Stripping For My Devil Ex Husband

Chapter 21: Dinner With Devil? Not For Free!

"Mr. Stark," Damian addressed the older man, his deep voice slicing through the tense silence of the hallway.

His expression remained completely unbothered as he stepped out of the elevator, his hand sliding right back around Ana’s waist to guide her forward. He had no intention of entertaining them. "Excuse us. My wife and I have plans tonight."

"You mean your ex-wife?" Mr. Stark countered, a mocking, condescending smirk pulling at his lips. He looked past Damian, leveling Ana with another freezing glare. "I must say, Damian... you’ve never skipped out on work before. But seeing Anastasia hiding behind you... I suppose I understand where your focus has been."

Damian stopped in his tracks. The air around them dropped below freezing as he turned his piercing, lethal gaze onto the older man.

"Taking a few days of leave from my own company will not affect my success, Mr. Stark," Damian said, his voice dripping with an arrogant, absolute authority. "Moreover, my board members should only concern themselves with the immense profits they are gaining from me. Not count the days of my absence."

Vivian instantly sensed the dangerous shift in Damian’s tone. Terrified that he was about to say something deeply offensive to her father and ruin her plans, she quickly stepped between them to defuse the situation.

"Father just wanted to have dinner with you, Damian," Vivian said, letting out a soft, forced laugh to try and make the situation lighter. "When he found out you weren’t in your office, he got worried, that’s all."

Her laugh had absolutely no effect on Damian. His face remained a mask of pure stone.

"Good night," Damian muttered flatly.

Without giving them another second of his time, he pulled Ana along with him toward the exit. Ana quickly bowed her head slightly toward the Starks in a polite, silent gesture before being hurried away by Damian’s relentless grip.

The heavy glass doors of the executive wing closed behind them, leaving the hallway in a suffocating quiet.

The moment Damian and Ana were out of sight, the fake, gentle expression vanished from Mr. Stark’s face. He whirled around, his eyes blazing with fury as he glared at his daughter.

"What the hell, Vivian!" He hissed, his voice trembling with anger. "How the hell is she back again? I thought you handled this two years ago!"

Vivian’s jaw clenched, her hands tightening into fists until her manicured nails dug into her palms. The sweet, innocent act was completely gone, replaced by a cold, venomous ambition.

"I’ll fix it," Vivian spat out, her eyes staring dark and fixated at the empty hallway. "I did it before, and I can do it again. Just trust me, Father... Damian is mine to have. And I will have him by hook or by crook."

Ana had expected to be dragged straight back to his penthouse prison, but the car pulled up to the entrance of a towering luxury hotel instead.

Minutes later, she found herself sitting across from him at an exclusive, breathtaking rooftop restaurant. The ambiance was lavish, illuminated by soft candlelight and the twinkling Manhattan skyline.

Looking down at the exquisite fine-dining spread laid out before her, Ana felt a sudden wave of surrealism. It had been over two years since she had experienced anything close to this luxury.

She was absolutely starving, and the food looked incredible. But as she reached for her fork, the burning questions in her mind finally overtook her hunger.

She looked across the table at Damian, who was elegantly swirling his vintage red wine, his expression as unreadable as ever.

"Damian?" She asked softly.

He didn’t look up, but his hand paused. "Speak."

"Why were you so cold to Mr. Stark earlier?" Ana inquired, trying to keep her voice even. "Shouldn’t you be a little more diplomatic with him? He’s one of the major investors in your company."

Damian took a slow, deliberate sip of his wine. When his dark eyes finally lifted to lock onto hers, they were entirely devoid of warmth.

"I hold no one at value, Anastasia, if they are replaceable," he replied flatly. "The Starks need my empire to survive. I do not need them."

A chill ran down Ana’s spine. Hearing his cold, calculating logic, a missing piece of the puzzle suddenly clicked in her mind.

She finally understood why Vivian used to drop those passive-aggressive, bitter hints in the past... saying she should have been the one in Ana’s place. If Vivian had married Damian, her father’s stake in the company would have been cemented forever.

Ana opened her mouth to speak, but before she could say a word, Damian set his wine glass down with a soft click.

He leaned back in his chair, his gaze dropping from her face, tracking slowly down her body, before settling on her lap beneath the heavy white tablecloth.

"Take off your underwear," Damian commanded, his voice dropping into a low, smooth tone that was completely calm, yet entirely lethal.

Ana froze. Her fork slipped from her fingers, clattering against the porcelain plate.

She blinked at him in absolute shock, her heart instantly leaping into her throat. She glanced around nervously. The restaurant was filled with elite diners, waiters moving elegantly between tables, and soft music playing in the background.

"What...?" She whispered, her voice trembling. "Damian, we are in public..."

"I know where we are," he interrupted, a dark, wicked smirk playing at the corner of his lips. He rested his forearms on the table, leaning in just enough so only she could hear his next words. "Reach under your skirt, take them off, and hand them to me under the table. Right now."

The realization hit her like a physical blow. A bitter, heavy knot formed in the pit of her stomach.

She had been foolish to think this lavish dinner was a treat, or that he was softening. Damian never gave anything for free. He had brought her to this high-end restaurant with one sole purpose... to test her absolute obedience in the most humiliating way possible.

"Anastasia," Damian murmured, his eyes darkening with a dangerous, impatient hunger as he extended his open palm hidden beneath the edge of the tablecloth. "You have thirty seconds before I make you do it in front of everyone."
