It was a Cultivation Technique that led all the way to the Nascent Soul Realm.
Bai Tongtong’s explanation included the Spirit Awakening Method, the Qi-Introducing Technique, and the Meridian Passage Technique for the Qi Refining Three Realms,
as well as the Dharma Gates for the Dao Foundation and Nascent Element Realms.
As for the content regarding the Nascent Soul Transformation Level,
that was unknown.
This was only natural.
Bai Tongtong herself was merely a Cultivator who had just entered the Second Layer of the Dao Foundation Realm.
Her ability to obtain the Dharma Gates for the Nascent Element Realm so far in advance was solely because her father was an Elder of the Dharma Transmission Hall.
If not for that,
ordinary Disciples had to at least reach the Peak of the Dao Foundation Realm, then undergo a review by the Sect’s Elders, before they could be qualified to obtain this part of the Dharma Gate.
’After Nascent Element, is it Nascent Soul Transformation?’
Hu Qi’s eyes flickered.
He processed the new information.
For Hu Qi, Bai Tongtong’s appearance had been a welcome surprise.
The Nascent Element Level Cultivation Technique he’d learned from her was of extraordinary value.
Having this Cultivation Technique as a blueprint would allow Hu Qi to save a massive number of Modification Points when he used the Crimson Panel to develop a subsequent Nascent Element Cultivation Technique suited for his Demon Race.
After all, creating a Cultivation Technique from scratch
was worlds apart in difficulty from modifying and expanding upon an existing one.
The cost in Modification Points was on a completely different level.
...
"Still no word from Junior Sister Bai?"
The fragrance of tea curled through a teahouse in Tai Lake County.
Two men and a woman sat around a table by a second-floor window, the atmosphere heavy with tension.
The one who spoke was a handsome man in green robes, a longsword strapped to his back.
He frowned slightly, breaking the brief silence.
"I gave the Governor of Tai Lake County strict orders to spare no effort in searching for her and to keep an eye out for any trace of Junior Sister Bai, but there’s still not a single clue."
The other man, the one with a scar across his face, looked grim.
"We all agreed to meet here, and so many days have passed... Do you think Senior Sister Bai... maybe she ran into some kind of trouble...?"
The last of the group, a woman in pink, had eyes full of worry, her words trailing off as she hesitated to voice the worst possible outcome.
At her words, the expressions of the other two men instantly darkened.
It wasn’t that they were so worried for Bai Tongtong’s safety because of some deep friendship between them.
Quite the opposite.
As Cultivators, a single session of closed-door cultivation could last anywhere from months to years. Even among disciples of the same Sect, opportunities to interact were few and far between.
So, their relationship was just an ordinary one between fellow disciples, bland as water.
But this time was different.
Although their Cultivation at the Dao Foundation Realm meant they weren’t considered weak even within the Cyan Yang Sect,
when it came to status and background, the gap between them and Bai Tongtong was like the difference between the clouds and the mud.
Bai Tongtong’s father was an influential Elder in the Cyan Yang Sect, his Cultivation having reached the Nascent Element Realm.
He held a respected position in the Sect and possessed formidable strength.
This time, the four of them had set out on a mission together.
Yet now, she was missing.
If something had really happened to Bai Tongtong,
there was no guarantee that the Nascent Element Realm Dharma Transmission Elder wouldn’t unleash his fury upon them.
With their current strength, they were utterly powerless to withstand the wrath of a Nascent Element Realm expert.
They had wanted to try and find a trace of her themselves,
but now, many days had passed since Bai Tongtong’s disappearance, and they still had no leads.
Clearly, they couldn’t drag this out any longer. Their only option was to report it to the Sect.
As the three sat in silence,
suddenly,
their expressions changed slightly,
as if they had sensed something.
Their gazes turned toward the window.
...
Outside, it was evening.
Leaden clouds hung low in the sky.
Fine threads of rain slanted down like woven silver.
Just then,
a thin line of light shot straight into the sky.
High in the sky, the beam erupted, instantly becoming a translucent ball of cyan-green flame.
It was a Communication Talisman from the Cyan Yang Sect.
The Spiritual Energy fluctuation it emitted was very subtle, but it would alert any Cyan Yang Sect Disciple within a hundred-li radius.
It was generally used for communication between Disciples.
"Could that be Junior Sister Bai?"
At this thought,
the three of them exchanged a look,
a hint of joyous surprise in their eyes.
The leading man took a piece of silver from his robes and placed it on the table.
Then, without hesitation, the three of them tapped their toes lightly on the floor and leaped out the window.
In mid-air, the three formed hand seals for a Technique as Spiritual Energy surged around them.
VMMMM—
Accompanied by the clear ring of steel, the longswords on their backs seemed to answer a summons, breaking free from their scabbards and positioning themselves under each of their feet.
With an infusion of Spiritual Energy,
the longswords transformed into streaks of Flowing Light, carrying the three of them as they shot toward the cyan flame in the sky.
"Oh my god, Immortals!"
"An Immortal has revealed themself! Please, save my child!"
"I beg for your mercy, Immortal Venerable! Please take me as your disciple!"
...
Cries of shock and awe rose one after another in the teahouse.
On the street below, pedestrians stopped in their tracks, standing frozen on the spot.
Immediately, a crowd of commoners, their faces a mixture of alarm and hope,
fell to their knees with a collective THUD.
Heavy raindrops beat down on them, but they seemed completely oblivious.
The crowd leaned forward, hands clasped in prayer, and kowtowed ceaselessly in the direction the three had vanished.
Their foreheads struck the ground again and again, splashing muddy water onto their faces.
Their eyes were filled with awe and dependence on the Immortals as they murmured prayers,
praying for the Immortals to drive away calamity and bring them good fortune.
Some even tried to run, hoping to catch up to the three and ask to become their disciples.
But there was no way these ordinary people could ever hope to catch up to the trio on foot.
In the blink of an eye,
the trio’s figures vanished from sight,
leaving only lingering afterimages streaking across the sky.
...
About the time it takes to drink half a cup of tea, the rain grew even heavier.
The sky was dark, and a fierce wind howled.
