Chapter 411 - 296: Samadhi True Fire, Ancestral MapChapter 411: Chapter 296: Samadhi True Fire, Ancestral Map
Wang Yi had only studied the Ancient Divine Language for a few days, making him less than a novice. How could he possibly understand the long string of words she suddenly uttered?
Since he couldn’t understand, he didn’t reply. Wang Yi had no intention of closing his eyes, but he avoided meeting Tarvali’s gaze and said to the Three-Eyed Golden Lion beside him, "Don’t make eye contact with this desiccated corpse. Lower all your heads!"
The Three-Eyed Golden Lion was naturally dauntless and felt no fear toward the Mad God, but it was obedient. It lowered all its heads at once, no longer staring at her.
Tarvali spoke again, her voice a string of hisses and guttural clicks.
Wang Yi remained perfectly still and didn’t respond. The desiccated figure shook her head, a hint of disappointment in the gesture. She then sat down cross-legged, took out a piece of Ruyi Golden Steel and a light blue fruit, and placed them on the ground before her. Then she simply stared at the two items in a daze.
Wang Yi waited quietly for a moment. When Tarvali remained motionless, he gave the Three-Eyed Golden Lion a meaningful glance, pointed toward the Profound Celestial Stele, and carefully made his escape.
Nothing unexpected happened. Wang Yi and the Three-Eyed Golden Lion were successfully teleported back to Kunmi Mountain. The moment they arrived, Wang Yi hurriedly used the Six Forbidden Flying Swords to cut off the Profound Celestial Stele’s teleportation function.
’That should do it. The Mad God is locked in that warehouse now. She shouldn’t be a problem anymore!’
Wang Yi breathed a sigh of relief and turned to look at Li Xuanyu in the pit. Li Xuanyu, looking somewhat surprised, said to Wang Yi, "The Mad God... she didn’t harm you!"
"I have no quarrel with her, so why would she attack me?"
Wang Yi smiled faintly, then climbed onto the Three-Eyed Golden Lion’s back. He pointed forward, and the lion leaped over the summit, heading toward the back of the mountain.
A short while later, Wang Yi reached the back of the mountain and finally found the entrance to a mine.
「Meanwhile, beneath the Mind Treasure Tree.」
BOOM! A deafening noise erupted from within the body of the desiccated, golden-armored Mad God, as if a bomb had just detonated inside him. He coughed up a mouthful of blood and seemed to lose all his strength, collapsing in front of the Profound Celestial Stele. He struggled to sit up, but his head only slumped forward, and he fell still.
’As expected of a Mad God. No ordinary person could possibly suppress him!’
Mingyu Divine Lord made a grasping motion with her hand, and the four small flags she had arranged on the ground immediately flew into her grasp.
It was she who had just been fighting the Mad God and had struck him down.
After retrieving the flags, Mingyu Divine Lord took a single step and appeared before the Profound Celestial Stele. With a second step, she merged into the stone and was teleported away.
"As expected of the Lord of the Mingyu Divine Country, to be able to take on a Mad God head-on. It seems the Mad God’s Secret Treasure is destined to be hers!"
The words came as an exclamation from a bald, powerfully built man in black. He was Doctor Destruction Zandis of the Primordial Magnetic Divine Country. He strode forward, following closely behind Mingyu Divine Lord, and vanished through the Profound Celestial Stele.
After Zandis teleported away, another figure quickly approached the Profound Celestial Stele. Clad in a hooded grey robe and holding a Snake Staff, this was Godslaying Wizard Jigada of the Demon Realm Royal Court.
Once Jigada had teleported away, an enormous ball of flesh came rolling over. It was over three hundred zhang in diameter, and the ground trembled as it moved. This was none other than the Starry Giant Beast, Great Shock!
The Starry Giant Beast made a beeline for the Profound Celestial Stele and soon vanished through it as well.
A little while later, Tie Suifeng and Yin Kui arrived, strolling leisurely. The two of them surveyed their surroundings, pointing at the Mind Treasure Tree as they spoke.
Just then, the body of the Mad God, who sat slumped and cross-legged before the Profound Celestial Stele, twitched. He lifted his head as if his strength had returned, and slowly, he rose to his feet.
The Mad God did not leave, however. He simply stood before the Profound Celestial Stele, as if guarding it.
