appeared on the broker’s face, finding the situation quite amusing. Then the way she looked at Jackson changed from disregard to pity.... labelling him as mentally challenged.

How could he not tell what she was thinking, Just as Jackson was beginning to feel furious, he watched the female broker turn to Mother Rose and say in a pitiful tone, as if asking how she had raised a mentally challenged kid like this:

"Raising a child like this must be hard on you..."

Mother Rose’s face was already dark as charcoal. How could she not understand what the broker was trying to say?

Suddenly she regretted going along with Jackson. Only if she had spoken earlier, her son would not have to be humiliated like this.

How could Jackson not know what was going through the broker’s head?

The next moment, his face turned extremely calm. He turned his attention to the other broker who had been keeping an eye on them.

When he noticed he had been seen, the broker immediately rushed closer.

Compared to the woman, this broker was pretty young, seemingly having joined the firm recently.

The woman broker also noticed this and left after coldly snorting.

The young broker didn’t seem to care about the woman, but instead bowed slightly to Jackson with a smile.

"Sir, please don’t take Mrs. Frost’s words to heart. She can speak too rudely..."

Jackson, however, didn’t seem to care what the young man had to say. Ignoring everything, he simply asked:

"How much?"

The young man instantly responded to those words. As a salesman, he had developed instinctive responses to certain questions.

"One million mana stones."

The woman who had gone too far stopped when she heard those words from behind and immediately turned to look at Jackson with a peculiar expression.

She wanted to see just what reaction this man would have to that sum.

To be honest, she hated these kinds of people who didn’t know their place in society.

Wanting to buy a house... buy my foot.

Even she herself could only dream of purchasing a house in the Golden District, not to say something about this mother-and-son duo.

Jackson swallowed the anger that was threatening to erupt. At this moment he had the urge to convert all the battle points into mana stones and buy the house right there and then.

Just what did this woman think she was, to walk all over his face like this?

But it was only with sheer force of will that he was able to stop himself.

Meanwhile, the young man did his best to diffuse the situation. He was familiar with Mrs. Frost’s behavior. She was just like this; there was nothing he could do about her.

Then under his lead, Jackson and Mother Rose visited multiple houses, each better than the last. Jackson saw Mother Rose’s eyes light up when they stopped in front of a two-story house with a small garden filled with multicolored flowers.

Jackson saw this scene and remembered: when he was young, Mother Rose liked gardening, but as her children grew, she had less and less time for plants.

Making a note of the property, he took the young broker’s contact information and left.

The young broker didn’t think much of this. Every day there would be multiple such cases.

It would be a miracle if even a single one of these people returned to purchase the house.

The young broker didn’t have much hope.

Meanwhile, returning back to the inn, Jackson stayed silent. Mother Rose looked at this scene and didn’t know what to say.

She knew today’s events would be enough to calm Jackson’s heart. Although she felt bad for her son, this was just reality.

Jackson didn’t know what she was thinking, but his mind was already working at full speed, thinking of all the ways to earn a million mana stones in a week.
