Strongest Lord by Opening Blind Boxes

Chapter 402 - 293: Hot-Tempered Li Jikong

Chapter 402: Chapter 293: Hot-Tempered Li Jikong

Wang Yi turned and glanced at the white-haired old man.

[Li Jikong: Level 299 Long Rainbow Sword Immortal, Peak of Divinity Transformation, Nine Tribulations Body, Free Player.]

"Another master has arrived. So hasty... looks like he has a bad temper. Shiga, step aside."

Wang Yi spoke softly. He was here to open Blind Boxes. He wasn’t afraid of a fight, but he didn’t want to get involved in an unnecessary one.

Shiga shook its head, shot Li Jikong a disdainful glance, but moved aside nonetheless.

Tie Suifeng also obediently moved to the side.

Yin Kui, feigning panic, was a bit slow to react. The Floating Cloud Boat beneath him was struck and flipped over. With a yelp, he plummeted toward the ground, but just before impact, he summoned another Floating Cloud Boat and took to the air again.

"You blind fool! How dare you obstruct my Sword Qi Longbow!"

Li Jikong, still on his longbow of light, came to a halt. He looked down at Yin Kui with contempt and said, "You must compensate this old man. Otherwise, I wouldn’t mind taking your worthless life!"

Yin Kui looked panicked and hurriedly cupped his fists. "My cultivation is weak, I’m only level 110. My reflexes are too slow to dodge your sword light. I didn’t mean to get in your way. Please, master, show mercy."

With that, he gave Li Jikong a deep bow.

Li Jikong sneered. Just as he was about to speak, he let out a choked cry and spat out a mouthful of blood. His face instantly went pale as he glared viciously at Yin Kui. "Brat, did you just ambush me?"

"Master, what’s wrong? You can’t accuse me of something I didn’t do! I haven’t done anything!"

Yin Kui’s expression was a mask of panic as he once again cupped his fists and bowed to Li Jikong.

At this bow, Li Jikong staggered back as if struck by a heavy blow, spitting out another mouthful of blood. He clutched his chest and stared at Yin Kui in horror. "What kind of technique is this?! You dare attack me again! I... I... I’ll kill you..."

"I’m innocent!" Yin Kui looked utterly terrified, begging for mercy as he bowed to Li Jikong again and again.

Li Jikong raised his Longsword to strike Yin Kui, but with every bow Yin Kui made, Li Jikong was forced back a step as if taking a heavy blow, coughing up more and more blood. Soon, the Longsword slipped from his grasp. With a final scream, now a bloody mess, he fell with a THUD into a patch of Yin Thorn Grass below.

"This... this old geezer must be faking it. He’s not trying to pull a scam on us, is he?" Yin Kui muttered. "Let’s get out of here before he tries to extort us!"

Tie Suifeng had actually already taken off, but when he glanced back, he couldn’t help but freeze in shock.

’This Yin Kui fellow is quite the actor,’ Wang Yi thought. ’There’s obviously something strange about his "cupped-fist bow." He managed to severely injure the level 299 Li Jikong just by bowing to him.’

However, Wang Yi merely took note of it and didn’t expose him. With a single thought, the Three-Eyed Golden Lion Shiga began to walk forward, treading on the air itself.

At the same time, he silently took out a Chaos Blind Box. Ignoring Yin Kui, Tie Suifeng, and the possibly dead Li Jikong on the ground, he simply continued opening his Blind Boxes.

Next, Wang Yi opened all his Chaos Blind Boxes in one go, obtaining another batch of interesting items, such as a voice-controlled, auto-calculating [Ruyi Abacus +6].

There was also a [Pioneer Outfit +4] equipped with a flight device and Light Energy Firearms; a [Bubble Gun +5] whose bubbles released a blinding flash when they popped; an [All-Purpose Swimming Ring +6] with adjustable inflation density; a [Claw Machine +6] that could provide an infinite supply of stuffed animals; and a pair of [Nunchaku +4] that emitted neon lights when swung.

’Excluding the Luck Blind Boxes, after opening these 173 Blind Boxes, the most valuable items are the Great Wind and Cloud Banner and the two World Bonsai. As for the rest... the outfit, Cannon, and Sail Airship are decent. The Flaming Magic Staff +4 can go to Jelena. The two heirlooms, the razor and the Iron Hammer, can be put on display. Everything else is just a trinket!’

Wang Yi mentally summarized his haul, feeling quite satisfied.

He checked his Seven-Color Blind Box again; it only needed 579 more wisps of luck to upgrade to Seven-Color Quality.

Just then, Tie Suifeng and Yin Kui, who were clearing the path ahead, came to a stop. Wang Yi looked up. The mountainside before them had been blasted open, revealing numerous buildings among the shattered rock. They too had been destroyed, reduced to rubble. But amidst the devastated ruins stood a wall of jade.

This wall of jade looked very similar to the stone stele at the entrance to the Mad Secret Realm. It was covered in complex patterns and Ancient Divine script, and it emanated a faint, green glow.

Tie Suifeng pointed at the jade wall. "This should be the portal to the second level of the Secret Realm."

Yin Kui said, "Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go. This place has clearly been explored already. There probably isn’t anything good left!"

"Alright!"

Tie Suifeng nodded. After carefully scanning the surroundings one more time, he cautiously approached the jade wall. He pressed his palm against it, and his body dissolved into light and vanished. The wall flashed, and ripples of light spread across its surface.

"Jade Cauldron must be inside. We should follow!"

Yin Kui said this to Wang Yi, then strode toward the jade wall and promptly teleported away.

Riding the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, Wang Yi came to a stop before the jade wall, but he didn’t act rashly. He frowned, his eyes fixed on the script covering its surface.

’It’s only when you need knowledge that you regret not having enough,’ he thought. ’I was pretty diligent when I studied the Ancient Divine Language at the Civilization Academy, but in the end, I never truly mastered it. I can only recognize about half of this script...’

Wang Yi racked his brains, trying his best to recall his lessons. He could only barely decipher a small portion of the text. It seemed to say that this was a shattered micro-world with three spatial layers. There were six "faces" of the jade wall in total, with two on each level of the Secret Realm. If one could gather them all, a great opportunity awaited.

But as for how to gather them, or how to claim them, Wang Yi had no idea.

’It seems the Hexagonal Jade Pendant is a treasure, not just a simple Teleportation Gate. The two faces on this first level must be the one at the entrance and this one right here. But how do I claim them?’
