But Green Lotus was no longer looking at the bird. Instead, he turned his attention to Hong Xia. “If Lu Yin and I join forces, we are capable of freeing Jiu Wen.”

A single moment’s thought was enough to make everything clear. The reason why Hong Xia was able to appear was because Jiu Wen had been trapped by Wang Wen’s power. Hong Xia believed that this battle would inevitably destroy the Trio, and once that happened, he might even have a way to prevent Jiu Wen from breaking seven anchors of his Path of Dispassion.

The basis of all of that was the destruction of the Human Trio. Without that, Hong Xia would not be able to stop Jiu Wen either.
