Li Hao frowned slightly upon seeing the Calamity master fly into another rage and launch himself in a new attack. We’re on Skyward, where you’re an outsider. What are you interfering for?
You and the Skyward master must really have a good relationship. Under normal circumstances, people don’t stick their necks out for someone they have a mediocre relationship with. The other people who attacked us were cultivators under Skyward’s banner.
You are... the master of calamity dao. It’s just a blow to your dignity that you’re getting involved.
The Calamity master materialized a spear of thunder and lightning. Space around it seemed to collapse and endless calamities rushed toward them.
Mountains toppled, earth fissured, seas dried up, stones rotted, the world fell apart, plague and disease rampaged out of control...
The scent of armageddon wafted out.
“You are only eighth rank.” The remote Calamity master finally seemed to be taking everything seriously. “You might be strong in the future. Perhaps there are no ninth ranks in that age. Or perhaps we are not part of the age you belong to! Therefore, you do not know that ninth rank is not a level you can match!
“Today, you will be shown what it truly means to be a ninth rank!”
The spear stabbed forward!
It ripped into the void and endless dao strength materialized. Great daos roared like dragons as they came alive. The premises turned into a cage to imprison Li Hao’s river, so he could be executed on the spot!
The spear was calamity itself. It was sharp without parallel and extremely formidable. Li Hao was just thinking of utilizing the sword of time when the Human King suddenly shouted in the young man’s mind, “Let me!”
The others had more or less demonstrated their might in the field. He was such a domineering person, but he hadn’t been able to show anything of his capabilities.
Countless new ideas flooded Li Hao’s mind. A world appeared in the air a moment later—the tangible representation of New Martial!
It was also the foundation of the Human King’s inner world.
Innumerable shadows appeared. They were all the Human King. They paid homage to the real article. His self was dao and he was the grandmaster of dao!
The vicinity seemed to transform into the New Martial world of Yin and Yang. When Li Hao’s longsword struck, the ten thousand shadows congregated together. He was dao!
Bam!
The spear paused, giving Li Hao time to draw close and swing his fist. The Human King was invincible in close quarters. Or that was what the man claimed, anyhow.
Shadowy figures blurred from his hand’s movements like he was suddenly a divine entity with ten thousand arms. He grasped the spear with his bare hands, capturing the dragons of great dao. Li Hao’s blood qi shot viciously into the sky, leaving deep imprints behind on the spear.
The great dao howled!
The dao of calamity roared with fury!
Close quarters combat!
The Calamity master snarled with indignation and swung his spear at Li Hao again. At the same time, a child’s giggling filled the air. The look in Li Hao’s eyes shifted again!
His body spontaneously combusted and seasons passed!
The spear in front of him withered away while the young man emitted a cicada’s cry. Everywhere it passed through was silenced. Even Li Hao himself was instantly silenced. Everything was reduced to dust!
Naturally the spear was shortened from the damage it received when even Li Hao flew apart as dust. The Calamity master’s eyes widened with horror!
The dao of withering and flourishing?! Why was it so strong??
As for his opponent being the end of himself... that held for only a split second. Dried up trees welcomed spring as Li Hao’s body was reborn from fire.
“I have withered and flourished for eight hundred thousand years!” rang Spring Autumn’s voice in the young man’s mind. “Have him kill me eight hundred thousand times!”
Or I shall remain undying!
Li Hao clucked his tongue. Seriously??
He swiftly came to his senses and almost cursed the little girl. One instance cost thirty percent of my energy! Stop bluffing!
But okay, okay, you’re very scary. I need to kill you at least three or four times if I really want to end you!
She could spontaneously bring something to winter or raise it to spring again! Somehow... this seemed stronger than the dao of life and death.
The dao of calamity was a full segment shorter than before. The Calamity master flew into a great rage as his foundations had been damaged in the last clash. He hadn’t thought that the person in front of him would have so many tricks up his sleeves and be so ruthless!
“Damn it!” He rushed forward, despite the shortened length of his spear.
Everyone had demonstrated formidable dao strength, but it was Li Hao in control of his body. The young man took a deep breath and sent the world spinning.
The river of the world appeared with the great dao coiled over it. Countless dao domains materialized. The four powerhouses were in residence on the four sides. Li Hao’s sword suddenly swung down—not at Calamity, but at the void of the chaos.
He seemed to wish to attack chaos dao.
“Open!” It was his first time uttering a word. He boomed like a bell, shaking the world and four cardinal directions.
His sword seemed to hew through time itself, crashing into chaos dao with a dull roar.
Time shook, like it wanted to establish a chaos and new world here!
RUMBLE!
Chaos dao swung and shook, spitting out endless spirit. Even the dao of calamity in front of him shuddered.
The ninth ranks on the ground below blinked, then erupted in an outraged uproar. Even Skyward frowned and abruptly disappeared. It’d only been for a split second, but the space that the interloper occupied had momentarily been isolated from the chaos.
The Skyward master quickly repaired the crack in chaos dao inflicted by the sword. He frowned at Li Hao, saying calmly, “Does the fellow daoist come from a later age? No matter where you are from, why damage chaos dao?
“The dao is the root of the chaos and the source of life... it is the foundation of the chaos. Even if you create another chaos, you must attach yourself to this dao. How can you willfully damage it like this?”
He didn’t bring a domineering air to bear, but he did indicate displeasure in his tone.
Li Hao’s sword had been tinged with time and shouldn’t have been able to harm chaos dao, but time seemed to be one with the chaos. It’d somehow reached beyond and inflicted an injury.
Li Hao was highly satisfied!
As I thought!
I guessed that if the chaos possessed a source of life, then it would have something to do with chaos dao. I don’t dare experiment in my era, but here, it doesn’t matter.
It really is here!
He’d shaken the chaos with one blow and caused even Skyward to take some restraining action. Li Hao knew that if he didn’t run soon, he might not be able to get away.
But the Calamity master in front of him didn’t seem willing to let the interloper go. He seemed to be highly irritated...
Li Hao laughed softly. You’re a guest who’s stuck his nose in far too many things. Calamity?
Very good, try mine on for size!
A supernatural character emerged; the star of time burrowed into it, bringing the four powerhouses with it. The ferocious tiger was in the lead and furious emotions flared. An immense strength of desire manifested.
Desire!
A peculiar strength appeared in front of the Calamity master—the peak of desire. Some of the daos in his dao of calamity outright snapped in this moment!
The man started. How was this possible?? Even if the enemy also cultivated calamity, each person’s dao was different even if they were of the same attribute...
But now...
He suddenly understood!
“Your calamity...” he howled. Your calamity stems from me! Isn’t that so?! Are you my disciple??
Impossible! So who are you?!
Li Hao’s dao of calamity was exactly the same and not one he’d cultivated himself. It was a kind of heritage, which made their two daos exactly the same.
And here he’d thought that there were differences!
His great dao actually chipped in this moment. The Calamity master was incensed from genuine emotion and interference from the dao of desire. He began to lose control, which was something that should not occur to ninth ranks.
However, Li Hao’s dao of desire was formidable and he’d damaged some of the dao of calamity. His sword flashed out!
The spear crumbled with a snap!
The sword stabbed forward, into the Calamity master’s chest! The man grunted, his face mottled with rage. He roared and summoned endless dao strength, blasting the longsword to pieces!
The Calamity master wanted to attack again, but Li Hao’s voice rang out, “I’m just here to pay a visit to the various seniors. This has been enough. Time cannot be destroyed, you will need me in the future...”
Calamity was just about to throw himself into a mindless charge when the Skyward master’s eyes widened and he grunted, “Stop!”
Calamity’s face twitched, but he stopped.
Li Hao smiled once more, not saying anything else since time was being heavily affected. He took another look at the Skyward master, then at the exalted emperors in the surroundings. The young man retreated into the river with a final smile!
The river began to flow backwards.
A variety of emotions flashed across the Skyward master’s face. Calamity remained incensed and suddenly punched out with sizzling electricity.
“That bastard!” he raged. “He should be smote to death whenever he uses time in the future! Wherever time is will be where my tribulations descend!”
His words were law!
The great dao seemed to be bequeathed a dao rule—the daos of ninth ranks all had spirit.
Skyward frowned faintly, but settled down with peace of mind. If the young man couldn’t endure even some tribulations, then he was not fit to wield time.
With how enraged Calamity was, no wonder he would issue a command like this.
......
At the same time, one million years later.
Present day, deep within the chaos.
Statues situated in a place of endless great dao suddenly opened their eyes at the same time. Something new had appeared in all of their memories.
“I see!” thundered the Calamity master. There was something new in his mind that hadn’t been present a moment ago! “No wonder... no wonder I had thunder tribulations test time for no reason at all... And I thought...”
He fell silent with grave foreboding, then looked into the distance. “So his Allheaven Hall has gathered those people together, reversed time, and traveled back to the past...”
That was incredible!
“Chaos Sky... order?” said Calamity when another thought struck him.
“He’s very bold!” commented other exalted emperors in the surroundings. “The second generation wielder of time is an ingrate!”
“That’s crazy! They reversed time to travel to the past!”
“Order... Chaos Sky has something to do with order!”
“And Long Zhan might have something to do with the spirit of the chaos...”
“Spring Autumn focuses on the dao of withering, so she’s not a concern...” Although they’d formed their speculations while observing the chaos, they hadn’t been certain enough to draw any conclusions.
Everything was possible today.
