Sugar Daddy System: Infinite Money, Endless Harem
Chapter 55: Linda: I Am Rich!!!No, wait... Linda, Linda, how could you have such a stupid thought?
You’re not the brainless Tina. Your rival is Anna, she definitely wouldn’t sell the card. What if it pissed off the sugar daddy?
Linda instantly shook off those ridiculous thoughts. The restaurant manager, Ginny, came down personally.
She looked at Ryan flirtatiously and said playfully, "Mr. Ryan, you haven’t even spent half of that one million from last time. Why open a new card already?"
Hearing that, Linda’s heart pounded even harder.
But after sizing up the vixen-like Ginny, she was certain this flirt was no pushover either, casting those seductive glances at who exactly?
Sure enough, Ryan was a wealthy young master hiding in plain sight, pretending to be poor at school while these buzzing bees threw themselves at him in real life.
With such fierce competition, Anna must be under a lot of pressure too.
Tina, with your one-track mind, how could you possibly handle these women? Let your sister handle this.
She happily filled out the form. Ryan said casually, "Put one million on this card too. Keep things fair."
Swipe the card, print the receipt, sign, until they were in the elevator holding the Brilliant Hotel diamond card, Linda still felt her heart racing, her blood pumping, her head buzzing.
Ryan glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. She was practically glowing with greed. He kept his expression neutral, but inside he was calculating.
One million on a card for Linda was an investment. If he could bind her properly, the returns would be worth it.
"You seem excited," Ryan said lightly, a hint of amusement in his voice.
Linda quickly composed herself, forcing a demure smile.
"I’m just... surprised. You’re so generous, Ryan."
"It’s nothing," he replied, stepping out of the elevator. "Just money."
Just money. The words echoed in Linda’s head. To her, one million was life-changing. To him, it was just pocket change. She had to lock this down.
As the top upscale restaurant, the Sky Garden had not only a main hall and VIP seats but also private rooms.
Since many guests valued their privacy, Ginny led them to a luxurious and opulent private room this time.
Floor-to-ceiling windows offered a panoramic view of the city’s nightscape, bright lights, bustling traffic.
"Take a look at what you want to eat?"
Ryan pushed the menu toward her.
Sitting face to face, Linda finally came back to her senses a bit. Though she was thrilled that her goal had been achieved, the sheer amount of money still felt surreal. She needed time to process this sudden fortune.
Linda’s eyes shimmered with a misty sheen, and she said obediently, "Ryan, I’m not picky. I’ve never been to such a nice place, just order whatever, I’ll eat it."
Ryan smiled faintly.
"Alright. I’ll order for both of us."
Ginny asked at that moment, "Mr. Ryan, should we bring over your Louis XIII?"
Ryan shook his head: "No. Do you have a new one? Open another bottle. That one’s almost gone anyway."
"Sorry, Louis XIII is an auction-grade wine. We only have that one bottle as our signature piece."
Ginny quickly added, "If you need one, Mr. Ryan, our restaurant will source it for you."
"Get some good stuff. Louis XIII, and other auction-grade things too."
Ryan was a bit disappointed and asked them to bring the remaining third of the Louis XIII, then said gently, "Sorry, Linda. I wanted to open a bottle for you too, but there’s no stock right now."
Linda’s heart fluttered at his words. He wanted to open a bottle just for her. That had to mean something, right?
The legendary Louis XIII...
Watching the waiter carefully pour the amber liquid into a crystal goblet, Linda’s heart was pounding like crazy.
Though she felt a pang of disappointment, she quickly shook her head obediently and sensibly: "No need. Such expensive wine would be wasted on me."
Ryan raised an eyebrow. "You’d be surprised. You might like it."
He took a sip of his own, watching her over the rim of the glass. She was playing her part well, the humble, grateful girl who didn’t want to be a burden. But he knew the truth. She wanted more. And he was willing to give it to her, as long as it served his purpose.
"Linda, try the shark’s fin soup here. It’s excellent."
"Two servings of shark’s fin soup, a king crab, a Buddha Jumps Over the Wall, chilled black abalone (full pound), garlic snowflake beef, and wine-braised mullet roe."
"That’s enough, Ryan. Enough to eat."
Linda said obediently, her address growing more intimate.
"And a sashimi platter. That’s all."
Ryan smiled and closed the menu, handing it back.
Linda’s heart was racing. She had flipped through it earlier too, the first page featured the Sky Garden’s new sashimi platter.
That first page already made her heart race, it wasn’t the common salmon, horse mackerel, or other cheap stuff ordinary people knew.
Australian lobster was practically basic there. Bluefin tuna she vaguely recognized, the belly was probably the pricier part.
There was also red-collar sailfish, giant geoduck, and stone-faced lantern anglerfish.
Being from a coastal city, she knew seafood prices well.
The ones that couldn’t be farmed or netted, the weirder the name, the pricier they were. Things like abalone and lobster were small fry in comparison.
That single sashimi platter cost eight thousand. She didn’t even want to imagine how extravagant this meal would be.
Ryan watched her reaction, He could practically see the dollar signs in her eyes.
"Linda, have a drink!"
Ryan raised his glass first.
This bottle of Louis XIII had quite a legendary run, he had shared it with Anna, Yana, and now Linda, one of his targets.
Money well spent.
They clinked glasses and took a sip. Gazing at the beautiful city nightscape, Linda felt like she was getting drunk.
She asked softly and coquettishly, "Ryan, you’re clearly not short on money, so why do you pretend to be so poor at school?"
"Picking up leftovers at the cafeteria, delivering food, washing dishes... I really don’t get it."
She blinked her big, innocent, curious eyes, adorable, playing the pure white lotus act like she was puzzled by the ways of the rich.
Ryan chuckled and said, "Family rules. Don’t ask about that. Right now, my living expenses card plus mobile wallet only have a thousand dollars total."
He kept his answer vague on purpose. Let her fill in the blanks with her own imagination. It was easier that way.
And sure enough, Linda’s mind was already racing. Family rules.
Of course, a rich heir forced to live like a peasant to learn the value of money. It was just like those drama series she’d binge-watched. And now she was living inside one.
’But that other card of yours swiped one million in one go.’
Seeing that Ryan didn’t want to elaborate, naturally Linda, like Anna, filled in the blanks herself: a rich heir playing the low-key, poor lifestyle for the sake of true love, like some cheesy idol drama.
With that background in mind, she looked back at Ryan’s three years of simp behavior.
Before, she would have scoffed at it. But now, she found it deeply admirable, he had been treated so coldly, yet he still refused to use money to taint love.
Now that was true pure love... Linda thought to herself with secret delight. I’ll be your one and only true love.
