The glowing remnant of the Fire Roc dissipated completely. Dante stood alone on the peak in the center of the magma lake.

He didn’t wait for his squad to navigate the treacherous narrow stone bridge that connected the outer rim of the caldera to the central peak.

He was in a hurry, and he possessed the tactical means to bypass the terrain entirely.

"Lila," Dante commanded through the party comms. "Bridge."

Lila stood with the rest of the twelve-man squad at the edge of the cavern and didn’t hesitate.

She raised her Dark Demon staff and channeled her massive un-chanted mana pool.

[Skill Executed: Astral Bridge]

A wide completely invisible platform of highly pressurized gravitational force materialized across the bubbling magma lake.

It formed a perfect solid path that connected the squad directly to the position of Dante on the peak.

"Move quickly," Dante ordered as the squad jogged across the invisible bridge. Their boots hovered seemingly over thin air.

"The heat in here is scaling aggressively the closer we get to the inner sanctum."

Casanova stumbled slightly and looked down at the liquid fire churning just feet below his boots. "I really hate magic sometimes."

The squad reached the obsidian peak safely.

Lila immediately dropped the spell and gasped softly as her mana bar took a significant hit.

Aura chimed and pulsed a [Resurgence Wave] to top her off.

Dante turned his attention to the massive jagged archway carved into the rock face behind the glowing nest. It was the entrance to the true final chamber.

"Alright, listen up," Dante said. His voice dropped into a cold absolute register of command.

He looked at the five independent recruits they had drafted for the raid.

"We are walking into an endgame boss room. The entity inside is capable of devouring a Level 50 Divine Emperor."

"If you break formation, you will die. If you pull aggro before Garrick is set, you will die."

The towering secondary tank swallowed hard and gripped his heavy mace. "Understood, Guild Master."

Dante didn’t lead them blindly into the dark. He activated the secondary passive on his [Evil Dragon Helmet].

[Skill Executed: Dragon’s Insight]

The visual transition shifted his perception from the sweltering orange-lit cavern to the cool analytical grid of underlying system code.

He peered into the dark archway.

The tunnel wasn’t empty.

It was absolutely packed with highly and incredibly lethal environmental hazards.

The floor was a patchwork of false stone tiles that hid deep pits of superheated magma.

The walls were lined with invisible pressure-sensitive vents designed to unleash massive cones of searing fire magic.

But it wasn’t just traps.

Lurking in the shadows of the tunnel perfectly camouflaged against the dark rock were several massive heavily armored beasts.

[Monster Spawn: Scarlet Porcupine]

[Tier: Gold]

[Level: 35]

[HP: 65,000 / 65,000]

"Eight of them," Dante noted and studied the glowing red threat signatures through the visor of his helmet.

These weren’t standard porcupines.

They were the size of rhinos. They were covered in thick dark red quills that glowed with intense internal heat.

They didn’t move.

They waited in perfect ambush positions. They were ready to launch barrages of explosive quills the moment a player stepped into the tunnel.

"What do you see, Boss?" Casanova asked and peered nervously into the dark.

"A very warm welcome," Dante said smoothly.

He didn’t deactivate [Dragon’s Insight]. He needed the visual grid to navigate the hazards.

"Mei, Garrick, you have the front," Dante ordered.

"You two are the wall. I want overlapping shields. Secondary tank, you stay on the right flank of Garrick. Do not let anything bypass the vanguard."

"I am the wall!" Mei cheered and hoisted the colossal [God-Slaying Skillet] onto her shoulder.

"I have got the spite, buddy!" Garrick beamed and held his rusty kite shield high.

"Lila, Sera, Nyx," Dante continued and turned to the backline. "You stay in the center with the recruited healers."

"Aria, you stay with them. Do not move outside the protective dome of Aura."

Aria, the Level 15 Soul Weaver, clutched her small woven basket tightly and nodded rapidly. She looked absolutely terrified.

"What about you, Boss?" Casanova asked.

"I am going to clear the path," Dante said.

He drew the [Dawn-Breaker Blade].

"Follow my exact footsteps," Dante commanded. "If I step left, you step left. Do not deviate."

He stepped into the dark tunnel.

The [Dragon’s Insight] allowed him to see the glowing red pressure plates lining the floor.

He sidestepped the first one effortlessly and guided the twelve-man squad in a tight weaving line through the initial trap zone.

The eight Scarlet Porcupines clinging to the walls didn’t immediately attack.

Their Gold-tier system was waiting for a player to trigger a trap to distract the party before they launched their ambush.

Dante didn’t give them the chance.

He stopped directly in front of the first hidden beast.

He didn’t use a Zenith-tier skill. He simply utilized the massive unmitigated attack power provided by his [Asura Vanguard] stats.

He swung the Gold-tier broadsword in a brutal and lightning-fast horizontal arc.

The blade sheared cleanly through the camouflaged rock and slammed directly into the side of the Scarlet Porcupine.

[-18,000! Critical Hit!]

The beast shrieked in sudden agony. Its camouflage broke as it tumbled off the wall and hit the tunnel floor.

The ambush was blown.

The remaining seven Porcupines instantly reacted. They dropped from the walls and ceiling, and their massive red quills flared with intense explosive heat.

"Contact!" Dante yelled.

Garrick didn’t hesitate. The middle-aged man stepped forward and slammed his silver sword against his rusty shield.

[Skill Executed: Spiteful Bulwark]

The massive dark red dome of pure emotional frustration erupted outward and completely covered the front of the tunnel.

The Scarlet Porcupines didn’t charge into melee. They turned their backs to the squad and violently shook their massive bodies.

Hundreds of glowing red quills shot through the air like a missile barrage.

The quills slammed into the red dome of Garrick.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The quills didn’t just pierce. They actively detonated on impact.

The overlapping explosions shook the tunnel and filled the air with thick black smoke and intense heat.

The red dome buckled violently. But Garrick held his ground, and his face was set in a mask of absolute oblivious determination.

"They are ranged attackers!" Nyx yelled over the explosions. "They are trying to burst the shield from a distance!"

"Secondary tank!" Dante ordered. "Taunt the flanks! Force them into melee!"

The recruited tank stepped up and slammed his heavy mace against his tower shield. He triggered a massive aggro-pull.

The Gold-tier AI of the Porcupines hitched. The taunt forced them to prioritize the new threat.

Three of the massive beasts stopped firing quills and charged the secondary tank. Their heavy claws tore up the stone floor.

"I have got them!" the tank yelled and braced for impact.

"Mei! Punish them!" Dante commanded.

Mei didn’t wait. She activated [Colossal Manifestation].

The four-foot frying pan violently expanded into a thirty-foot-wide monolith of indestructible black iron.

She didn’t swing it horizontally in the confined tunnel. She thrust it straight forward like a massive blunt battering ram.

The colossal pan slammed directly into the three charging Porcupines.

CLANG!

The impact was devastating.

The massive beasts were physically launched backward, and their heavy armor cracked under the sheer kinetic force.

[-25,000! Critical Hit!]

[-25,000! Critical Hit!]

"Lila! Pin them!" Dante shouted.

Lila stepped out from behind the shield of Garrick and raised her wooden staff.

[Skill Executed: Gravity Well]

The invisible cylinder of absolute atmospheric pressure slammed down over the staggered beasts and pinned them firmly to the tunnel floor.

"My turn," Dante said.

He didn’t summon [Voidsever]. He didn’t need the true damage for pinned targets.

He triggered [Phantom Dash].

He vanished and materialized directly above the three pinned Porcupines.

[Skill Executed: Aether-Blade Projection]

He swung the [Dawn-Breaker Blade] rapidly and unleashed a flurry of massive glowing golden crescents of kinetic energy.

The Zenith-tier projectiles slammed into the trapped beasts and shredded their remaining health pools in seconds.

[-15,000!]

[-15,000!]

[-15,000! OVERKILL!]

Three Gold-tier bosses exploded into blue pixels simultaneously.

"Three down!" Casanova cheered from the back. "Only five left!"

The remaining five Scarlet Porcupines didn’t retreat. They reformed their line and prepared another massive volley of explosive quills.

Dante landed on the tunnel floor and prepared to chain another teleportation strike.

"I can handle this," a soft trembling voice said from the back of the formation.

Dante paused. He looked over his shoulder.

Aria stepped out from behind Sera.

The tiny innocent-looking girl was no longer clutching her woven basket.

She was holding a delicate and intricately carved wooden flute.

Her brown eyes were completely serious.

"I do not like it when they shoot at us," Aria stated flatly.

She didn’t raise a staff. She didn’t begin a complex magical chant.

Aria brought the wooden flute to her lips.

And the true terrifying power of the Number Two ranked Hidden Class of the server was finally revealed.
