Strongest Lord by Opening Blind Boxes
Chapter 517 - 348: Teaming Up to KillChapter 517: Chapter 348: Teaming Up to Kill
On the Chessboard Battlefield, Wang Yi had played all three of his pieces: the Northern Cyan War God Li Xuanjun, the Cold Pool Master Zhong Wuya, and the Ancient Priest Jiang Wanggong, who now joined forces to battle the Master of the Yellow Robe, Luo Feng.
The trio unleashed a variety of powerful techniques, causing the entire Chessboard Battlefield to roil as violent energy rampaged wildly.
The Northern Cyan War God, Li Xuanjun, possessed a Piercing Skill. Like a Military General on the battlefield, he charged head-on, his body streaking like a Celestial Fire Meteor. The long spear in his hand could unleash the shadow of a dragon.
The Cold Pool Master, Zhong Wuya, wielded his Magic Staff, specializing in an Ice Beam and the Cold Pool Domain, which slowed all enemies within its range. His Magic was immensely powerful.
The Ancient Priest, Jiang Wanggong, was a support who could fight, take hits, and heal. He also had many bizarre abilities; with a simple, respectful bow, he dispatched all the Yellow Robe Warriors that Luo Feng had created through his Exorcism Ceremony.
As for Luo Feng, although he was one level lower than the trio, his combat prowess was clearly far greater.
His abilities were also extremely bizarre. His Transformation into a Giant Dragon was just one of them, and it was hardly surprising that he could create Yellow Robe Warriors from blood and scales. He then initiated a Yellow Robe ritual, sloughing off his skin as a Golden Giant Dragon and emerging as a Three-headed Dragon.
The Three-headed Dragon had long, slender necks and a pair of broad wings. These wings were sinister, Dark Gold in color and covered with eyes, each one capable of firing a powerful Ray.
Its three heads could also spew lightning!
His defenses were even more formidable. He could withstand the Northern Cyan War God’s piercing attacks head-on without any damage to his Scale Armor. Even when hit by an Ice Beam, his body wouldn’t freeze over.
Meanwhile, the dragon skin he had shed crashed to the ground with a THUD and swiftly transformed into a tattered Yellow Robe!
In short, the battle between the four was fierce. Luo Feng held his own against the three opponents and was by no means at a disadvantage. His abilities were sinister, and he even gave the impression of growing stronger the longer he fought.
"Once a game has begun, a winner must be decided! Taishang, you little brat, your own cleverness will be your undoing! I can’t wait to see the look on your face after I slaughter all of your pieces!"
Luo Feng even had strength to spare, roaring at the sky.
Wang Yi didn’t respond.
He observed Luo Feng’s fighting style intently, having already prepared himself for the worst: the defeat of his three champions.
However, Wang Yi wasn’t particularly worried. Unlike ordinary Celestial Covering Chessmasters, his Divine Techniques were not skills. They were a higher form of power, unaffected by any abilities that might suppress skills.
If Li Xuanjun and the others were removed from the board, Wang Yi would reveal himself. After all, he was no ordinary Celestial Covering Chessmaster. Having no pieces left didn’t mean he was powerless—he could fight using his Divine Techniques.
’His abilities are bizarre... he sheds his skin as easily as taking off clothes. I wonder if he has any other forms.’
Meanwhile, back in the Jade Palace, the situation was anything but normal. Suite 666 was under heavy surveillance, and the entire area outside the palace was crawling with Law Enforcement Envoys.
These Law Enforcement Envoys were all masters, tasked with maintaining order in Dajing City, suppressing private duels, and eliminating troublemakers.
But this current deployment was meant to block any information from leaking out. The entire Jade Palace was surrounded, and no one inside was permitted to leave.
Some of the Law Enforcement Envoys knew part of the inside story and remained silent. Most, however, were in the dark, simply assuming that something had gone wrong at the auction and that they were there to eliminate some evildoers.
"Who has the gall to cause trouble at a Jade Palace auction? Don’t they know the palace is an institution under the direct control of the Royal Court?"
"It’s been years since we’ve seen a deployment this large. The troublemaker must be a master, or they wouldn’t have called all of us out!"
"Do we have any information on the culprit’s identity?"
"Unknown at this time!"
"Strange. Why hasn’t the Chaotic Heaven Enforcement Instrument, which monitors the entire city, given any instructions?"
"I heard the Chaotic Heaven Enforcement Instrument was shut down. We have no idea what the situation is inside the Jade Palace right now!"
"Our mission is to seal off the Jade Palace. No one gets in or out. Anything else isn’t our concern. Just do your jobs, everyone, and don’t cause any unnecessary complications!"
"Anyone who dares to cause trouble in Dajing City will die without a burial. I suppose the Lord wants to use this to reassert his authority!"
"Look, the Lord himself has actually shown up..."
A giant mechanical bird slowly flew over the bustling Dajing City.
All of Dajing City was a no-fly zone. Anyone who dared to fly without authorization would be captured by the Law Enforcement Envoys or blasted out of the sky by the city’s Anti-Aircraft Cannons.
But the giant mechanical bird flew on unopposed, escorted by a contingent of Law Enforcement Envoys.
For that was the mount of the Lord of the Dajing Royal Court.
This Chaos Lord now stood upon the giant mechanical bird’s back. He had a bizarre appearance, like a tin barrel topped with a fish tank; he no longer possessed a human form.
He had no limbs or facial features. His brain was housed in the transparent, fish-tank-like container—a pulpy mass in which only two eyeballs drifted about at random.
His torso was a tin cylinder about a meter tall, flecked with rust and showing signs of severe corrosion. A lock was fastened to its back.
The bottom of this tin cylinder was connected directly to the giant mechanical bird.
If a Player with an inspection-type Divine Technique were present, they would see that this Lord of the Mirror Lake Royal Court was named Chen Jinghu. He was a cyborg, and his level was not high—only 200.
"My Lord!"
Cheng Tianlong, the leader of the Law Enforcement Envoys, dressed in a black robe, came forward to greet him. He bowed with cupped hands toward Chen Jinghu on the mechanical bird’s back. "You gave the direct order for us to seal off the Jade Palace," he said. "May I ask for what purpose?"
The giant mechanical bird came to a halt, and a muffled voice emanated from the tin cylinder on its back. "This is an order from the Upper Realm. I’m not entirely clear on the specific reason myself. Someone is likely causing a disturbance at the auction, and Grand Inspector Luo Feng is in the process of apprehending them!"
