"Where are you taking us, Jackson...?"
Several days had passed since the accident at the dojo. On this particular day, Jackson finally decided it was time to take his family out of the inn and settle them into the new home he had purchased some time ago.
Naturally, he hadn’t told Mother Rose anything about it.
He had deliberately kept the entire thing a secret, intending to give her a surprise.
Mother Rose walked beside him while holding little Aella’s hand. She looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings with growing confusion, her eyes constantly moving from one building to another.
Then, as they continued forward, something suddenly clicked in her mind.
"Isn’t this the Golden Radiance District? What are we doing here...?"
Compared to the day of the accident, Aella had almost completely recovered. Other than the corruption still wrapped around her left arm, her body had already returned to peak condition, and she was once again full of energy.
Before Jackson could answer his mother, however, Aella suddenly spoke.
"Golden Radiance District... isn’t this where Morina lives? Are we going to meet her?"
During their previous conversations, Aella had heard her friend mention this place countless times. Morina had even invited her over several times to play, though the two girls had never gotten the opportunity.
Hearing her words, Jackson merely smiled without giving an answer.
He continued walking until they finally arrived in front of a familiar building.
A small garden surrounded the house, its neatly arranged plants and quiet atmosphere standing in sharp contrast to the chaos that had engulfed the sector only a few days ago.
"Hm?"
Mother Rose looked at the building in surprise.
"Isn’t this the same house we saw last time? Why are we visiting this place again?"
Jackson was just about to answer when his gaze suddenly shifted.
Three people were standing outside his newly purchased house.
A couple stood together near the entrance, while beside them was a woman dressed in tight-fitting clothes.
Jackson’s eyes narrowed slightly.
He recognized that woman.
Mrs. Frost.
Although he had only met her briefly before, her appearance was familiar enough for him to recognize her immediately.
He slowed his steps as faint voices drifted toward him from ahead.
From their conversation, Jackson quickly realized what was happening.
Mrs. Frost was talking about his house.
More precisely, she seemed to be discussing the property as though it still belonged to someone else.
Apparently, she still hadn’t realized that the house had already been sold.
To him.
Although Mrs. Frost had gone overboard the last time they had met, and Jackson still carried some resentment toward her, he had no intention of creating a scene in front of his family. Especially not in front of Aella.
He didn’t want his little sister’s first day in their new home to be ruined by some pointless argument.
So, with a calm expression, Jackson walked toward the trio and spoke politely.
"Gentlemen, would you please step aside and allow us to enter our home?"
The couple exchanged confused glances.
For a moment, neither seemed to understand what they had just heard. They had been listening to Mrs. Frost explain the property only moments ago, yet now someone had suddenly appeared and calmly claimed that the house already belonged to him.
Both of them turned toward Mrs. Frost, their eyes silently demanding an explanation.
Jackson could already guess what was going through her mind from the sneer slowly forming on her face.
She was clearly about to say something.
Before she could open her mouth, however, Jackson casually flicked his wrist.
A property deed appeared in his hand.
He unfolded it and held it out where all three could clearly see his name written upon it. His expression remained completely calm as he looked at the couple.
"Gentlemen, this is a very special day for my family. I would be very grateful if you all would take your leave and allow us to enjoy this moment in private."
His voice was neither aggressive nor confrontational.
Behind him stood Mother Rose and Aella, both waiting quietly.
The couple glanced at the deed, then at Jackson’s family, and finally back toward Mrs. Frost.
They quickly understood what had happened.
As prospective buyers themselves, they could naturally understand the feeling. If they had finally purchased a home and were about to celebrate that moment with their family, the last thing they would want was for a stranger to suddenly appear and turn the occasion into an argument.
Neither of them wanted to become involved in someone else’s dispute.
After exchanging a brief glance, they politely excused themselves and quickly left.
"You...!"
Mrs. Frost’s face turned red with fury.
Her carefully arranged deal had been ruined in an instant.
She had managed to convince the couple to pay a full two million mana stones for the house. Since the property had only been listed for one million, the remaining million would have gone directly into her own pocket.
And now this country bumpkin had appeared out of nowhere and destroyed everything.
Of course, Mrs. Frost already knew that the house had been allocated to Jackson.
But so what?
In her mind, she had already found a way to profit from it.
Her eyes practically burned with hatred as she glared at Jackson.
If looks could kill, Jackson would probably have died a thousand times already.
Yet despite the murderous glare directed at him, Jackson remained completely unmoved.
After sending the couple away, it was finally Mrs. Frost’s turn.
"Mrs. Frost, please leave."
Jackson’s tone remained calm, but there was no room for negotiation in his voice.
He then turned his attention toward Mother Rose and Aella, who had been standing behind him with stunned expressions.
Mother Rose had watched Jackson take out the property deed and show it to the couple, yet even after seeing it with her own eyes, she still found it difficult to believe.
This two-story house...
It was actually theirs.
As if guessing what was going through her mind, Jackson smiled.
"Now, Mother, you no longer have to move from house to house. We finally have a proper home of our own."
