Standing on the front porch near the open double doors of the villa was Silas, dressed in a simple high-collared dark tunic and trousers, leaning casually against the polished doorframe with his arms crossed.

Gathered on the stone walkway before him were Lia, Penelope, and Kaede, all three dressed in the immaculate, prestigious uniform of Valoria Academy.

’Haah... It brings back memories.’

They were crisp white button-up shirts, navy-blue blazers adorned with silver academy crests, pleated skirts, and polished dark leather shoes.

Lia stood directly in front of Silas, her academy satchel slung securely over her shoulder.

She looked up at him with her hands on her hips, her brown eyes narrowing into her trademark stern commanding glare.

"Remember your promise, Big Bro," Lia instructed bossily, pointing an accusatory finger at his chest. "You are staying right here in the house today. When Martha brings us back from the academy this afternoon, I expect to see you sitting on that couch, ready to eat lunch with us! If you vanish into the Sovereign Realm, I will personally file paperwork to legally change my last name!"

’It’s not like you can afford it...’

Silas couldn’t help but laugh at her dramatic threats, raising his right hand in a mock oath.

"I hear you, boss. I promise. I’ll be right here waiting when you get back."

Lia’s stern expression broke into a bright satisfied smile, though before she could turn toward the car, Kaede stepped forward with a cheerful bounce in her step.

"Here, Big Brother Silas!" Kaede chirped happily, reaching into her blazer pocket and pulling out a delicate neatly folded silk handkerchief.

The fabric was dyed a deep, lustrous indigo and featured an exquisitely embroidered silver cherry blossom pattern in the corner.

She held it out with both hands, offering it to him with a radiant, bubbly grin.

"A gift from me! For letting us have a sleepover and eating all your delicious breakfast pastries!"

Silas blinked in mild surprise, reaching out with his large hand to accept the delicate square of silk.

"Thank you, Kaede," Silas said, looking down at the intricate embroidery with genuine appreciation, though a slight puzzled amusement flickered in his mind. ’What in the world am I supposed to use a delicate silk handkerchief for? Polish my armor?’

Penelope stepped forward, offering a graceful bow of her head. "Thank you for your hospitality, Silas... The accommodations were exceptional."

"Anytime, Penelope. Take care of each other at school," Silas replied warmly.

"We will!" Kaede beamed, turning and skipping toward the waiting vehicle.

Martha stepped forward, bowing respectfully toward Silas.

"I shall escort the young ladies safely to the academy gates and return immediately to attend to the things I told you about, Master Silas. I might be back later this afternoon, are you sure it’s okay if I use your car?"

"Thank you, Martha... Yes I’m sure and drive safely," Silas nodded.

Lia climbed into the spacious leather interior of the Zenith IVR alongside Penelope and Kaede.

As Martha smoothly closed the door and slid into the driver’s seat, Lia rolled down the tinted window, leaning her head out into the morning breeze.

"See you this afternoon, Big Bro! Don’t be lazy!" Lia called out, waving her hand enthusiastically.

"See you later, kiddo." Silas waved back with a warm smile.

HUMMMMM.

The Zenith IVR’s enchanted mana engine engaged with a silent vibrationless purr.

The sleek vehicle glided down the stone driveway, smoothly traversing the opening security gate of the estate before accelerating gracefully down the wide Silverleaf boulevard, disappearing into the morning traffic.

Silas stood on the porch for a moment, watching the road with a quiet peaceful smile.

’I’ll keep my promise...’ Silas thought to himself, feeling the rare calm of a normal day on Earth wash over him. ’Lia deserves to have a normal life, a safe home, and a brother who actually shows up when he says he will.’

BZZZZT!

Suddenly, the security sensors near the perimeter of the front lawn chimed softly.

Silas turned his gaze toward the outer gate. Standing on the public sidewalk just outside the estate’s railings was an official courier wearing the sharp navy-and-gold uniform of the Lord Association Building.

The delivery courier was carrying a reinforced, silver-trimmed lockbox marked with high-priority security seals.

Silas stepped off the porch, walking smoothly down the stone path toward the front entrance.

’It’s finally here, huh?’

The courier immediately stood at attention the moment Silas approached, recognizing the immense passive physical presence of an elite Lord even without his armor.

"Lord Silas Graves?" the courier asked professionally, presenting a digital stylus and confirmation slate.

"That’s me," Silas confirmed.

"Special priority delivery dispatched directly from the central LAB Vaults..." the courier stated, handing over the stylus. "Please provide your mana signature for verification."

Silas pressed his thumb against the scanning pad, letting a microscopic thread of his mana register on the slate.

BEEP-CHIME!

[IDENTITY CONFIRMED: LORD SILAS GRAVES]

The courier unlocked the silver-trimmed lockbox, carefully lifting out a compact steel chest and he presented the chest to Silas with a respectful bow.

"Consignment delivered in full, My Lord. Have a productive day."

"Thank you," Silas nodded, taking the heavy chest into his hands.

The courier bowed once more and departed down the avenue.

With a simple tap of a button, Silas triggered the estate’s security wards, and the heavy front gates glided shut behind him with a smooth click, locking the perimeter down completely.

Silas carried the chest back to the front porch, resting it on the polished outdoor table.

His fingers traced the runic bands along the seam of the lid and with a slight influx of his mana, the locking mechanism disengaged with a crisp chunk and the heavy lid swung open.

Resting upon a bed of deep black velvet inside the chest was a single breathtaking artifact.

It was a smooth metallic silver card, its surface gleaming with a soft, ethereal luminescence.

Intricate golden runes shifted and swirled across the face of the card in a continuous flowing dance of authority.

The edges were trimmed with delicate gold filigree, and the card radiated a very special aura.

A Hero Summoning Card.

Silas looked down at the glowing silver card, his blue eyes narrowing as the golden ring of his Mythic Gold Core flared to life beneath his pupils.

A slow confident smile spread across his face.

*I think it’s time...* Silas thought, his heart beating with a powerful electric rhythm.

The foundation of the Blessed Land was growing stronger by the day.

To truly establish undisputed dominance over the uncharted regions of the Sovereign Realm, his territory required another pillar.

’I did some research though I couldn’t find much... I wouldn’t mind if she was a Winter Specialist or something? Maybe a Saintess too?’

When he returned to the Blessed Land tomorrow night after fulfilling his promise to Lia, he was going to initiate the summoning and bring a new girl into the territory.

’Regardless of who she is... We’ll treat her like family.’

Meanwhile, across Valoria City, deep within the heavily fortified top-floor executive suite of the Lord Association Building...

A brilliant beam of morning sunlight sliced through the floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, illuminating the sprawling, high-tech office.

Holographic displays flickered along the walls, projecting real-time Leyline stability maps of the sector, financial audit reports from the Obsidian Sanhedrin, and complex containment schematics for the newly acquired ancient Khopesh, The Per-aa’s Judgment.

Lying horizontally across the long, emerald-velvet executive sofa in the center of the office was Harper Whitmore.

Her vibrant purple hair was a wild messy tangle spreading across the cushions, several strands plastered against her forehead.

Her tailored coat was draped haphazardly over the back of an armchair, her boots kicked off onto the rug, and a half-empty mug of cold celestial coffee sat on the glass coffee table beside her.

Harper’s long eyelashes fluttered weakly against the bright sunlight.

"Haah..."

She let out a low, groggy groan, slowly rolling onto her side and shielding her eyes with the back of her forearm.

Slowly, her violet eyes blinked open, staring blankly at the ceiling tiles above her.

"Wha—what happened?!"

Harper sat up abruptly on the plush velvet sofa with her breath catching in her dry throat as the high-pitched squeak of her own mortified voice echoed off the sound-dampened walls of her top-floor executive office.

Her heart was hammering against her ribs like a runaway piston.

She lifted both hands, burying her slender fingers into the wild tangled mess of her vibrant violet hair, groaning softly as the vivid memory of the night before rushed through her mind in full detail.

The cool night air of the Silverleaf District... The reassuring warmth of Silas’s broad chest beneath her hands... The way she had boldly risen onto her tiptoes, gripped his collar, and pressed her lips against his.

And, worse yet... the passionate clumsy enthusiasm with which she had tangled her tongue into the kiss before panicking and speeding off into the dark like a terrified academy novice.

"Uuuugh..." Harper whimpered, pressing the heels of her palms against her burning cheeks.

Her face was hot enough to melt lead. "What in the world came over me? I am a Lord! Why did I run away like an embarrassed schoolgirl?!"

She rubbed her temples, trying to disperse the dizzying haze lingering in her mind.

Slowly swinging her long legs over the edge of the sofa, her bare feet touched the thick wool carpeting.

"Fuu... No matter..."

She stood up, stretching her sore back until the joints in her spine gave a series of satisfying clicks, and padded across the sprawling glass-walled office toward her private adjoining bathroom.

The bathroom was a masterpiece of sleek modern luxury, finished in polished black obsidian tile, gleaming brass fixtures, and soft amber luminescence.

Harper stepped up to the wide vanity counter and turned on the tap.

FSSH!

Cool enchanted spring water gushed into the basin, and she scooped two large handfuls directly onto her face, letting the freezing liquid shock her system awake.

’I needed that...’

She stayed bent over the sink for several long seconds with water dripping steadily from the tip of her nose, her chin, and the stray violet curls framing her cheeks.

When she closed her eyes, the phantom sensation of Silas’s lips lingered... they felt firm and intoxicatingly warm.

A small involuntary shiver ran down her spine, followed immediately by a reluctant helpless smile that curled the corners of her mouth.

’It was a good kiss, though,’ she thought, feeling a flutter in her stomach. ’A really, really good kiss.’

She grabbed a clean white hand towel from the heated rack, patting her face dry and smoothing down her disheveled hair as best she could with her fingers.

Tossing the towel aside, she turned on her heel and pushed open the frosted glass door, stepping back into the open space of her main office.

The morning sunlight was now pouring through the floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, casting long geometric rays of gold across the modern desk, the holographic terminals, and the leather armchairs.

Harper froze in the middle of the room.

Her violet eyes widened, locking onto the center of her massive executive desk.

Resting atop the dark mahogany wood... completely free of its twenty-four-layer runic containment sarcophagus was the massive, six-foot golden Khopesh.

’Wait... what?’ Harper thought, her instincts instantly snapping into sharp focus.

Her brow furrowed deeply.

She had spent seven straight hours with the World Council’s chief masters in the vault, locking the ancient weapon within multi-layered spatial suppression spells before retiring to her office for a brief rest.

The blade was supposed to remain in the maximum-security containment chamber on Sub-Level Nine until the official activation trial was sanctioned by the board.

"I explicitly remember leaving it in primary containment..." Harper muttered aloud, her voice dropping into a tense cautious tone.

Her boots made not a sound as she slowly advanced across the carpet and her right hand hovered instinctively near her hip with her Lord core humming softly as tiny microscopic sparks of purple lightning crackled across the tips of her fingers.

The ancient weapon lay perfectly flat across the desk.

The hawk-beaked blade of untarnishable golden alloy gleamed with a hypnotic radiant luster that seemed completely untouched by the centuries.

The hieroglyphic bind-runes carved along its surface pulsed with a rhythmic breathing amber light, and the fist-sized sun-amber gem in the pommel swirled with a perpetual vortex of compressed golden sand.

Harper reached her hand out with her fingers trembling slightly as they hovered inches above the hilt wrapped in the calcified white hide of the divine desert serpent.

Before her skin could make contact with the leather...

"Greetings, Daughter of the Storm."
