Chapter 2051: Great Minds Think Alike (I)

Meh, Chaos Sky can do the offensive stuff. I don’t want any part of it.

Spring Autumn flashed out of sight again, as if the chaos was just another part of the cycle between withering and flourishing. She was nowhere to be seen in the blink of an eye.

......

On this day, the chaos went mad. And yet, the powerhouses all turned quiet. It was like they’d all disappeared after battle.

This was also the day in which the various overlords fully took their place on the stage. Tales of their might began to circulate through the chaos.

......

The chaos was incredibly quiet. A hustle and bustle was present only in Allheaven Hall. More and more cultivators were learning of its existence and becoming familiar with this mysterious land to discuss dao...

Alright, it wasn’t that mysterious. There were entrances to it everywhere.

The advertising effect of ten thousand exalted emperors benefitting from two instances of Li Hao borrowing strength was incredible. Allheaven Hall was widely known throughout the chaos. Even exalted emperors in the northern, southern, and western regions heard of it.

Some of the more powerful exalted emperors even went to the effort of crossing hundreds of millions of chaos kilometers, just so they could lay their own eyes on Allheaven Hall.

It was now that the chaos fully understood who were the true overlords in the chaos. There was New Martial in the east, Spring Autumn in the south, Chaos Sky in the west, and Five Elements in the north. Well, perhaps New Martial should count as the center. The true east was in the four regions, a place where chaos beasts reigned.

Silver Moon King Li Hao was the architect of Allheaven Hall. In the eyes of the public, he wasn’t an overlord. He was more like a teacher. Many exalted emperors hailed him as the dao master of the chaos.

He who passed on dao!

Li Hao naturally didn’t care about insubstantial titles like these and didn’t pay attention to them. He was busy crafting his own chaos system. He’d finished the embryos of theco fourth and fifth set of one thousand worlds, setting withering and flourishing, as well as order as their respective centers. The first three were centered around life and death, emptiness and revitalization, and desire.

Once he perfected the fifth set, he would truly reach the peak of existence. At least for now, there was no other exalted emperor with such an enormous appetite as to utilize worlds as their dao!

Setting one dao to one world wasn’t out of the reach of the Human King and the rest. It just caught too much to do so.

The resource expenditure boggled the mind!

Li Hao had killed so many powerhouses and seized so many worlds, yet he was still unable to complete the construction of these dao domains.

......

Within the river.

The river’s waters flowed continuously, providing a medium to surging dao strength. Endless dao strength also crashed toward Li Hao from the chaos.

The young man sat over the river, creating world after world. These minor worlds were illusory and intangible. He had a very deep grasp of dao and its comprehension now. Allheaven Hall had given him many ideas and much more understanding.

Worlds bloomed into being and were adjusted at appropriate moments. Li Hao also made modifications to some of the worlds that he’d created before. Each change raised massive waves in the water.

For the moment, only Number Two and the dao chess were observing within the river.

The dao chess was supplying dao comprehension, whereas Number Two’s mission was to replicate certain daos at any moment for Li Hao to experiment with. He wanted to see if he could combine certain daos.

Thanks to Number Two’s presence, Li Hao noticed that it was much easier to craft dao domains now. There were indeed unique advantages to the dao of duplication.

One could copy any dao they wished to try an integration with, but weren’t at liberty to dismantle the original dao. It didn’t matter how strong the product was, it was sufficient for experimental purposes.

Number Two watched quietly from its sprawled position over the river. Li Hao was much stronger and mature than before. He grew more ferocious as his great daos thundered with unstoppable momentum. But now... ninth ranks were starting to appear in the chaos. Could Li Hao make it past this challenge?

It was contemplating other things today as well, including War.

The cat was wondering if War had seen the future or not. Had he seen the annoyance that was never-ending battle? The Human King had said that War was irresponsible and refused to be dirtied by conflict, so he gave up on longevity.

Number Two had heard that judgment.

It’d wanted to protest, but the truth seemed to be proving that this was the case. War had simply been unwilling to accept the burden of unbounded troubles, so he’d chosen to leave.

That left all of the trials that occurred in New Martial for the Human King to handle. Meanwhile, the trials of the chaos... might have fallen to Li Hao.

Time...

Time was a good thing, and a bad thing.

Those ninth ranks seemed to dearly wish for Li Hao to use his dao to do something. They’d fully bared their fangs now. Could the young man make it past such a suffocating obstacle?

And establishing another chaos...

Li Hao’s battle strength would be enhanced to his current limits once he fully saturated his fifth set of one thousand. It would be very hard for him to improve again. Another massive battle of a similar scale would be required to produce enough energy for another set of one thousand.

So was it imperative to the young man that he proceed down this path?

Li Hao had always hoped that Silver Moon’s martial masters could swiftly develop their strength. But reality was demonstrating that too little time had elapsed. Creating his own chaos would be the only way to accelerate beyond the rest!

When a world was newly formed, time appeared, and a myriad of daos budded...

If large sums of cultivators participated at the same time, only then would that create an opportunity for Li Hao to speed past the rest and overtake some of the veterans. Hence, Number Two’s primary concern wasn’t whether or not Li Hao could perfect five thousand dao rules, since the cat was confident that there would be no issues with that!

It believed in Li Hao, that the matter could be easily done, because the young man was Li Hao.

Number Two was already worrying about what was to come.

The new chaos had to be established before the ninth ranks fully descended upon the chaos. Otherwise, such an opportunity would be hard to come by again. But if he did so, that was bound to lead to some backlash. Powerhouses within the chaos, heavyweights from ninth rank worlds, and even ninth rank replicas might force their way over.

In fact, ninth ranks might seek to return with their primary bodies!

That wasn’t out of the question. If it came down to it, they could just weaken their grasp of dao spirit and decrease their strength. That would still make them a right and proper eighth rank, one that rivaled Chaos Sky.

It was simply out of concern for their survival that the ninth ranks didn’t do so. Neither did they wish to die as a feeble version of themselves.

It wasn’t that they couldn’t return, but that a lack of spirit upon their return would mean that there would be no support for their strength. It would be such a grievous loss to die here, which was why there were no ninth ranks to be found.

The cat that’d blithely stayed out of all affairs was now starting to worry and fret over Li Hao’s future.

In addition...

If Li Hao gave up on time after creating his chaos, would that entail relinquishing all of the dao domains that’d taken so much effort to build up? Would he be all by his lonesome then?

How strong would he be with just his physical body?

Seventh rank? Or eighth?

He wouldn’t be as strong as he was now, that was for sure.

His Allheaven Hall would also become someone else’s. Perhaps that person from the future or someone else. Had Li Hao thought about any of this yet?

The eunuchs worried when the emperor was perfectly relaxed!

To be frank, Number Two really was very anxious. Sometimes it didn’t know what Li Hao was thinking of at all. The cat didn’t understand what was so bad about continuing to be the bearer of time.

War was dead, time had no master. No one would fight Li Hao for the dao, so why give it up?

For considerations of face? Did he not want to be labeled as War’s pawn?

But was that important?

If it was, would he give up overwhelming strength and an invincible dao just for the sake of face?

Number Two’s thoughts continued to run wild.

The seasons began to wither. The river fell silent, but reawakened in the blink of an eye. Li Hao sank into deep thought when he opened his eyes. The dao of withering and flourishing, emptiness and reawakening, life and death...

There were similarities between them all, but of course differences as well.

Spring Autumn’s withering and flourishing was extremely domineering. She died year after year, coming back to life after. It wasn’t the dao of life or death. The costs involved with resurrection were too high.

Withering and flourishing... was as if spring visiting an old tree. The imperial guard’s situation was what it referenced—the death of the father and inheritance by the son. It was a much less complicated situation that didn’t require too much of a price.

That was the difference between withering and flourishing versus life and death. Emptiness and revitalization were still what they originally wore, whereas withering and flourishing seemed more like new life. That was the difference between the two.

“Does Spring Autumn... really have eight hundred thousand replicas?”

One instance of withering and flourishing per year...

If Spring Autumn really did have eight hundred thousand of them, varying in degrees of strength, that would be flabbergasting!

If each replica had enough energy in them, where did all of the energy come from?

Or had she only left behind the bodies and the energy within would transfer, just as the imperial guard’s father had done so? Or perhaps the last generation guard for the Cat Palace had given all of its energy to the imperial guard?

“When Spring Autumn gave me this replica, she said that it was her strongest one. It’s at roughly initial eighth rank. Does this mean that her other replicas aren’t necessarily this strong and might be empty shells instead?

“Are all of the replicas in the same state as the supreme’s replicas and my own worlds—integrated with each other? Do all of the replicas cultivate the dao of withering and flourishing?”

Question after question popped into his mind. Thus far, he’d seen Long Zhan and Chaos Sky in action. He was very familiar with the Human King and had even met ninth ranks prior to this. It was only Spring Autumn that he knew only a little of.

For a winter cicada to make her way to present day... made her a formidable opponent not to underestimate.

“The seasons wither and flourish...” Li Hao sank into deep thought. Perhaps he didn’t understand this dao enough. Metamorphosing out of the past, replicas, withering and flourishing, where there is withering there must be flourishing...

Li Hao had only comprehended a bit of withering, but hadn’t truly grasped flourishing.

“Withering and flourishing... reawakening... emptiness...” mulled the young man. He stared at the core of the four thousand worlds, pondering other theories. Perhaps the key to the daos of withering and flourishing lay not in withering, but in flourishing.

Spring Autumn simply gave people the feeling that the dao of withering was formidable, but no one had ever witnessed the dao of flourishing before!
