Chapter 1062: The True Wielder of Mind

The Mind Apostle stared into the woman’s eyes and spoke in a hard tone.

"A lowly slave like you dares to gaze upon me with defiance? Me, your ever-benevolent master who had granted you the chance to stand before me with your pathetic existence. It is truly detestable. You are nothing but one in billions, and yet I have given you such an opportunity, yet you choose not to show me the proper reverence for my generosity? Perhaps I should cast your mind into the abyss for your defiance and have your body defiled by my dogs."

"N-No, master! No! I serve only you. I have dedicated my life to only you."

The Mind Apostle leaned forward calmly and spoke into the woman’s ear in a way that made her entire body shiver.

"I do not care for your dedication, worm. What I want is your obedience. You are nothing."

The woman’s eyes glazed over as she responded obediently.

"I am nothing."

"You are a slave born to fulfill my desires."

"Yes, master. I was born to obey you."

"You are my puppet."

"I am your puppet."

The Mind Apostle pulled back slightly and looked into the woman’s eyes, and he smiled when he saw that she was now staring at him with more devotion than before. It would take a little while for her mind to be completely tamed, but the Mind Apostle knew that she was slowly falling into his web. Just that knowledge alone gave the Mind Apostle far more satisfaction than anything else in the world!

This was how the Mind Apostle took control of his women! Unlike the people that the Mind Apostle used his Arcane Attribute [Mind Corruption] on, and was able to take under his control immediately, the Mind Apostle felt a strange form of dissatisfaction at the thought of using his Arcane Attribute on his slaves! Using that Attribute made the Mind Apostle feel completely disconnected from the people he took under his control, and even though the people under that Attribute obeyed the Mind Apostle and did whatever he wanted, the Mind Apostle just didn’t care for them at all!

So, rather than using that Attribute on his slaves, the Mind Apostle used a slow and gradual form of coercion that was tied into his words! This was not an Arcane Art, magical skill, or even any form of mythical ability at all! What the Mind Apostle was using on these women was common hypnosis that had been mastered to the level where he could completely rewrite the internal ideology of any being using nothing but his words alone! When these women are first brought here by the Mind Apostle, they all have the same defiant, hateful looks on their faces! The women were his slaves, but they did not act like it yet, so the Mind Apostle took his time training them!

Slowly, over days, months, and years, the Mind Apostle filled their heads with the truth of their existence! He told them who they truly were and coerced them under his control like puppets tied to a string! The Mind Apostle did not want to use his Arcane or magic skills on his slaves, so he used a coercion that allowed him to feel a much greater form of satisfaction as he watched them fall deeper and deeper under his control! This particular woman had been in this castle for only three months now, and the Mind Apostle knew that the reason she was still so defiant was because of her intense devotion towards her former god!

But the Mind Apostle didn’t care! The Mind Apostle was now her only god, and he demanded nothing less than absolute obedience from his worshippers! It was only a matter of time before he broke her mind completely, and by the end of the fourth month, she would be just as obedient as all his other slaves!

The Mind Apostle let the woman go, and she fell to the ground and immediately went to her knees while grabbing the Mind Apostle by his feet with a desperate look in her eyes, but the Mind Apostle ignored her and moved towards the large door beside him! The doors were opened by another woman who also knelt obediently to the Mind Apostle, and the Mind Apostle ignored her and entered the room before the door was closed with a heavy groan.

Once the door closed, the lights in the room turned on to reveal a massive, towering chamber that went up for miles! This had once been the throne room of the royal castle, and it had been built in a way that would allow the king to talk to hundreds of thousands of people all at the same time! The room was a spiraling cylinder with benches arranged on various balconies that travelled up along the wall. There were hundreds of thousands of chairs that would’ve been filled with the nobility of this fallen kingdom, but right now, each and every single chair was occupied by men who had an identical appearance to the Mind Apostle!

All the men were sitting like statues! Their backs were straight, and their eyes stared forward without blinking even once! These men were homunculi created using this body’s unique magical ability! They all possessed the exact same physical and biological makeup as the Mind Apostle, but none of them possessed the mental capacity that would allow them to move around and speak like regular people! The only way they would be able to finally move was if the Mind Apostle transferred his consciousness into them! And that would only happen if his current body were to die.

This was where all the replicas that Jason had killed in Honduras had come from! For someone like the Mind Apostle, who had perfect control over his mental faculties, transferring his consciousness from one body to another was not a problem at all! So the moment Jason killed any one body, the thoughts, memories, and emotions inside that body would be immediately transferred into another body, so it would be as though no one had died! But even though these bodies looked and acted real, they were still only artificially produced replicas, and that was why Jason hadn’t been able to resurrect any of them! They had no soul!

The Mind Apostle ignored all the homunculi, and his eyes immediately travelled towards the large golden throne sitting in the middle of the room. There was a bright light shining down on the throne, like a beacon of authority, and on the throne sat an unconscious skeletal figure! The figure looked like he hadn’t eaten in years, with his ribs showing through his skin and his cheeks sunken in. The figure had no hair, but on his head sat a strange metallic cap that had thousands of wires stretching out from it and travelling up towards the darkness above the throne room! It was like a sacrificial being that had been left to rot for all of eternity, and no one would ever believe that the man standing before the throne was nothing but a homunculus, and the skeletal man sitting on that throne was the true wielder of the Arcane Art of Mind!

This was Theosis.

The Mind Apostle gazed upon his true body for a few seconds before he turned away emotionlessly and called out:

"Bathseda!"

A ripple tore open somewhere above the Mind Apostle’s head and formed into a Dimensional Tear, and a figure slowly floated out of the Dimensional Tear calmly.

"You need not call upon me so rudely, Theosis. I am always here."
