The mud doll stared at Lu Yin in a daze. How could this be? It had never dreamed that it would encounter this creature. Where is this? Am I not still near my home? Why is this creature here?

During the war against Obscura, this mud doll had stayed hidden, but at the very last moment, it had the misfortune of being the closest to a battlefield and had been sent to that battlefield by Lord Ni Bieluo via a bridge. The mud doll had been ordered to capture the creature who had defeated Ni Ren, as that creature was already severely injured and unable to even move.

Though terrified, the mud doll had no choice but to go.

The creature from back then was in front of the mud doll again. Previously, it had been utterly unwilling, but luckily, two enemy Immortal beings had suddenly appeared, which had allowed the mud doll to escape.

Ever since that war, it had not wanted to stray far from home. The Mudwater Dominion only had two mud dolls left. All the others were dead, and it did not want to die as well.

It had never expected that it would have the bad luck to run into this creature again.

"Take me to Ni Bieluo," Lu Yin ordered.

The mud doll very much wanted to refuse, but that was not possible. Its instincts forced it to obey. By the time it returned to its senses, the immense Mudwater Dominion was right before it.

Lu Yin casually tossed the mud doll aside. There was no need to kill it. Such a creature was not worth increasing his karmic chain over.

It could be said that Lu Yin was already experiencing the frustration of every Immortal.

Before him, the incomparably vast dominion shocked him. Was this Ni Bieluo's dominion? It was far larger than Lu Yin had imagined. It was like a monster lying across the Aevum Inch. Its size was actually comparable to that of an entire megaverse.

That meant that this particular dominion was a megaverse. The only difference was that it lacked a Mother Tree.

Lu Yin's arrival drew attention. An Immortal stepped out immediately to confront Lu Yin. Its aura indicated that it was very strong. To Lu Yin, it did not feel much weaker than Ni Ren, which indicated that it should be one of the Mudwater Dominion’s most powerful experts.

"Human civilization’s Lu Yin?"

Lu Yin sized up the Mudwater Dominion being before him. "I really can’t tell any of you apart. Each and every one of you looks like a mud doll. What’s your name?"

Those words angered this being. Mud dolls were the Mudwater Dominion's bait used for fishing, so such a comment was beyond insulting.

However, it managed to suppress its anger. "My name is Ni Da."

Staring at Lu Yin, Ni Da was on the thinnest edge. This human gave it a feeling that was difficult to shake. This had to be an absolute powerhouse. It was no wonder why Ni Bieluo had sent Ni Da out to dismiss this human. If this human did not possess some level of strength, he would have been immediately recorded.

"Ni Da? How do you compare to Ni Ren?"

"Ni Ren is second only to Ni Bieluo, while I am second only to Ni Ren."

"Then you’re not qualified. Have Ni Bieluo come out."

Ni Da shouted sternly, "Human, do not be too arrogant!"

Lu Yin's eyes suddenly flared, and a boundless, terrifying power created a storm that was visible to the naked eye. It swept across the cosmos, instantly forcing Ni Da to retreat some ways. It was suddenly faced with a storm of power so oppressive that it felt suffocated, and even the massive dominion behind it swayed. This storm of power seemed capable of shaking the entire cosmos. It could leave any creature trembling.

Ni Da was horrified. This? How is this possible?

In the Mudwater Dominion, when it came to physical strength, no creature could compare to it, not even Ni Bieluo or Ni Ren. Ni Da specialized in physical might, but when compared to the strength of this human before it, it fell far too short. How could such a small human body possess such terrifying strength?

"Get Ni Bieluo out here!" Lu Yin shouted, and the sound wave built up a sonic pressure that blasted at the dominion.

Ni Da was just about to move to stop it when a trident appeared before it, tearing the sonic pressure apart. The weapon was immediately followed by Ni Bieluo itself.

Lu Yin stared at the creature. "Old thing, are you not hiding anymore?"

Ni Bieluo's appearance was not much different from that of Ni Da or any of the other creatures of the Mudwater Dominion. It was genuinely difficult to distinguish the beings by sight alone, but for Lu Yin, sight was only one means of identifying creatures. Immortals were capable of seeing through to the essence of most things.

Ni Bieluo was not alone. Another Immortal emerged to stand beside Ni Da. This creature’s name was Ni Que.

After that, Ni Fan also appeared.

Lu Yin's gaze swept over the Immortals of the Mudwater Dominion and sneered. "The Mudwater Dominion once had eight elders. Now, are there only you few left?"

Ni Bieluo responded in a low tone, "Human, do you remember just how many experts of my Mudwater Dominion you have killed?"

Lu Yin sneered. "Ni Gui, Ni Bai, and Ni Ren all died by my hand."

"Correct. So is there any reason to question why I made a move against your human civilization?"

"Of course not."

"Then why are you here? Could it be that you want to fight my Mudwater Dominion to the death? Leaving aside the fact that your karmic chain is close to completion, even without that restriction, are you confident that you can defeat me?"

Lu Yin clasped his hands behind his back. "Defeating you is absolutely certain. The only question is whether it’s worth it."

"Ridiculous!" Ni Que shouted.

Lu Yin’s cold eyes swept over. "Ni Bieluo, keep your useless descendant on a leash. Don’t let it die without even knowing why."

Ni Que was just about to say something more when Ni Bieluo cut it off. "Human, what exactly are you here for?"

Lu Yin declared, "To stop you from joining Obscura."

Ni Bieluo was not surprised. It had already received an invitation from Obscura. In fact, it had been quite surprised that Obscura would actually invite it to join, but after thinking things through, it was not that shocking.

Obscura could invite any creature to join, even ones from civilizations that had previously fought wars against Obscura.

As for Ni Bieluo itself, it was an absolute powerhouse no matter what. Even among the members of Obscura, it would be considered a top expert, so there was nothing odd about it receiving an invitation.

"On what grounds?" Ni Bieluo would never casually make a decision regarding this invitation, but it had not immediately refused. It was hesitating.

Lu Yin stared at the creature. "On the grounds that I can still find a powerful enemy to take down with me."

Ni Bieluo instantly grew alert. "What did you say?"

Lu Yin's voice grew cold. "Wang Wen will not let my human civilization off. He will still use all kinds of methods to continue to deal with us, and I am not confident that I can protect my civilization. If we ultimately head towards destruction, I won’t die alone. You, Hong Xia, or Wang Wen: I will choose one of you to take down with me. Believe me, if I put my life on the line, aside from Wang Wen, who is completely unfathomable, neither you nor Hong Xia should even think about escaping. When that time comes, do you think that they will be able to help you?"

Ni Bieluo sneered. "You underestimate me too much."

Lu Yin smiled. "Not really. At the very least, if existence is justified, and I also find it logical, what will happen?"

Ni Bieluo was shocked, then quickly grew furious. "What did you say?"

Lu Yin smiled. "That’s something that Hong Xia told me."

Ni Bieluo wished that it could kill Hong Xia immediately. It had two cosmic laws that it resonated with, namely Existence is Justified and a karmic one. That was Ni Bieluo’s actual cultivation: a two-law Immortal. If not for the fact that it had recorded three Immortal beings to create its trident, it would not be comparable to a three-law Immortal.

Essentially, Ni Bieluo was a creature who was capable of fighting across realms, just like Lu Yin.

However, Ni Bieluo’s method also had drawbacks. It was easy to develop weaknesses. In particular, because it had comprehended a cosmic law that did not match its combat power and also possessed the mentality of someone with even greater combat power, it made the weakness of its method even more obvious.

For example, Existence is Justified.

When Lu Yin first heard about Ni Bieluo’s cosmic law, his scalp had gone practically numb. He found it even more terrifying than Wang Wen's power of imagination.

Power of imagination could be broken as long as one did not believe in it, but Existence is Justified acted on Ni Bieluo itself. As long as it believed that something existed, it would appear. This was the reason why its bridge could appear and connect across an endlessly distant span of the Aevum Inch. It was simply an unbeatable cosmic law.

However, the more absurd a cosmic law was, the more flaws that it would have, at least under the premise that Ni Bieluo was currently only a two-law Immortal. This flaw was also rather laughable. Since Ni Bieluo believed that existence was justified, if others believed the same thing, then under its cosmic law, they could do the same thing. The only difference was each side's individual combat power.

For example, Ni Bieluo could manifest a bridge that stretched across the Aevum Inch, while Lu Yin could do the same. If his combat power surpassed Ni Bieluo's, the bridge that Lu Yin manifested might even be longer than Ni Bieluo's.

This was the greatest weakness of Ni Bieluo's current cosmic law of Existence is Justified.

Because of this weakness, it often tried to limit using its cosmic law when fighting enemies, as Ni Bieluo feared that the flaw would be discovered. It would only use it to deliver a killing blow at a critical moment.

Its bridge was not a problem. No one would study a bridge, and the appearance of the bridge made it even more unfathomable.

In contrast, if Ni Bieluo used its cosmic law to deliver a killing blow, then it would be observed and analyzed by its enemies, and those it considered opponents were not weak.

Hong Xia was aware of Ni Bieluo’s weakness and had shared it with Lu Yin so that he could set aside his wariness of Ni Bieluo. The creature was not invincible.

As for how Hong Xia knew the details of Ni Bieluo’s cosmic law, Lu Yin did not ask.

At this moment, Ni Bieluo hated Hong Xia far more than it hated Lu Yin. That human actually knew about its cosmic law and had even shared its weakness with another human. Despicable! Utterly despicable!

Lu Yin was curious. "Why does Hong Xia know that? Have you fought him before?

"No, that shouldn’t be the case. Given Hong Xia's personality, he would never rashly fight someone as powerful as you. Could it be that Wang Wen told him?"

Ni Bieluo's voice grew dark. "Human, that is only one of my laws. Even if you can break it, so what?"

Lu Yin smiled. "Originally, I was wary of you and felt that you were rather unfathomable. Now, I don’t, which is why I came to find you. The key point is not a comparison of strength between you and me, but rather that your mystery has been forcibly stripped away."

Ni Bieluo now understood that it was not an opponent’s strength that was most frightening. What was most frightening was being unable to see that opponent’s strength clearly.

Wang Wen was a perfect example of that, and Ni Bieluo had previously been like that in Lu Yin's eyes.

However, things had changed. Hong Xia had shared some information with Lu Yin, giving him the confidence to confront Ni Bieluo, though it was not yet time to do so.

"You want to prevent me from joining Obscura because you actually want to deal with me," Ni Bieluo observed.

Lu Yin did not deny the allegation. "Of course. I want to use your understanding of karma to develop a method of transferring karmic chains."

Ni Bieluo was shocked. "Impossible."

Ni Da, Ni Que, and the others present also let out cries of shock. How could that be possible? Karmic chains had always shackled all Immortal beings. If not for the restraints of karmic chains, the Aevum Inch would have fallen into chaos long ago.

Over the long years, countless powerful beings had tried to break their karmic chains, but all of them had failed without exception. This human actually intended to try.

Lu Yin continued, "You can sense it, can’t you? I treat you differently from others because you have comprehended karma, and most importantly, you’ve developed a karmic transfer method."

Ni Bieluo responded in a low voice, "Human, you should stop dreaming. You are correct. I initially also wanted to comprehend a method to transfer karmic chains, only to fail. Through a twist of fate, I comprehended a method of transferring karma instead. I failed, and you cannot possibly succeed either.

"If this is why you decided to target me, then regardless of whether you are capable of defeating me, you will never be able to achieve your goals. Moreover, you saying all of this will only make me more eager to join Obscura because I do not want to fight you to the death and increase my own karmic chain. With Obscura's rules, you would not dare to attack me."
